Can Moz local correct listings with incorrect addresses/phone numbers that have no FB or G+ listing?
-
We just started using Moz Local for a law office client. The csv has the client's correct information. However, our client has listings out there with a completely incorrect address/city and alternate phone number. There wouldn't be a valid FB or G+ listing for this incorrect address to use for validation. Is there any way Moz Local can find these and correct them by matching name or website alone? The incorrect ones are not showing up in the list of duplicates.

Hi DragonSearch,
Oops! I'm sorry if I didn't explain that well. You would not create a Google+ Local or Facebook Local business page with an incorrect address. You'd want to create one with a correct address, that identically matches what you enter in the Moz Local CSV. This way, we can validate your information and then, once validation is complete, we can push you data out to our 7 supported partners, which are:
Infogroup
Acxiom
Nuestar/Localeze
Factual
Foursquare
Superpages
Best of the Web
Hope this helps!

Thanks for your response. So, I guess there's no way for Moz to fix listings out there with invalid addresses. Since we certainly wouldn't want to create G+ or FB listings with an incorrect address and Moz can't find the business unless the address matches the G+ or FB listings, then we can't claim and fix the incorrect listings through Moz's service.

Hi Dragonsearch,
Unfortunately, no. Moz Local has to be able to validate the business info you provide us with the business info we find either on the Google+ Local or Facebook local business page. If the pages can't be found or the name, address, phone and website on them don't identically match what you've entered in the Moz Local dashboard, we can't validate. You would need to access the Google+ Local or Facebook local business page, edit the data to match, see that your edits go live and then try to validate through our system.
Hope this clarifies how this works!

Unsolved Moz Local keeps deleting my suite number
Hi, I entered my address on my Moz Local profile but it keeps either (1) deleting my suite number, or (2) not syncing my suite number at all to any of the websites to which it's connected. I've tried putting the suite number in Address Line 1 with the address, and by itself in Address Line 2. I've also tried typing out Suite, Ste., STE, STE., etc. - nothing works and the suite number keeps getting deleted. Very frustrated, please help.

Moz Local: Does cancelling change information in business listings?
I was reading the FAQ on Moz Local and would like clarification about this question/answer: What happens to my listings on the sites in your network if I cancel my Moz Local subscription? Moz Local will simply report to the sites in our network that the listing is no longer under management by one of our customers. In this event, Acxiom and Neustar Localeze will revert your listings to their status prior to your Moz Local subscription. In some cases, your other listings will lose enhanced content like website URL, secondary category information, logos, and other images. Moz Local will not actively remove your listing from our network of sites. You will always have the ability to reclaim your listings manually on each site if you decide to cancel your Moz Local subscription. So let's say my business moved to another location. Then I signed up for a Moz Local subscription, updated my business address, and then did not renew. After I cancel the Moz Local subscription, will my business address in the Acxiom and Localeze listings revert to what it was before I changed it through Moz Local? Please let me know. Thanks!

MOZ Local not recognizing listing in ranking - score should be higher
Hello I have used MOZ local for a client in New York City. Since we set up MOZ Local for his practice MOZ keeps showing there is no Facebook page nor a hot frog listing. However both of these listings exist and are correct. Is there a way to show MOZ that these listings exist so the MOZ Rank can show the proper score/accuracy. He wonders why the score isn't higher but there isn't much I can do at the moment. Thanks!

Local Search and Moz Local Question
I'm using Moz Local for a few clients right now with good results. Was talking to a friend about using it for one of her web clients and a new scenario came up. The client does waste management and has a dozen locations in/outside of a metro area. She's been "trying to get their listing on Google Maps" without luck. After some probing, it turns out their main address for operations is in the metro area they are targeting, but they don't have waste facilities there and wanted to prevent customers from coming there. They actually use a PO Box for their contact information on their website and make no mention of the main address. Looking to see if anyone agrees with my proposed solution: Claim Google My Business listing for the main address in the metro area they're trying to optimize for. Use Moz Local to clean up their main listing (after a quick check, it's a mess) for the operations address. Update website contact info to include the main operations address, and make specific mention of which other addresses customers should/shouldn't go to for dumping/picking up equipment. So, the recommendation would be one Moz Local account. I figure no need to do listing for all of their other locations since they're just waste facilities controlled by the main listing. Does this seem like a plan?

Moz Local doesn't have Categories for my clients business
Moz Local doesn't have Categories for my clients business, for that matter neither does Google Business: Using the Moz category tool- and Superpages, where we have been listed for a long time, the following categories have no MOZ local or Google Equivalent. Millwright CRATES & CRATING INDUSTRIAL PACKING & CRATING CRANES, HOISTING, & RIGGING SERVICES MACHINERY MOVERS & ERECTORS EXPORT CONSULTANTS RIGGERS EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES this makes fitting into Local search very difficult at best. Since the Moving category is so crowded, and brings in 99 household moves to one legitimate industrial move or rigging jobs. So is it best just not to pay for Moz local? How do we get Moz Local and google to add these important industrial local categories?
