Mmmm....
first of all nice way to put anchor text optimized links while saying you are not able to make ranking your site in the first page of the SERPs for the same keywords... I remind you that links here are nofollowed.
Said that, apart from the on site factor Webfeatseo has wrote about, I would also suggest you to radically change the way you are using the blog:
- Why a post like this > Blogging: it's all about influencing the influencers, is in the blog of site like yours? It doesn't fit at all thematically;
- More over, that post is a not original one. You correctly reference the source, but to add a post bazillions others have is not useful, as your "version" will probably be flitered by the SERPs.
No... use the blog to really tell the daily stories, surely amazing, of the school and the children assisted by it. Use video, use photos, use their own drawnings... make the blog unique and use it as the central core of your inbound marketing activity, for instance sharing those stories via social media with your followers and those people may be interested in humanitarian cases. This could probably make your site stand respect all the other similar sites.
This, with the on site optimization which is needed (i.e.: review the title tag of the home page > School meal program in India for underprivileged children - Akshaya Patra India) and focussing on the real influencers targets, will surely help you scaling the rankings.

You should look into the seomoz page grader tool. You have several on page optimization errors and poor keyword targeting on page. The tool will give you a report with areas you need to fix and advice on how to do so

SEO Optimization for Sales Page
Hi, I am new to eCommerce. Traditionally I have run a couple of semi-successful websites relying largely on Adsense revenue and affiliate income. So I have a bit of experience with on page and off page SEO. This time around I am creating a membership site and also sell eBooks as bundles that non members can buy. My question is, should I SEO optimize the sales page for my eBook or use another content page that links to the sales page. For example, if I am selling an ebook on Dog Training and targeting the main KW "Dog Training Tips", should my sales page be optimized for "Dog Training Tips"? The reason I ask is because typically Sales pages do not provide a lot of useful information but are more geared around selling the product. The other option would be to create a helpful information page targeted for "Dog Training Tips" and lead users to my sales page through contextual links, banners, popups (I hate popups), etc. This would be the approach for the other LSI keywords anyways. Any thought would be appreciated.

Sub-pages have no pa
I took over a website a few months ago which is not performing well at all for chosen keywords. When I first inspected it, I found a rel canonical tag pointing to the homepage on every page. This was quickly deleted and all the pages were fetched in webmaster tools. 3 months later and the website is still performing badly. When I use the mozbar, it shows that all of the sub-pages have a pa of 1. It is only a small site and all of the pages are linked to on the navbar in a simple way. The links are not made using javascript and all the pages are on the sitemap which is submitted to wmt. I have checked that all of the changes that have been made have been indexed as well. Could it be possible that google still sees the canonical tag even though its not there? I can't think of any other reason why the pages have no pa or why it is so far behind the competitors despite having better content and links. Also, the site is appropriate for adults, but I found (among the mess left for me) a meta ratings tag set to "general". This has now been deleted, could it negatively affect rankings?

Re-naming pages without affecting SEO
Due to the management software used for a lot of our websites, the URLs for specific pages appears as: brand.com/page/pagename/number I want to add slug URLs so that they appear as: brand.com/pagename First of all, do you think this is an effective use of my time and will it significantly benefit SEO in the long run. Secondly, these pages have developed a decent PA over time and I don't want to lose that. Will adding 301s for all the renamed pages be enough to not have a negative effect?

References and SEO?
Hi Everyone, I am really new to the SEO world (having come from paid search), so if this is a stupid question, I apologize. I noticed in Webmaster Tools that the top 25 keywords or so that Google thinks my site is about are keywords pulled from our references pages. Our site has a ton of authoritative content, most of which have corresponding reference pages with overlapping sources. Is this a problem? I am a little concerned that the keywords Google thinks are the most relevant to my site are really the least relevant. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks! nina

A website has several wigets to show Each wiget with its own page The wigets mostly just vary in size How would you suggest titles be done? Example: Wiget 1ft Wiget 2ft Wiget 3 ft an so on........ Would this trigger a duplicate content issue given “Wiget” leads in the page title?
