Get CSV from OSE
-
Having trouble getting csv from OSE via email. Anyone else? Solutions?
-
Thanks for the update Casey. Ironically, my inability to access OSE reports has been a reminder of how dependent I am on them. Perhaps to much so...
-
Good to hear. I've also had this problem.
-
We will be going back to the direct download option by the end of the week. If you need a report before then and didn't get your email, try submitting it again.
-
I've been having troubles as well. Sometimes it sends it, sometimes it doesn't. Hopefully we'll eventually be able to download them directly again.

Can anyone offer an example of a site or page that gets 100% or even close to that on Search Visibility?
I have a couple of sites that I manage that kill it in the SERPs and yet they get a low search visibility score from Moz Pro, I am talking 18%-19%, and another that ranks well has a search visibility score of 8.71%. I know there are factors that go into calculating the score, I am just curious if anyone is really up there.

Internal Links Data on OSE and poor ranking despite excellent metrics
Hi folks, I use OSE a lot for comparing where we stand against our competitors and I'm always surprised to see most of our competitors have loads more internal links than we do. For example, comparing 'www.kensyard.co.uk' with 'www.sterlingbuild.co.uk', we are better on every Root Domain Metric except for the Total Links metric and this is down to a much smaller number of internal links. They are ranking better than us in Google so I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the way our site is coded / structured that means Google and OSE are not picking up our internal link network properly? We have over nine times as many external root domains linking to our site than theirs, which is surely a far more valuable metric than internal links right? Or is there an issue with our internal link structure that is confusing Google and causing us to rank lower? Many thanks for any advice, Luke

Can anybody point me to an OSE tutorial blog on Competitive Analysis?
I came across a few blogs which got me started here on an SEOmoz Pro account and now I am working on building a competitive link analysis spreadsheet in Excel in order to identify how are competitors are beating us in Google rankings for specific keywords. One article I came across seemed to do exactly what I wanted, but the images are all broken and the downloads require a membership to some service I am not interested in: http://www.seerinteractive.com/blog/how-are-they-beating-you-quick-seo-analysis-tools-part-1/ Anybody have any resources like this they can share? Thank you.

OSE http or htps
Hello, Is OSE making any difference when crawling the web between http or https links? Will OSE show all links that point to my website regardless of them being http or https? Thank you Cornel Note: The Label for the search bar is http.

Why does the CSV report on OSE limit the number of links I can download to less than it should?
I run an inbound link report for the domain www.acornstairlifts.co.uk on OpenSiteExplorer.org using the following filters: Show: All Links from: only external Pages to: pages on this root domain Show links: ungrouped It says that there are around 30,678 links for that query. I then go to the advanced tab, and run a report using the same filters, but when I click download report I only get 2874. I've run this for the past 2 days and I get the same. Why?

OSE lists dead links
Going over the link profile of a competitor who gets 5x the traffic we do.... of course frustrated that the majority of their links are spam blogs (full of words but don't communicate anything) and forum profiles. Thanks Google for telling me what not to do, then rewarding my competitor for doing it shamelessly. Question regarding sites listed by Open Site Explorer as linking to said competitor, but that don't even load when I visit their url. Some go to a godaddy parked page, like the domain name expired long ago. Is this simply a limitation of OSE, and can I assume Google has indexed differently and therefore awarding no link juice from these urls?

SEOmoz Crawl CSV in Excel: already split by semicolon. Is this Excel's fault or SEOmoz's?
If for example a page title contains a ë the .csv created by the SEOmoz Crawl Test is already split into columns on that point, even though I haven't used Excel's text to columns yet. When I try to do the latter, Excel warns me that I'm overwriting non-empty cells, which of course is something I would rather not do since that would make me lose valuable data. My question is: is this something caused by opening the .csv in Excel, or earlier in the process when this .csv is created?
