Are pages with lots of pictures with outbound links bad for seo?
-
"Inspiration" blog posts are a good example. The one below has 80 pictures as part of a logo inspiration page. But each picture has an outbound url. Bad or doesn't matter?

Hey,
I agree that the best option, as Francisco mentioned is to <nofollow>the outbound links in order to retain the pages authority and not send any fishy signals to Google. </nofollow>
As far as the content issue goes, it could use a little bit better "text to code" ratio, but content doesn't always mean text. I'm also in branding and graphic design and found the post to be relevant and exactly as you described it..
80 Creative Logos for your Inspiration
There's 80 logos, and they inspired quite a few ideas as I scrolled down the page. So congratulations on pleasing your target demographic, which is exactly what you should be concentrating on.
A couple of extra paragraphs below the images wouldn't hurt, and definitely nofollow the outbound links, but the first eight words of the post say it all...
They say a picture speaks a thousand words...
A little bit different version of the saying I'm familiar with but the post's content isn't an issue, just get the technical stuff right and you've got a winner. Now if you'll please excuse me while I check out a few more of those logos...
Thanks,
Anthony

I wouldn't use that as a good SEO link building example. This looks like a little grey hat SEO. "If" I were the webmaster of that site, I would <nofollow>all of them so Google could see I wasn't trying to manipulate rankings. I wouldn't say it's bad, but it's definitely not something I would do. Besides, there's hardly any content. There's only about 9 sentences.</nofollow>

I would suggest you just nofollow them, so that you are not essentially giving out a link vote to each of those links. This will make sure you are not passing on SEO benefits/link juice to those sites/links.

If you are worried about having that many links on a single page, use JavaScript to link them.

Need Professional Help with Site Structure, Page Authority, and Internal Linking
We are a 10 year + small (1000 pages) niche ecommerce site (Magento) that has recently lost rankings to a competitor. We out perform them in every metric so I do not understand them leap frogging us to the top spot. This has forced me to look at my site structure, page authority (rank), and internal linking. After reviewing a moz crawl issues report, here are some of my observations: Root domain has a PA of 40 Top 3 $ Category pages have a PA of 22, 18, 18 Multiple meaningless blog posts and other category/product pages have PA’s of 30+ Here is a screenshot of the crawl report with internal links, links, etc showing. I need some help - thoughts, suggestions, next steps in analysis?

Lost SEO contract, new SEO wants us to do the following - can you explain why?
1. Make prokem.co.uk the master domain rather than prokem-corrosion-protection.com 2. Ensure each http URL is 301 redirected to its https counterpart via htaccess rather than in plesk 3. 301 redirect each www.prokem-corrosion-protection.com URL to its co.uk counterpart via htaccess. I can provide a list of pages to redirect as there are a number of duplicate pages that will need removing. It probably makes sense to implement these other changes at the same time: Remove all of the canonical tags currently on the site. Leverage browser caching by following Google’s page speed recommendations - https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/LeverageBrowserCaching Losslessly compress all of the website’s images. Combine and minify the website’s JavaScript

Best SEO extension or plugin for on-page optimization
I was wondering what you guys might recommend for a browser extension or plugin that would help developers optimize each page for specific keywords. I'm looking for a tool that will give me a grade on how well it's optimized with a recommendation checklist. I would use SEOMoz's onpage analysis tool but it doesn't have access to my private development environment (hence the need for a plugin.) Recommendations? Thanks!

Why does the on page report reports a full path link as Cannibalize link?
On the seomoz on page report i get a cannibalize error. This is due to a link being full path. When i change the link to relative path then there is no Cannibalize error. Should i change the internal links of the site to relative path? I would appreciate your help.

Missing meta descriptions on indexed pages, portfolio, tags, author and archive pages. I am using SEO all in one, any advice?
I am having a few problems that I can't seem to work out.....I am fairly new to this and can't seem to work out the following: Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂 1. I am missing alot of meta description tags. I have installed "All in One SEO" but there seems to be no options to add meta descriptions in portfolio posts. I have also written meta descriptions for 'tags' and whilst I can see them in WP they don't seem to be activated. 2. The blog has pages indexed by WP- called Part 2 (/page/2), Part 3 (/page/3) etc. How do I solve this issue of meta descriptions and indexed pages? 3. There is also a page for myself, the author, that has multiple indexes for all the blog posts I have written, and I can't edit these archives to add meta descriptions. This also applies to the month archives for the blog. 4. Also, SEOmoz tells me that I have too many links on my blog page (also indexed) and their consequent tags. This also applies to the author pages (myself ). How do I fix this? Thanks for your help 🙂 Regards Nadia
