SEO Submission Service or Ads on Blogs?
-
1. Can anyone recommend a good SEO Submission Service? Or do you not recommend using them?
2. What do you think is a better way to build links? Directory listings or place ads on blog sites? Each post a blogger post would have the ad link.
Thoughts?

Hi Mof3kz,
First of all I do not recommend anything that is automated SEO. I just don't believe in that. (I know there are people who will disagree with me )
Secondary, link building... Now this is tricky. Because it all depends on what niche are you in, what kind of websites do you work with. Once again I will pull out an idea which probably is not supported by to many, but I don't like directory listings. There are some, which can give you a real boost, but from visitors point of view, I still love to target blogs. I just love how you can target niche-targeted visitors to your website through some content link from a blog entry or a banner. Building links while participating in communities is, from my point of view, a winning situation. You will not just earn the visit, you will earn trust.
BTW: placing ads on blogs can help you, but... I would suggest guest blogging. It is way cheaper than buying an ad on a blog(on monthly basis) and it contributes to the specific blog with good content (and a good link, ).
I hope that helped,
Istvan
P.S. : I know there will be other opinions regarding this matter, this is only my thought.

SEO Training Question
Hi Iv been asked iv to host a basic SEO training session for some employees who have never had any experience in SEO before. Obviously SEO covers so many things and it would be imposisble to run through everything in a single training session. I was curious as to what you guys think would be the best use of the time for the training session? Thanks in advance

Real Estate and Vacation Resorts SEO
I am assigned to a few vacation resort sites for SEO plus a Real Estate site. I was hoping to get few suggestions from people that have worked on those fields before. Like good web directories for link building or even some good sites that I should have in mind for comparing mine. Thanks in advance

Link Building: Just Great Content, Blog Comments, and Guest Blog Posts?
I love SEOMoz. It has motivated me to dive way more into SEO. I know all the shoulds. But what fascinates me about SEO is that shoulds don't always match up to what works. I'm looking at Open Site Explorer, specifically my site. I see a lot of links I got naturally. By having awesome content. So is there any point in emailing people asking htem to add my link? Or do I spend my time writing awesome content, sharing it on social media, and hoping someone comes across it and shares it? I know blog commenting, when relevant, can bring me new visitors. I'm sure it helps SEO too. Maybe I just need to reach out and write guest blog posts for grabbing some links? Its just as Google wants it! OMG, how white hat. Is that it? or should I be even more active? I.E. emailing people and saying "hey, I have this awesome website, your readers would find it useful" sort of thing? Love to hear your opinion!

We run a classified site and after every day there are thousands of ads/pages that get expired which has no use to visitors. What is the best practice to deal with them keeping SEO factor in mind? Should we keep them as they are linking to home page. redirect 301 to existing, 404 to home page or any other practice. Please advise.

Would you approve this blog comment?
I just got an unusual comment on one of my blog posts on our real estate site. The article was about a particular street that is getting renamed after a historical figure. The comment is seven paragraphs of information about this person. The comment is an obvious attempt to get a backlink in my opinion. The site that it is linking back to is an architect's site. So, this is probably the work of an SEO. I've searched and can't find duplicate content online. I thought perhaps it was from wikipedia but there is no entry on this person and I've searched several phrases from the comment and it doesn't appear to be duplicated. So, would you approve it? My gut instinct is "yes" because it would add to the content on my site...but there's this little thing in the back of my head that is saying "Don't do it!!!!" EDIT: I just checked and the architect's site has 3 backlinks, none of which are blog comments. So, perhaps it is legit. Maybe someone is just fanatical about this historical figure. EDIT AGAIN: Very cool. I just checked their about page and the owner of the business has the same last name as the historical figure. OK. I'll stop being super paranoid now. LOL!
