Question on getting new site with poor URLs indexed
-
For the website www.misslovegirls.com , with URLs like http://www.misslovegirls.com/goods.php?id=3706 is there any chance of getting these URL's indexed?
Thanks!

Well, that URL is already indexed, so that answers that question!
But you're walking into a bit of a minefield in this one.
These URLs have also been indexed:
http://www.misslovegirls.com/goods.php?id=3704
http://www.misslovegirls.com/goods.php?id=3705You're going to have a big issue here with duplicate content. You're pretty much serving the exact same page multiple times (with the only difference being price/size/title, from what I can see, which isn't going to be enough of a difference).
My advice would be to make one product page per item (ideally with a descriptive URL, not just numbers) that includes the different sizes and colours within the page. Furthermore, you're going to need a lot more descriptive content per product to ensure that there is enough content on the page for Google to register it as unique.
Now in theory, there's nothing stopping you from indexing and ranking a URL with numbers/queries high up in Google. URLs in keywords in them are probably a bit more SEO and user experience friendly, though not absolutely essential.
I just think you have a bigger issue on your hands here - your product pages are currently too thin and will likely be seen as duplicate by Google. I imagine you will want to rank these pages, so adding "noindex, nofollow" to the pages won't solve the problem. You're only alternative, therefore, is to make sure that each product page is descriptive enough to be seen as unique (300-400 words as a very rough guideline) and that all variants of the product, such as size or colour, are not on separate URLs, but on the same page.

Hi Iv been asked iv to host a basic SEO training session for some employees who have never had any experience in SEO before. Obviously SEO covers so many things and it would be imposisble to run through everything in a single training session. I was curious as to what you guys think would be the best use of the time for the training session? Thanks in advance

Linking to Adsense heavy sites?
Hi SEOmoz community! Hopefully a pretty straight forward question here... Does anyone know if linking to "Adsense heavy" websites can have a negative impact on your rankings? Or a positive impact even? Thes sites in particular are owned by a business aquintance, so they come from a trusted source even though the sites themselves look quite "spammy". Also they all have pagerank of 1 or 2 and there's about 100 of the sites that we would link to. Does anyone have any thoughts? Regards, Ash 🙂
