Expired Content for Annual Events - Advice Please?
-
Hi,
I've started working with a client that provides VIP packages for various sporting events. They have a number of landing pages for these specific events that happen every year.
What's the best way to go about maintaining traffic and optimising these pages going forward?
I looked to see how some of their competitors are handling this and they seem to create a new landing page for the following year and simply add a '301 Permanent Redirect' to the old (expired event) so it points to the next one.
Is this the best approach or is there a better way to handle this?
Alternatively, would it be OK to simply change the dates on the existing page to the following years dates (when available) or simply add a 'Dates TBC' with some basic information.
Help/advice would be appreciated

How to fix thin content issue?
Hello! I've checked my website via Moz and received "thin content" issue: "Your page is considered to have "thin content" if it has less than 50 words" But I definitely know that we have 5 text blocks with unique content, each block consist of more than 50 words. Do you have any ideas what may cause this issue? Thanks in advance, Yana

What to do with blog content that is no longer relevant to our business
We are a marketing agency and we have LOTS of blog posts still on our website from when we used to specialize in e-commerce services. We've since shifted There are a lot of old and frankly irrelevant blog posts on our website. My questions: Should we remove these from the website so better "shape" our content profile towards the services we actually offer? Should we attempt to update them so they are still relevant even though we don't offer those services? If we get rid of those pages, what should we redirect them to? The main blog page?

Duplicate Page Content
Hi, I am new to the MOZ Pro community. I got the below message for many of my pages. We have a video site so all content in the page except the video link would be different. How can i handle such pages. Can we place adsense AD's on these pages? Duplicate Page Content Code and content on this page looks similar or identical to code and content on other pages on your site. Search engines may not know which pages are best to include in their index and rankings. Common fixes for this issue include 301 redirects, using the rel=canonical tag, and using the Parameter handling tool in Google Webmaster Central. For more information on duplicate content, visit http://moz.com/learn/seo/duplicate-content. Please help me to know how to handle this.. Regards

Duplicate content because of content scrapping - please help
We manage brands websites in a very competitive industry that have thousands of affiliate links We see that more and more websites (mainly affiliates websites) are scrapping our brand websites content and it generate many duplicate content (but most of them link to us back with an affiliate link). Our brand websites still rank for any sentence in brackets you search in Google, Will this duplicate content hurt our brand websites ? If yes, should we take some preventive actions ? We are not able to add ongoing UGC or additional text to all our duplicate content and trying to stop those websites of stealing our content is like playing cat and mouse... Thanks for your advices

Duplicate Title & Content in WordPress
I'm getting a lot of Crawl Errors due to duplicate content and duplicate title because of category and tag posts in WordPress. I rebuilt the sitemap and said to exclude category and tags, should that clear up the issue? I've also went through and did NO INDEX and NO FOLLOW for all categories and posts. Any thoughts on this issue?
