Does PR Content need to be unique?
-
Hi,
I've noticed that some our competitors are publishing unique content for each PR websites. Is that how it should be?
Thanks

Assuming you're not just using cheap press release services and are happy to invest time into PR activity to improve the chances of it being successful, it makes sense to tailor you press release for the audiences you send it out to.
Don't think of it in terms of unique vs duplicate content, consider whether the article is a good fit for the audience of the publisher you're pitching it to. If it isn't re-write it so it is.

Hi there,
PR is one of the most effective ways to gain traction within minimum amount of time if done properly and a PR with unique content is the way you should go otherwise, the purpose behind gets a hit. Having said how powerful a PR can be, utmost care should be taken not to abuse it. We should be coming up with a PR only when we have a newsworthy article or some interesting stuff about something like a product launch etc. Over doing or releasing PRs too frequently will do more harm than good.
Hope that helps.
Best regards,
Devanur Rafi.

High PR Web 2.0 sites
Hello, I was wondering if you could provide some advice on which are the best Top 20 high pr web 2.0 properties for content besides wordpress? Whilst i do intend to use them to further improve my SEO campaign I also intend to use readable content, that is to say, content that i have written and i feel is worthy of being read by interested parties. What are the top 20 to look at that would benefit an SEO campaign if used correctly (without abusing or being spammy). I can see lots of crappy ones out there but they all look spammy to me and im not really liking that.

Link Building: Just Great Content, Blog Comments, and Guest Blog Posts?
I love SEOMoz. It has motivated me to dive way more into SEO. I know all the shoulds. But what fascinates me about SEO is that shoulds don't always match up to what works. I'm looking at Open Site Explorer, specifically my site. I see a lot of links I got naturally. By having awesome content. So is there any point in emailing people asking htem to add my link? Or do I spend my time writing awesome content, sharing it on social media, and hoping someone comes across it and shares it? I know blog commenting, when relevant, can bring me new visitors. I'm sure it helps SEO too. Maybe I just need to reach out and write guest blog posts for grabbing some links? Its just as Google wants it! OMG, how white hat. Is that it? or should I be even more active? I.E. emailing people and saying "hey, I have this awesome website, your readers would find it useful" sort of thing? Love to hear your opinion!

Ideas needed for onsite SEO
Hi, What sort of activity 'onsite' should I be doing to increase SEO? I was thinking of a FAQ's section with 1 anchor text link in the body of the answer going back to my target page. Will the increase in content along with the anchor text inside of it help increase SERP's? I was also thinking maybe use the keyword tool to find search queries which revolve around questions with high search so for example 'How to change a tyre' answering this question in my FAQ's section and running PPC to it, then wrapping lots of sharing tools around it in the hope it generates some social signals. Anyone got any hidden onsite gems they think might help? Cheers

What would you do with virtually unlimited quality content?
Hi All, We have a site with over 6000 products, several hundred category pages, numerous brand landing pages etc etc. As part of an ever expanding SEO team we have a number of article/content writers that are writing QUALITY content. Because we are in the cooking/cookware/kitchenware niche, these articles are on a range of subjects. E.g. recipes, how to clean products, getting the best out of products, differences between brands and styles, seasonal trends etc etc. We currently have a dedicated blog that is a completely different URL to our ecommerce site, a number of smaller blogs that are quite spammy but rank well for certain terms that are all interlinked in a random way (hey, don't hate me), buying guides, all the usual social media accounts etc. We also sponsor a number of quality external cooking blogs that link back to our site when we give them products to review. My question is, how would you best use this content? We are looking at starting our own blog hosted on our ecommerce domain as well (the one on the other domain is OK, but our new blog will have awesome content). Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks!

Publish content on current domain for content boost or new domain for links?
I have about 1000 unique and organically generated articles. My quote compare business has had briefs submitted by clients for over two years. The content has only been accessible to registered members. I want to polish it ASAP. Is it better to publish the content on the existing website in a sub folder or set up a new website to publish the content and have every article link back to the main website? Content is around 300 words x 1000.

Companies Copy Content with links
One of our customers has been getting a whole bunch of really relevant links recently as many of his competitors are actually going to his site copying the text from his page and forgetting to remove the links that are within the text. Its amazing we have links from major UK providers of his products totally for free. This is where linking to the actual page itself is coming into play and we are gaining good back links. Has anyone else experienced this before ?

Do you link out to good content?
I have noticed that there are a bunch of questions in the Q&A about people are concerned about allowing blog post comments or linking out in general. My question is: do you avoid linking out to other websites, even though they have good content? I am not talking about direct competitors here, but just linking to other websites in general.
