what is the best place to go to create a xml sitemap? I have used xml-sitemap.com but it only does 500 pages. Any suggestions?

If your website is dynamic (database driven) then you can generate the sitemap using programming language. This way you are always up to date - whenever you add new page it's automatically added to the sitemap - no need to run external application every time that happens.

But for the purposes of planning a site, a visual site map can be very helpful. By drawing even a simple sketch of your site and the sections you would like to have on it, you can be sure that you capture everything about your website that you need to be sucessful.
