Why is this Page ranking so good?
-
This page has a high moz domain authority but compared to the other one abouve and bellow ranking for the keyword "audio pc" i dont see the factor why its ranking on #2 in germany in google serp.
http://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/cat-COMPUTER-PCMDESKTOP
what would you do if you would be on the places 1 or 2 or 3 bellow?

Ok, i made a mistake i should have not asked how the other can rank better.
So my only question is why is this page ranking good? They dont have links into this specific page, they have an extremly poor content, there is nothing what you would call nice user experience and they have only about 7 products to this page where 4 use the title "audio pc". They use this keyword in no other part and from the count of the other words its even kind of stuffed keyword here.
So why is this page ranking even in top 10? Its exactly what google does not like.
-
First, it's important to understand that it's increasingly impossible to get an objective ranking of a given page. Google aims to show the most relevant, personalized results for each individual person and query. What two people see in the SERPs will vary -- even if both are in Germany. One site might rank highly in personalized search just because of the company's Google+ activity. (If a person follows and/or "+1s" your site in Google+, then your site may be more likely to show up in personalized results for that person.) One site might rank more highly specifically for searches on mobile devices (for a variety of reasons). It's increasingly useless to state definitively that "website X ranks Y for keyword Z."
The best you can do is to use Moz's toolbar or other methods to insert URL parameters in search results that will estimate the SERPs for non-personalized search in a given location. (Moz has a guide here.)
Now, onto the question. It's impossible to know exactly why a site ranks as it does. With all due respect to Moz, I'd think less about quantitative metrics such as domain authority or (God forbid) keyword density and think more about what Google wants: the qualitative experience. Issues such:
- What is the user experience of each site?
- What is the page-load time?
- How is each site building an online and offline brand?
- What is the general consumer sentiment of the site (for e-commerce and business sites)?
All of these things can come into play in addition to just keywords, links, and all of that stuff.
what would you do if you would be on the places 1 or 2 or 3 bellow?
The same thing that so-called "SEOs" should always do:
1. Build the best site on the topic in the context of technical SEO, user experience, usability, and satisfying the intent behind the search queries for which you want to rank.
2. Publish the best original, authoritative content on your topic.
3. Use social media and PR to promote the website/business as a whole and your content specifically. Build a brand!
4. Repeat steps two and three indefinitely. See increasing rankings, traffic, (earned) links, sales, and more over time.
This is the long-term, best way to approach "SEO." Don't ask: "How can I rank #1 for this keyword?" Ask yourself: "Why should I rank #1 for this keyword?"

Competitors ranking in top three with worse SEO
Ok I am at a loss. Our client is trying to rank for keywords like "dental assistant programs utah", but they are still on the bottom of page 1/top of page 2. The guys in the top 3 have terrible SEO. No links, newer domains, etc. I looked into it extensively and learned about the "honeymoon period" people talk about but we are long past that. I've looked through webmaster tools to see if there are any issues, and I can't find a thing. Anyone have an idea of what we could be doing wrong that is making us be put down so far on the page? Before I got here the SEO guys were doing older tactics which I think was starting to hurt them with penguin and what not so I tried my best to delete the crap content and clean everything up on the website. thanks for all your help! I really appreciate it.

What To Focus On SEO / Link Building for this campaign to rank again..
Hi All; I recently joined Moz and I am really starting to learn a lot here. I am still finding it difficult to figure out what to focus on the most to improve my rankings (although I do have some page 1 ranks) I have one strong competitor who has a SOLID spot in the top 5 of google for the past few years for the keyword I would like to be ranked for again. (as they have always been a competitor of mine either 1 spot above or 1 spot below). then i fell off google in January and finally made it back to page 1. But their links are thousands higher than mine. What parts of my SEO Link Building should I focus on the MOST to improve my ranking to move up a few spots? Followed links vs No Followed Links Followed Linking Root Domains vs NoFollowed Linking Root Domain Any help would so greatly be appreciated; also please explain why you would focus on that part of my campaign so I can better understand as well. Thanks again

Continuous drop in Rankings on Google.uk
I have a Website who was ranked top 6 for most competitive keywords on Google.co.uk but suddenly dropped to page 2 after 21st January 2013 and later back to top 10 position and now dropped to pages 2 to 5, for most terms. I initially thought it was the transition rank causing this fluctuations. The strange thing is, i haven't done anything wrong in terms of back linking efforts. My site is content rich and offers real value to users also, the website PR increased from 3 to 4 recently, my site seomoz rank, PA, DA and Moz trust is higher than top ranked websites above mine. Please any suggestions?? Kindly help.....

How to check Google Keyword rankings?
Hey, So I recently watched the DuckDuckGo commercial about Google's results bubble. My question is how can you get the actual keyword rankings of relevant key phrases without Google taking your locations and search history into account? Would it just be a case of clearing your cache & history from the beginning of time or is there an accurate tool (other than SEOmoz ofc that I can use? Best regards, Dan

Competitor Ranking High has 2 Domains, But Duplicate Website ?
I was using OSE and noticed all the backlinks to one of our competitors is there other domain name, which is the EXACT SAME website. You can enter both url's and they display the same content. They are not useing any canonical tags either. Why are they not penalized for duplicate content? And for using there own website for backlinks ? We try to do everything right, but still cannot beat them. Any thoughts on this?
