Sitelink Disappeared from SERPs
-
Hi everyone,
Something weird has happened to one of our client's site.
First of all I want to explain that the client's name is something like a Person Name plus another generic keyword, for example Truxy Lawyers.
Before when you searched for the brand keyword (in my example Truxy), Google would show in the SERPs the client's site as first result with six sitelinks below.
Now when searching for the same branded keyword (for example Truxy), Google doesn't show the sitelink anymore, but the first result is the home page and the second and third results are subdomain pages. Does anybody know why Google all of the sudden decided to stop showing the site link?
Things get more weird when you search the complete brand name "Truxy Lawers" for example, because in this case Google shows the site link.
Does anybody know what has caused this?
Thank you!

What I call a RollBack is when Google goes back in the Past in terms of ranking. It happens sometimes when they run a new Algorithm or changes. They show older results in some datacenters while updated in others.

Thank you Cypra for your answer.
What is a rollback exactly?
I don't think the domain has been penalized because Google displays the sitelinks for if you search "Truxy lawyers" and I also looked at GA traffic and it's stable.
The site links have been there since Google introduced the new way of displaying the SERPs.

Hi,
There is several possible reasons for that to happen, I'm actually thinking of 4 possibilities :
1- Maybe Google did a rollback in the past due to Algo updates or the SOPA protest. In which case, it should be back within a few days to 1-2 weeks.
2- A Penalty on domain level. Did you see a huge drop in traffic in Analytics ?
3- Google decided it wasn't creating any value so he remove all the link at once, which would be weird all at once.
4- Change in the URL structures on the site which you probably would be aware.
Did you have those sitelinks for a long time ?
Sometimes these types of changes are from Google testing and implementing of new stuff. Google seems to be doing a lot this month with the Google Plus your World they put in place on January 10th, they did also played with Crawler Bots speed for the SOPA Blackout this week, I would on first tought without seeing anything, tell they probably Roll Back a bit, so this should fix itself alone.
By the way SOPA is evil !

Google SERPs changes
Hi I wonder if anyone knew of any changes to the Google SERPs appearance in August 2015? We dropped in over a thousand visits to the homepage on brand so I wanted to find out why. Also, our DA went from 36 to 34 - does Google panda affect domain authority at all? Thank you

Any important change in SERPs between Nov 17th and Nov 20th?
I've noticed important changes in visibility for some websites, between Nov 17th and Nov 20th. Also some of the webs that monitor SERPs have detected similar stuff (Including Mozcast). Do you know if an important change in SERPs took place during those days?

I can't understand why I am not rank one on SERPS
Hi Guys, I really cannot understand why I am no longer rank 1 on SERPs? My link data shows great weight in comparison to competitors, my on page SEO is good, nice and diverse on the alt text. I know there are a lot of factors that effect SERPs but I believe I have done well but am still not ranking? Have I missed something?

Puzzled by recent SERP results - what ranking factors cause this?
Hi mozzers, I have been using moz tools for a long while now for assessing SEO metrics with great success, but since recent Google algorithm updates I am seeing more and more SERPS that just simply don't make sense to me what so ever. The most startling recently was an assessment of one of the keywords my own site competes for "Link Building Services" The current No 1 position in Google.co.uk is held by http://www.napalit.org/ I invite all you seo experts out there to take a look at this site, look at it metrics in OSE compared with the "lower" competition and explain to me why it is No1. I would really like to know what ranking factors this site has that makes it "higher quality" and offer "better value" than the competition. I thought I understood what Google was trying to do with recent updates - get rid of non-value adding spammers and improve the quality of the search results. But now I am becoming more sceptical. Are they just making it impossible for us to make a difference by following good SEO practices so we all resort to paying for Adwords? I hope you guys out there can help me with this one and restore my faith. Thanks

How Do I Make My Google SERP "SiteLinks" more relevant?
I have a shopping website with thousands of products, and the sitelinks that google has chosen for me (for a long time) are random product pages, which makes no sense to me. I do not emphasize those products on the home page, and I have a sitemap that clearly lists the directory of all the categories. I also added a "nofollow" attribute to almost every link on the home page that is not important. These products in the site links seem completely random and there isnt even a sitelink for "about" or any of the footer content! What gives? Also, my sitelinks never updated to the new, better version. Any suggestions?
