We have links from our page at .com and .com/. Should we be concerned about this and try to merge?
-
When running link reports for our page .com, it redirects to .com/. We do have links for both URLs, but .com/ is significantly more than the other. Should we be concerned by this? Are we losing some links because of this?

Are you talking about internal or external links, or both? All internal links should be updated to the preferred page. There is an htaccess that will make your non www redirect to www, and also .com/ redirect to .com or vice versa. If your internal links are pointing to a page that redirects to another page, I would say that is not good and would advise to update to the preferred page right away.
If your talking external links, there is really nothing you can do about that. I get links to my site from sites I never even heard of before and they tend to get the wrong url on my site as well. Just build a 404 error page to visitors who land on a wrong page can easily navigate back to a page on your site. For all future external linking strategies, use the preferred landing page. I wouldn't recommend linking to a redirected page if at all possible.
Hope I understood your question correctly and my reply is helpful.

The issue would be having 2 pages with separate Title (or identical title is even worse) on those two URLs. If you have permanent 301 redirect set up for one to point to the other, your links will follow naturally.
You would not need to change anything on your external links, but I would suggest your future links to stay consistent and point to the chosen URL.

Good question! But all links to .com or .com/ are treated the same. They all juice the root page of your domain. Dont worry, you wont loose any links. .com is similar to .com/ and vice versa.

Should blogger award badges/links be nofollowed?
I'm pretty sure the answer to this will be a big yes. Obviously this is a tactic that can be gamed quite easily, but I wanted to know if there are any clear guidelines on this. We've done a post about the most influential food bloggers using our own tool, so there's proper data behind the top ten. We wanted to reach out and let them know, give them a badge to include that might drive a bit of traffic and raise some brand awareness. That's why the question has come up as we want to make sure we advise the bloggers properly if a nofollow is best practice.

Will short linking to my site affect SERPs attribution of inbound link?
Some brand partners are using their short links to link back to our site (like bit.ly but they have their own). They have a high domain authority and trust so we want that link back to be read by Google. When I downloaded all inbound links from Moz, this brand's site was not listed, making me worried that the inbound link isn't being seen or considered! Haven't been able to find any info on this...

Are Links/Resources pages considered spam?
I'm dabbling with link building in a non link-happy industry, traffic safety (IE Traffic cones, barricades, safety vests, etc...). We currently are doing #RCS in terms of giveaways for college students as well as discounts in a wider EDU Outreach campaign as well as legitimate guest posting. I have started to use Link Prospector, and got a list of links/resources pages that we can get info from. I found some great links through here, including ways to get links from higher-profile .gov domains, but was wondering if it is worth it to go after the high(er) quality links/resources pages. By higher quality, I usually set a floor of a DA 25-30 and have a limited amount of external links per page. These would be for branded keywords (IE the company name/domain) and not exact match anchor text. I'd really like to see how other SEOs feel about this. 2 links going to same domain but different pages
Hi, How is the link juice distributed when you have 2 links in the same article but they go to different pages on the same domain? I know some say if 2 links go to the same page in an article then only the first link passes juice. Would it be better to have 2 articles each having 1 link or 2 articles each having 2 links?

"gimme links" = easy to fill out profile/personal reputation links that offer a do-follow anchor text flexible link
I'm doing some SEO for small niche service sites...and aside from niche directories and some light article marketing and local search directories (yelp, etc) there really isn't a budget for content generation. I really only have a budget for profile/submission links. What are some sites where you can quite easily fill out a personal profile with an anchor text variable link that may not be THAT juicy but will stick (i.e. not a spam/fake profile type of link, but something like Linkedin). I'll start with giving away 1 www.istockphoto.com Any others that aren't obvious?

External links--Does it matter which page they go to?
I'll be doing some linkbuilding in which I will be asking manufacturers of the products we sell to link back to our site. My thought was to have a single page for our "Valued Suppliers" with a badge that I would give them the embed code for. If the URL goes to a "Valued Supplier" page on our site where there are multiple manufacturers, will this help my entire site or only the page that's being linked to? Thanks in advance!

Should I optimize/link build all my pages at once?
I'm currently starting to optimize about 30 area specific pages for a property maintenance company and was wondering, what's the best way to link build multiple pages at once? Should I link build for all of the 30 the pages at once, or maybe focus on 5 individual pages - get them ranking well, then focus on the next 5 and so on?
