Duplicate page content
-
The MOZ crawler identifies pages as duplicate content which are not the same.
The pages http://www.aignerart.com/abstracts-oil-painting/cicli-colora.html and http://www.aignerart.com/abstracts-oil-painting/murs-de-la-ville.html are marked duplicate but they are different paintings. Any ideas? -
Thanks for your quick responses. I agree we should differentiate the product pages more

duplicate content can't hurt you in the traditional penalty form. However, it can prevent pages from ranking because Google will only display one page when there are two that look the same. Here is a video from Matt Cutts at Google on how exactly they handle duplicate content.

I think SEOs get used to seeing duplicate content issues caused by the same page having various URLs (parameters, www, filters, slashes, etc), so it almost catches us off guard when we see pages flagged for having the same copy (real / true duplicate content!). At one point, I believe Matt Cutts shared that internal dup content will not hurt your site, but I would work to update all pages to have unique copy. It looks like all of your product pages have the same boilerplate copy, so this may be a big undertaking but it'll be worth it both from an SEO & UX perspective - as you add more descriptive copy, these pages may begin to rank for new queries not previously captured & you'll be providing more value to the visitor.
Side note - I clicked around on a few pages & when I land on a product detail page, 4 gray boxes pop up (one saying Site Map). Something funky going on there.
Hope this helps!

Hi there,
The copy is exactly the same - bar the product name - on both pages. Although it's a pain, it's better to have completely unique copy on each product page.
Hope this helps,
Lewis

Crawl report shows that it gets 4xx errors for pages that work fine. Why?
On the crawl report it has all these "Critical Crawler Issues". They all say "4xx Error", yet when i click on the link from the crawler report, it goes to a perfectly functioning page, not a 404 page or anything. If i click in it actually says it's a 403 error. It's all for pages generated by the IDX solution for our real estate website. Is Moz broken or am i missing something? Here are a couple examples: <dl class="crawl-page-details-list"> <dd class="crawl-page-details-list-emphasis">https://teamvivi.com/homes-for-sale-map-search/</dd> <dd class="crawl-page-details-list-emphasis"> <dl class="crawl-page-details-list"> <dd class="crawl-page-details-list-emphasis">https://teamvivi.com/email-alerts/</dd> </dl> </dd> </dl>

I keep getting a 429 Too Many Request error for a wp-login page on my website. Is there a way to prevent that from happening, or fix outside of redirecting on the back end of WordPress?
I have a client that keeps coming up with 429 Too Many Request critical crawl errors. I re-directed some of them on the back end of WordPress, but additional keep coming in. The URL has a WP-Login and directs to back end login section. Is there a reason that would come up as an error, how can I prevent it from happening again, and how can I fix the remaining current errors outside of redirecting back to /? Thanks, Kalyn Lengieza

Getting 'Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible' error msg when trying to run On-Page Grader
I just signed up for MOZ Pro for the first time today. Tried to run the 'on-page grader' tool on some of my pages but I'm getting a 'Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible' error msg. I have verified against the robot.txt file that the pages are NOT blocking any crawlers. Can anybody help?

When Moz provides an on-page grade report card, what tells Moz which keyword to grade for?
I just started working with the on-page grader and of couse am particularly interested in fixing my pages with not so stellar grades. Can someone tell me how SEO Moz decides what keyword to grade a page for? I receive a report each week that tells me how many pages I have with A's, B's etc. But what tells Moz to grade a page for a particular keyword? Is it the first keyword listed in the meta description?

On-Page Grader Levels
I see that On-Page Grader reports include a numerical number such as the following: Keyword Usage for audio book gift certificates = 15 I improved this page (http://www.audiobooksonline.com/audio-book-audiobook-gift-certificates.html) from 3 to 15 today. What is the maximum "grade" possible?
