Crawl issues, how to see a referring link?
-
Hi There,
We've got two crawl issues for pages that don't exist (and never existed). The links are strange and judging by the code in them, appear to be coming from our own CMS.
How can we see which pages the links are on in Moz?
Cheers
Ben

Hey there Ben!
Sam from Moz's Help Team here!
We'd love to help you to further investigate this - would you be able to pop a message over to help@moz.com, along with the name of the affected campaign and a few examples of the problems that you're seeing? This way we can take a look directly at your site and the CSV results and help you to isolate what's happening here:)
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks for the reply.
The table doesn't show the referring URL for me but your answer prompted me to click the table row and I can now see the referring URL on the next page.
However, I've copied the source for the offending page into a text editor and searched for the broken link but it doesn't exist on the referring page which is weird - right?
Cheers
Ben

The only crawl errors you require to know the referring URLs is the 4xx errors. I know for the 4xx errors the table shows the 404 page and the referring URL.

Moz unable to crawl my Zenfolio website
Hey guys, I am attempting to optimize a website for my wife's business but Moz is unable to crawl it. Zenfolio is the web hosting service (she is a photographer). The error message is: **Moz was unable to crawl your site on Apr 1, 2019. **Our crawler was not able to access the robots.txt file on your site. This often occurs because of a server error from the robots.txt. Although this may have been caused by a temporary outage, we recommend making sure your robots.txt file is accessible and that your network and server are working correctly. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster. Read our troubleshooting guide. I did read the troubleshooting guide but nothing worked. My robots.txt file disallows a few bots, but not roger bot. Anyone have any idea what is going on? Or do I need to request server logs from Zenfolio? Thanks

Moz Not Crawling Angular SPA
I have a client that just launched a redesigned website using Angular as a single page app. Google appears to be able to crawl the site just fine, but Moz crawl is only finding one page. We have updated the htaccess to allow for Rogerbot and Dotbot, but still unable to crawl any pages other than the home page. Does anyone have experience with this or ideas of why it won't crawl all pages, and how to allow for Moz to crawl all pages? There is a sitemap with approx. 390 pages. Thanks!

Anything i can add to robots.txt to make moz able to do the crawl report but still hinder google from crawling a staging domain?

How do you "Moz Crawl" a website? Newbie...
Hi everyone; I've used Screaming Frog in the past and it's simple: you enter the URL to the box and click "start" and.. voila: as the button says, the crawling starts. I've had the Pro version of Moz for a while now and haven't really 'done' anything with it. I'd like to crawl a website and thought it would be as easy as it's always been with Screaming Frog... but, for some reason, I can't find the 'way' to do it. I find it really frustrating especially cause I feel like an idiot going around in circles thinking I'm missing something really obvious... Until I realised the only solution was to ask here! So... how in the world do you crawl a website using Moz tools? (Pro version) Thanks!
