On-Page Grader giving wrong results for missing keyword in image Alt Attribute
-
I'm trying to optimize for the Keyword "River City Apartments" on this page: https://3fconstruction.net/case-studies/river-city-apartments-chicago-condo-deconversion-renovation/
When I use On-Page Grader to see how I'm doing it's telling me I'm missing the Keyword in the Image Alt Attribute. However, it's clearly in there.
What am I missing?

Hi there!
Thanks for writing in and sorry about the trouble!
Sam from Moz's Help Team here! I took a look at your Site Crawl results and your site, and I believe this is a result of our crawler's inability to work with Javascript. Any client side loaded content will not be rendered to our crawler as we are only seeing what is rendered by your server.
Our crawler works by parsing the source code of your site, looking at HTML elements. If your site is primarily Javascript, then the data you get back with regards to the crawl report won't be completely accurate because of this. There's no real workaround that I can recommend for this one, since it is a technical limitation of our tools, but there are some good blog posts and discussions in the Q&A about this if you head over to our Help Hub.
While the tools and data that rely on our crawl of your site may not return the best results because of that Javascript, your keyword rankings and link profile should work just fine.
You might also want to check out a few tools that are compatible with Javascript, like Botify or Screaming Frog.
I'm really sorry I can't be of more help here; Please let me know if there's anything else I can help with, or if there are any follow-up questions you might have!

Keyword explorer and relevancy
Hello, In the keyword explorer when I group keywords by lexical similarity should I only choose keywords that have a high relevancy to my seed keyword (the one I typed and want to rank on ? Let me give you an example. Let's say my seed keyword (the one I want to rank on) is "Alsace bike tours. With the keyword explorer I group the keywords and find the group " cycling in Alsace" (ok I take that one because it relevant to "Alsace bike tours" then I find "Strasbourg to Colmar by bike" I also take this one because it is also relevant to "alsace bike tours" but what about concepts like "Alsace wine region", Alsatian architecture, wines of Alsace, cuisine of Alsace or prettiest villages in Alsace... should I totally dismiss those from my content because they aren't relevant to my keyword "Alsace bike tours" or is it ok to use them but it won't help me at all ? Thank you,

Comparing Competitor On-Page Grades?
When I run an advanced SERP report or even the basic keyword difficultly report it gives me competitor On-page grades. I can look directly at their code, but I'm wondering if there is a way to easily see and export a .csv or excel file of the on-page ranking factors for the top 1-10 results comparing them to a page on my site? Seems like that would be really helpful and much quicker than looking at source code to understand what on-page factors are contributing to their success. Is there any way to do this in Moz or a free tool elsewhere you would suggest?

Domain Authority vs Actual Results?
Hi. I know that MOZ's domain authority (DA) is an industry authority when it comes to evaluating the quality of a website. However, I've encountered something interesting in regards to a specific site: Digital Journal If you examine in through OSE you'd notice it has amazingly high DA - 83. But when you look at it through SEMRush you'd see that it is steadily dropping in rankings and accordingly traffic (lost 93% of traffic over the last year) which makes me believe that it got penalized. Shouldn't it be reflected on MOZ's analysis?

Is it a site I should worry that points to me? This is an addition...
I encountered also the following site: americanchronicle.com which has the DA of 61 (pretty high) and is actually down for a while now Thanks0 -
Keyword difficulty problems
I'm just running a keyword difficulty analysis and it seems to be stuck. The analysis report is just marked as pending with the arrows going round and round. I've tried ti in two browsers (firefox/chrome) just in case it was something local. Are there current problems?

How can the Moz Page Grader support a 'keyword portfolio' approach?
I used to use the Page Grader tools to support the old philosophy of one page - one keyword. With more focus now being given to a portfolio of keywords around a topic area - what would be a good approach to using the page grader tool? Obviously getting A's and B's is impossible for multiple keywords. The only way i've seen suggested in moz tools to help with keyword portfolios is to use labels in the ranking measurement and then find averages of the results. Are there other strategies that I can try?

CMS Image caching issue
Hi,
Moz Bar | | YelloMedia
We have been monitoring our clients website, the website has been created using Opencart and I believe has some kind of image cache running, which for some reason gets cleared regularly (Though we didn't create the site). Now our problem is the images are getting crawled and then being cleared from the cache, therefore causing 404 errors. Is there anyway to cure this issue? Regards Tom0 -
How does an index page have a higher Authority than the root domain?
So just curious, but on my domain, http://www.bulwarkpestcontrol.com the Page Authority is 59 and the root domain authority 52. That seems odd as it is the same page. Explanation?
