Why ranks my site so bad?
-
hello together,
i think, that you read questions like this very often, but i hope someone has some good ideas for me.
with the keyword "sophos sg 210" we rank very bad. But i don't know why
We have trust elements, a very good "avergage time on page" unique content...
But i don't know, what can we make better
Thx you so much

So, Couple things I noticed.
- Backlink profile is very poor. Ahrefs and MOZ OSE showing poor profile history (did you guys get hit by penguin or another update at some point?), and currently you have very few backlinks and referring domains.
- Also, there are no backlinks to the actual page, so that decreases your chances.
- Anchor text cloud is nothing but brand name, which has some negative impact (or rather no positive for given keyword).
- On the page, it seems to me that there is a mix of german and english languages (not sure if that would have impact on rankings, but surely looks strange to a user).
- Page is overstuffed with "sophos sg" to the point of ridiculousness
In conclusion, have some backlinks improvements (including internal linking and anchor text usage), considering you are only #13 for given keyword, you gonna on the first page in no time
P.S. This is just what i saw in a glance, SEO audit might be of a good help to you guys.

Your link is broken. And I'd say do not use URL shorteners?

Keyword Cannibalization vs. Optimizing Site
I am in the process of optimizing our website and I am having a hard time reconciling two best practices I have found on Moz. 1. You should avoid having multiple pages focus on the same keyword because you will lose some control of which result will show. 2. You should identify your core keywords and weave these keywords multiple times (naturally) throughout your site. I have spent months identifying our top 7 keywords and am working through the site now. The first piece of advice keeps giving me pause. Can anyone weigh in with other considerations or advice on how I can reconcile these two strategies. Thank you

Unsure about improvement of inner sites
Hi ! I want to improve the ranking of Home on my site. Now I did some on-page SEO on Home itself for the keyword "Webdesign Freiburg". How much does it make sense to put this keyword also into inner sites - although I primarily want to rank Home for this keyword? Does Home profit from putting the keyword into subpages? Cheers and thanks Marc

SEO for E-Commerce Sites
Hi Everybody, I have two e-commerce sites just launched with not much content at the moment just user login pages for the clients to avail the service. The management is not interested to put much content there i think. Maximum what they will be putting only 5 pages of content in total, not more than this. Any practical tips how to optimize such sites especially when there is not much content. Best

Regards to the sites they have one link in the footer on the home page, which is a (do-follow) back to our site. Also, the websites are not in my Niche.

New Pages - Stable Rankings
Hello, Not a direct question really, just a poll really of your experience - I work with a few companies and have noticed recently that there seems to be an increase in the time it takes to go from a) showing up in the index (quickly within a day or two) to b) getting a stable ranking. I see spikes over the first few weeks (even up to 3 months) before the rankings eventually settle. Have you noticed the same, is it taking longer to achieve a stable ranking, do you work with any sites that get indexed, rank, and stay in the same slot for moderately competitive terms comparing to a year or tow ago? Interested to hear other people's experience and how long we expect to wait for new content to settle Thanks

Should I remove the Jetpack Plugin From A SIte
I dont know if anyone has any experience with the jetpack plugin, but personally I prefer yoast. My point is someones site I am looking at has both Yoast SEO plugin and also Jetpack for wordpress, should I just remove the jetpack as it seems to be a very heavy loading plugin.

Finished On Page optimization and slipping in rankings
Just finished on page optimization for a client that was on page 2 for the keyword. Went from an on page score of D to an A. But we are still slipping down the rankings. We were towards to top of page 2 now we are towards the bottom. Is there a time that it takes to change or does the on page not really make a big impact?
