Need Reviews on my new website
-
Hi, I recently developed this website: http://goo.gl/fl5a5 And started link building to that website and getting some very good links so far. So far ok, but i would request some experienced guys here to post some reviews and help me with your suggestions so that i can rank better. Its been a month since i started link building to this site. .
PS: I have cloned my competitors site with unique content. Will this becomes an issue? You can check my competitors site by Google'in my site entire title. Please let me know your thoughts on this.

It's OK. Panic over. I thought you were saying that you had copied somebody's content.
I would recommend starting at the bottom. I wrote an answer to a similar question not too long ago:
http://www.seomoz.org/q/first-links-for-a-new-site
One thing to remember is to think naturally. If you are looking at starting link building projects then always question whether the methods you are using look authentic and organic.
One last thing to remember, please don't ask people to write fake reviews of your sites and/or products. Don't take shortcuts in SEO or you will get stung like the millions of other sites using the same tactics as you. The chances of getting anybody on SEOMoz to partake in questionable methods is pretty low (or actually nearly impossible).

Hi Matt, Yes i have copied a website design but added my own content to it. Actually its not his design also, its a wordpress theme named "lifestyle ". Actually i didn't find any better theme than this. I will change the theme as soon as possible when i get a better one. And regarding website review, you haven't given any info about how should i improve my website ranking further. Thanks.

Erm. I'm a little confused here. Is this a joke? Are you saying that you have stolen your competitors content and added it to your own website?
The two words "unique" and "cloned" certainly do not go hand in hand. If you have copied somebody's unique content then it is no longer unique and certainly will not help you in the slightest!
Hopefully I read your question wrong but after re-reading, I can't see where I might have misunderstood.
EDIT:
Actually, having investigated a little further it appears that you have actually copied somebody's website design and added your own content. Can you confirm that this first link is yours and the second is your competitors?

I would question the need to clone a website, especially one which looks to be targeting English speakers with a look, feel and design which looks like it has been made by buying by a Fiverr.com gig from an oversees design company... Why not build your own? I have nothing against websites built oversees by the way - it just seems that there are so many poor ones out there!

Rankings drop from the new update
Hello, I've noticed some big ranking downs on important keywords, from the last Google update, and don't really know what seams to be the problem, but have an assumption. In April 2015 we had 3.000.000 pages indexed by Google, and 80% of them had duplicated content for about 90% of it. The site I'm talking about is http://nobelcom.com/. The duplicated content came from variations between calling from and calling to selections, because each of this selection was making a new url (ex. nobelcom.com/caling from/calling to). If "calling from" and calling to were the same country the url was nobelcom.com/calling-from, but after you chosen another calling to, the url become like the one in the example. To solve this I've decided to keep the nobelcom.com/calling-from urls and for different calling to country to display the content trough a javascript, because it was the same, it changed only the country names and the rates. I thought that this change will help us with the duplicate content, and still deliver our client what they are interested in, without affecting the UX, and also reducing the link juice dilution because we had 3.000.000 indexed by Google and most of them with no added value Can this be the reason for the drops? Now we have 590.000 pages indexed by Google.

SEO issues? New functionality added to website and now hash (in URL) - fragments
Hi All! We have new nice functionality on website, but now i doubt if we will have SEO issues. Duplicate content and if google is able to spider our website. See: http://www.allesvoorbbq.nl/boretti-da-vinci-nero.html#608=1370
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | RetailClicks
With the new functionality we can switch between colors of the models (black / white / red / yellow).
When you switch with Ajax the content of other models is fetched without refreshing the page. (so the url initial part of url stays the same (for initial model) only part behind # changes. The other models are also accessible by there own url, like the red one: http://www.allesvoorbbq.nl/boretti-da-vinci-rosso.html#608=1372 So far so good. But now the questions: 1. We use to have url like /boretti-da-vinci-nero.html - also our canonical is that way But now if we access that url our system is adding automatically the #123-123 to the url to indicate which model(color) is shown. Is this hurting SEO or confusing google? Because it seems that the clean url is not accessible anymore? (it adds now #123-123) 2. Should we add some tags around the different types (colors) to prevent google from indexing that part of website? Every info would be very helpfull! We do not want to lose our nice rankings thanks to MOZ! Thanks all!

Need advice for indexing a multilingual website
We are in the process of creating a Spanish subdomain of our website. I want to know what needs to be done in regard to meta tags, sitemap.xml and robots.txt so that Google and Bing will index both website properly and not causing the web page on the English site to lost rank. Our English site is www.mydomain.com with the Spanish site being es.mydomain.com We are planning to put a button or link on both sites so that visitors can switch between both sites. The two sites are similar but not all pages are mirror images.

Website change of address
Hi Everyone, I apologize if the answer to this questions is obvious, but I wanted some input on how changing our web address of our site will affect our SERP. We are looking to change our website address from a.com to b.com due to rebranding of our company (primarly to expand our product line as our current url and company name are restricting). I understand that this can be done using 301 direct and via webmaster tools with google. My question is how does this work exactly? Will our old website address show in SERP rankings, and when a user clicks on the listing are they redirected to our new address? With regards to building new links from press releases etc, do we have links point to our new web address or the old one in order to increase SERP? Does google see our old address and new address as the same website and therefor it does not matter where inbound links point to and both will increase our ranking positions? It took 6 years of in house seo to get our website to rank on the first page of all the major search engines for our keywords, so we am being very cautious before we do anything. Thanks everyone for your input, it is greatly appreciated 🙂

Social Signals...I Need More
Hi, Having used the Open Site Explorer (page specific metrics) tool I've realized I'm lacking in the Social Signals area...I have only 1 tweet and ZERO for everything else (Facebook shares, Likes, Google +1 etc). So I have 2 quesitons: How can I get more social signals (is there a service I can use to do it)? How long will the new social signals take to appear in the Open Site Explorer information? I've just paid someone on Fiverr.com to share my website link on his Facebook account, to tweet it, and also to use PingFM... Any other ideas would be GREAT - I can see this is a real weakness for my websites... Thanks, James

Could any SEO's please tell me if you think the following is the make up of a solid SEO campaign or if it should be adjusted? 10,000 New Pages of New Content - Should I Block in Robots.txt?
I'm almost ready to launch a redesign of a client's website. The new site has over 10,000 new product pages, which contain unique product descriptions, but do feature some similar text to other products throughout the site. An example of the page similarities would be the following two products: Brown leather 2 seat sofa Brown leather 4 seat corner sofa Obviously, the products are different, but the pages feature very similar terms and phrases. I'm worried that the Panda update will mean that these pages are sand-boxed and/or penalised. Would you block the new pages? Add them gradually? What would you recommend in this situation?
