I'm trying to fix these 3 blocking CSS resources
- https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Audiowide
- https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway:300,400,700
- https://www.legendslimotn.com/code/css/style.css?ver=3.1
I tried this:
<link rel="preload" href="path/to/mystylesheet.css" as="style" onload="this.rel='stylesheet'"> <noscript><link rel="stylesheet" href="path/to/mystylesheet.css">noscript> <script> /*! loadCSS. [c]2017 Filament Group, Inc. MIT License */ (function(){ ... }()); /*! loadCSS rel=preload polyfill. [c]2017 Filament Group, Inc. MIT License */ (function(){ ... }()); </script> Adding this to the code improved the load speed results but it caused other page problems on the browers other than the Chrome browser.

Who is correct - please help!
I have a website with a lot of product pages - often thousands of pages. As each of these pages is for a specific lease car they are often only fractionally different from other pages. The urls are too long, the H1 is often too long and the Title is often too long for "SEO best practice". And they do create duplication issues according to MOZ. Some people tell me to change them to noindex/nofollow whilst others tell me to leave them as they are as best not to hide from google crawler. Any advice will be gratefully received. Thanks for listening.

.htaccess code
I've got a .htaccess file set up on a site to redirect specific old pages to specific new pages on a different site: eg Redirect 301 /oldpage.html https://www.newsite.co.uk/newpage.html Redirect 301 /oldpage2.html https://www.newsite.co.uk/folder/ I have two questions: 1. Is that all the file needs? Or does it need any "rewrite engine on" type code? 2. I would also like to include code to "mop up" any other URLs and redirect them to the root, so that /anyotherpage.html redirects to newsite.co.uk Is there a way to do this?

Has anyone seen direct improvement after April 23 by requesting reinclusion?
Using the open site explorer I have figured out that my former seo agency was buying name spam (mostly Asian sites)for my main keywords and did the same in a private network of blogs. I don't speak any eastern languages and seo Super Dude has left the planet. So... I don't really have much to report to the Google Webmaster folks. How much time - effort- cash do invest in removal requests vs, redo the whole darn site and hope for the best? All the best. Tom

Can anyone explain why and how these odd URLs could be working?
In our GWT and Google Analytics traffic reports, I often see some very oddly formed URLs. Here's an example http://www.ccisolutions.com/storefront/www.ccisolutions.com and here's another

http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category//www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/CEW.cat What strikes me about this particular URL is two things: It renders this page http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/on-disc-printing, but not with that URL, the URL stays http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category//www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/CEW.cat When I break this URL into pieces http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/CEW.cat
and www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/CEW.cat,
both redirect to: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/on-disc-printing This makes me wonder, is there something (a rule?) in the
backend (maybe the .htaccess file?)that was set up that says http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/CEW.cat
= www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/CEW.cat
(or maybe vice versa?), and as a result an odd URL for the page is being
written automatically? This scenario worked on every category page I checked. All had the same results. For example, I tried: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category//www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/AAA.cat
and it rendered the Live Sound category page, but without redirecting to the
user friendly URL. This URL stayed unchanged in the address bar When I broke it into pieces, like http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/AAA.cat
and www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/AAA.cat, both of these redirected to http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/sound-video-lighting-equipment-experts Have any of you ever encountered a problem like this? Any sugeestions as to what might be causing it and how to remedy the problem? It is definitely causing us a duplicate content headache. Thanks! Dana0 -
How can we get google to know we are a lifestyle magazine
hi, i have a website which is a lifestyle magazine www.in2town.co.uk before we had to build out site from scratch due to a major error from our hosting company we ranked number one for the word lifestyle magazine but since then we have always ranked number five. This week that has dropped to number seven and i would like to know, what do we need to do to let google know we are a lifestyle magazine. I am not sure what we need to do. i know we should have important keywords on the home page but i am not sure where to put these without making the site look silly. can anyone let me know if we should have an introduction and if so where shall we put this. we would really like to increase our page rank for lifestyle magazine but are struggling to know where to put text that will not make the site look silly. Also, can anyone let me know what other keywords we should be aiming for please; We are currently making major changes to our site to make it better.
