From Theory to Practice. Optimising - Happn Review
-
I read many articles, blogs and forums about SEO. I read almost everything in Moz. It seams that I know how to do SEO but practically I don't get results.
I have a testing page where from time to time I do tests. Today I found in adords that keyword "Happn review" in 2015 of January was searched 1900 times. I wrote this keyword in google and found that all results do not have keyword in their titles. The first result even does not have keyword "review" in text.
I wrote a test http://askquestiononline.com/question/happn-review/ . Put keyword in title and in text. I even put it in image name. But my page is only in the 4th page. It is very strange that all my optimisation tests stuck in the page 4

Hi, start with implementing technical seo into the website and onpage optimization, than you start with off page strategy, like linkbuilding.

Leonie, thank you for your comment and given link.
An interesting thing is that this topic is already in the 12th place for the keyword "happn review"
Everybody speaks about good content in order to get good links. But if you have good content but no links than nobody comes to your page and of cause nobody creates backlinks. What is the best way to start?

Hi, Maybe it's because the page is new? I see the content is written today.
Edit your title tag, be unique
you're PA and DA are not that good as the pages that rank above you. Also your linkprofile is not that big. only 3 different rootdomain and using the same anchortext over and over.here's a link about on page optimization: http://moz.com/learn/seo/on-page-factors maybe you 'll find some tips
And know that SEO takes time.Grtz, Leonie

Best practice in terms of link volume in a page
Hi everyone! Done a site audit recently and found that some articles in our Resource content (where we generally put useful industry news/posts) have multiple links in it (4 to 9 links in a single article). And these are usually internal links (within our domain), but there are few mixed with external domains. What we would like to know: What's the best practice in terms of regulating number of links (internal or external) in an article? Another case I noticed, some links in our articles appeared to be targeting same landing page, just different anchor texts used. Will this get us into trouble? Thanks in advanced for your help.

Does paying a reviewer for an impartial review violate Google's guidelines?
When a company pays for an impartial review from a website, should these links be no-followed? I am confident that paid positive reviews are seen as a manipulation of search, but is paying for an impartial review okay?

Over Optimised Anchor Text (Internal & external)
Hi First - is it possible for internal anchor text to be considered 'over optimised' in terms of diversity or does that just apply to external backlinks ? For example If you have a main site section/page thats about a service you offer and you call the page this service and the URL this service and then link to it from many internal locations (but in a logical useful manner not just for the sake of it) using this service/keyword as the link anchor text i take it this WONT ever be considered over optimised anchor text since is completely in context, makes sense, is useful and after all is what the page/section is called (so would be strange to call it and link to it via any other term) ? Second - I have a project who's backlink profile is nice and diverse and could by no means be considered over optimised on a domain level. However looking at page level a main site section/page (as above) has only one back link with exact match anchor text from the BOTW directory, so in regard to that page keyword rich anchor text from this one backlink is at 100%. However the anchor text is what the page/section is called (title and url). I presume that this is also unlikely to be considered over optimised (since makes sense, is logical helpful and would be strange to name it anything else) or could it be considered over optimised ? Thanks Dan

Best Anchor Text Practices Post Penguin Panda
my question is what are the best practices Post Penguin and Panda for anchor texts? I have heard info about using brand names, and not having duplicate anchor texts. But i'm confused; if its best to have brand names then likely it will end up being duplicate. Also is having no anchor bad? I have also heard that it is best just to use the website URL. It would be great if someone could clear this up for me thanks.

Pagerank sculpting best practices for e-commerce websites
What is currently the best practice to not let pagerank flow to policy, contact and other less important pages on an e-commerce website? Pages have to be visible on the home page, (currently in the footer) so unfortunately they cannot be moved to a "single" url. How likely is that a PR5 home page can sculpt PR4 first category pages if the # of outgoing links are at a reasonable number and structured well? Currently the home page is PR5, but category pages are only PR3 - and not structured properly...

Best practice links
If I am building links from someone with a site that agrees to link to my site and they will give me more than one link should I link to two sites or just two different pages on one of my sites?

Blogging best practice, tips, hints, advice etc (Wordpress-centric)
Hi guys, I have, for the first time, set up a Wordpress blog. I'm moulding the overall theme of it to relate to the industry we operate in. I'm new to this, so looking for any advice, help and info etc on how best to utilise it that you can offer. My initial plan is to write articles as often as possible on what's happening in the markets, and link back to our site where applicable. I'll also do content exchanges with other relevant sites (using My Blog Guest as one means to find relevant bloggers), and give access to contributors as well (felt a bit weird about doing it initially). Sound like a decent blogging strategy? Any and all ideas welcome. Thanks

Public Pre-Release Landing Page Optimisation
We currently have a pre-release landing page online with little content that is hiding our Beta release, is it worth beginning link building against that landing page?
