Google Links Disavow - Does that preclude new links from a domain?
-
If using Google disavow links tool and you disavow links from a 'domain' does that mean that any 'future or new links' from that domain will be blocked?
Answer Yes is good if the domain is spammy but bad if the domain was submitted in error ........ Answer NO is good if the domain was submitted in error but bad if the site is spammy.
Does anyone have an answer to this please? Also is there a disavow 'undo' request process available?
cheers, Mike

Thank you Sanket, much appreciated

Marie, Many thanks indeed!

If you've used "domain:example.com" in your disavow.txt then this is going to disavow any present and future links from example.com.
If you had spammy links from that domain in the past, but you think you can get good quality links from the domain in the future then here's what you'd do:
1. Download your disavow.txt file from WMT
2. Remove the disavow:example.com line.
3. Disavow links individually so, add http://www.example.com/spammyarticle1.html, and http://www.example.com/spammyarticle2.html to your list
4. Resubmit the disavow to Google

Hi Mike
Yes by doing disavow links from a "domain" will block all future links from that particular domain.. That's why google gives a facility to block subdomain. Please visit below link : hope below link will helps you.

Q: I uploaded some good links. How can I undo uploading links by mistake?
A: To modify which links you would like to ignore, download the current file of disavowed links, change it to include only links you would like to ignore, and then re-upload the file. Please allow time for the new file to propagate through our crawling/indexing system, which can take several weeks.

Google Analytics Not Properly Attributing Goals
My GA has been working fine for years and is now suddenly attributing 100% of my goals/conversions to a "referral" source. In this case "crm.zoho.com". (see attached url) Our contact form is a zoho CRM form. When prospect fills it out online, it dumps them to a thank-you page and the conversion is counted. That all works just fine, but it is not attributing the conversion to Organic or PPC or Direct as it was a month or so ago. I'm not sure if this may be the cause, but I was cleaning up GA about a month ago, deleting some filters I didn't think I needed any more. Thank you for your help. 9CRUx

How to Detect Links within PDFs
Hi All, I have a funny situation that I would like some advice on handling... There are a handful of domains that were created several years ago in support of an offline to online campaign. These domains are simply vanity domains that use an IFrame at 100% to show the content of another page. Essentially, the content of the sites I manage are embedded into the frame on the vanity URL. Since I do not monitor or have access to any analytics for the vanity URLs, is there a way to tell how others are discovering those vanity URLs? As stated above, they were used on direct mail flyers two years ago and never appeared online. However, I still get a good deal of traffic from them and cannot believe people have hung onto those flyers in such volume. I have used Open Site Explorer for the vanity URLs, which show no links existing anywhere online. I am wondering if the vanity URLs may exist in pdf lists of local businesses that match my category, etc. Is there any way to tell how traffic finds those vanity URLs without analytics or discovered links through link profiling tools?

Google Analytics - Not provided info
Morning all, i am using Google analytics for some time now, One of the issues that i don't have a clear answer for is, when i am looking at Traffic Source --> overview In the Keyword column, that is a line (not provided) What we think here is that we cant see the keywords if someone arrived to our website but was logged-in to Google account Is this correct? is there a way to find the keywords behind this (not provided)? - i have many visits for this line (17.3% of all visits) and i don't know which keywords people used. Thank you SeoWise

Setting up Webmaster Tools correctly - naked domain DNS error and sub-domains question
I'm trying to get our domain (verdantly.com) set up correctly in Google Webmaster Tools. Currently, I have three "sites" setup: blog.verdantly.com (wordpress.com blog redirected to this subdomain) www.verdantly.com verdantly.com The subdomain blog and www show up without errors. However, the naked domain shows a DNS error. I've checked the DNS settings at the registrar and don't see any issues. So here are my questions: 1. Am I correct in setting up the naked domain AND the subdomains separately in Webmaster tools? 2. How do I track down / resolve the source of the DNS errors at the naked domain? Thanks!

An initial set up question - linking to GA
when viewing campaign it indicates there is a problem linking to our GA account but the details entered are correct. Any ideas what the problem might be - nothing on the campaign settings page gives me a clue. There is a highlighted box saying disconnect from GA but nothing else. The only thing i can think of is that the GA account was set up by a third party and we have access to view it - could it be a permissions problem?

Google analytics advanced segments
Ok, I need help with a simple (although, for some reason, I'm having trouble with it) advanced segment. Dilemma**:** All of our techs have a backend cookie that they use to log into our website. I want a way toexclude all visites where the landing page contained this in the url:/backend/cookie.php?username= Advanced Segment: We have a lot of techs and each one of them has a different "username=example". So how can I set up an advanced segment where it will exclude any visit where the visitor came in one a landing page containing /backend/cookie.php?username=
