As I said, you can add reference to your sitemaps in the robots.txt file:

At the end of the file http://www.thesalebox.com/robots.txt add the following lines:

              sitemap: http://www.thesalebox.com/AppliancesHomeEntertainment.xml
              sitemap: http://www.thesalebox.com/Hardware.xml

Hi, I have seen a situation before where GWT says that no images are indexed but they have indexed them. I don't know why.

Checking Google directly, by searching site:thesalebox.com and then clicking the Image tab shows that Google do have images indexed on your site, maybe not all, but there are some so maybe more are being indexed:

                https://www.google.com/search?q=site:thesalebox.com&safe=off&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=pPpgUoHvBoHJ0AWQnYGgDw&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=955&dpr=1

                    Hi Sorina,

Thanks for the focus on google webmaster policy about image indexing with sub domain.

=> I have already verified my Sub domain http://pics.thesalebox.com in to Google Webmaster Tool.

=> Also, I have already added sitemap in to this account.

Please check following links for more informations,
                    http://pics.thesalebox.com/ShopByDepartment.xml
                    http://pics.thesalebox.com/SportingGoods.xml

=> I have also verified current robots.txt to block this path, but there is no problem.

                    http://pics.thesalebox.com/robots.txt

Is there other way still i missing to work on it. please suggest me.

                    Thanks,

Here is a quote from Google's Webmasters Help:

In some cases, the image URL may not be on the same domain as your main site. This is fine, as long as both domains are verified in Webmaster Tools. If, for example, you use a content delivery network (CDN) to host your images, make sure that the hosting site is verified in Webmaster Tools OR that you submit your Sitemap using robots.txt. In addition, make sure that your robots.txt file doesn’t disallow the crawling of any content you want indexed.

                      Source: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/178636

According to the above, now that you have also verified the subdomain where you are hosting your images you should be fine.

You don't have to submit the sitemap to the GWT account of the subdomain where you host your images, but you may add reference to your sitemaps in the robots.txt located in the root folder of your website, by adding something like this to the robots.txt file:

                      sitemap: http://www.thesalebox.com/AppliancesHomeEntertainment.xml
                      sitemap: http://www.thesalebox.com/Hardware.xml

                        Hi Will2112,

Thanks for focus on robots.txt, I have double check that all things that block by robots or not, but it's seems look perfect,

                        is there another suggestions?

                        Thanks!

Yes, I have submitted http://pics.thesalebox.com into google WMT and verified and submitted same sitemap.

Now can you please look in to more in this issue??

Yes, if your images are on a CDN server you must add to GWT that subdomain too  in order to be able to see if the images are indexed by Google or not.

If my images are hosted on a CDN server, would I need to add that subdomain to Webmaster Tools as well?

I have a site with lots of images and I can confirm that image indexing takes much longer than the regular webpages to be indexed.   I see that your robots.txt has a lot of Disallows on it.  Is it possible that you are blocking indexing of those images from the robots.txt?

Hi, from experience it can take Google quite a time to index images on a site and if this is the first time you have submitted a sitemap that is probably going to be a factor as well.

Just one thing though with the images on your site. The ecommerce CMS system you are using is not helping interest by search engines in the images because the images don't have a descriptive title. This is one I found on the home page: http://pics.thesalebox.com/catalog/product/cache/1/small_image/175x175/f33bcb0b82304f8755dbcdf9b59ce0e0/1/0/100706555.jpg - the image is named: 100706555.jpg which although you have used alt tags on your images the non-descriptive image name doesn't help. Neither does the depth of your URLs - the image is located 10 folders down.

                                  I hope that helps,
                                  Peter

noindex google search engine results seo expert

Hello everyone, I recently started a new wordpress website and created a static homepage. I noticed that on Google search results, there are two different URLs landing on same content page. I've attached an image to explain what I saw. Should I "no-index" the page url? Google url.JPG In this picture, the first result is the homepage and I try to rank for that page. The last result is landing on same content with different URL. So, should I no-index last result as shown in image?

Google has deindexed a page it thinks is set to 'noindex', but is in fact still set to 'index'

A page on our WordPress powered website has had an error message thrown up in GSC to say it is included in the sitemap but set to 'noindex'. The page has also been removed from Google's search results. Page is https://www.onlinemortgageadvisor.co.uk/bad-credit-mortgages/how-to-get-a-mortgage-with-bad-credit/ Looking at the page code, plus using Screaming Frog and Ahrefs crawlers, the page is very clearly still set to 'index'. The SEO plugin we use has not been changed to 'noindex' the page. I have asked for it to be reindexed via GSC but I'm concerned why Google thinks this page was asked to be noindexed. Can anyone help with this one? Has anyone seen this before, been hit with this recently, got any advice...?

Not all images indexed in Google

Hi all, Recently, got an unusual issue with images in Google index. We have more than 1,500 images in our sitemap, but according to Search Console only 273 of those are indexed. If I check Google image search directly, I find more images in index, but still not all of them. For example this post has 28 images and only 17 are indexed in Google image. This is happening to other posts as well. Checked all possible reasons (missing alt, image as background, file size, fetch and render in Search Console), but none of these are relevant in our case. So, everything looks fine, but not all images are in index. Any ideas on this issue? Your feedback is much appreciated, thanks

Desktop & Mobile XML Sitemap Submitted But Only Desktop Sitemap Indexed On Google Search Console

Hi! The Problem We have submitted to GSC a sitemap index. Within that index there are 4 XML Sitemaps. Including one for the desktop site and one for the mobile site. The desktop sitemap has 3300 URLs, of which Google has indexed (according to GSC) 3,000 (approx). The mobile sitemap has 1,000 URLs of which Google has indexed 74 of them. The pages are crawlable, the site structure is logical. And performing a Landing Page URL search (showing only Google/Organic source/medium) on Google Analytics I can see that hundreds of those mobile URLs are being landed on. A search on mobile for a longtail keyword from a (randomly selected) page shows a result in the SERPs for the mobile page that judging by GSC has not been indexed. Could this be because we have recently added rel=alternate tags on our desktop pages (and of course corresponding canonical ones on mobile). Would Google then 'not index' rel=alternate page versions? Thanks for any input on this one. PmHmG

Are images stored in Amazon S3 buckets indexable to your domain?

We're storing all our images in S3 bucket, common practice, but we want to get these images to drive traffic back to our site -- and credit for that traffic. We've configured the URLs to be s3.owler.com/<image_name>/<image_id>. I've not seen any of these images show in our web master tools. I am wondering if we're actually not going to get the credit for these images because technically they do sit on another domain. </image_id></image_name>

Site indexed by Google, but (almost) never gets impressions

Hi there, I have a question that I wasn't able to give it a reasonable answer yet, so I'm going to trust on all of you. Basically a site has all its pages indexed by Google (I verified with site:sitename.com) and it also has great and unique content. All on-page grades are A with absolutely no negative factors at all. However its pages do not get impressions almost at all. Of course I didn't expect it to be on page 1 since it has been launched on Dec, 1st, but it looks like Google is ignoring (or giving it bad scores) for some reason. Only things that can contribute to that could be: domain privacy on the domain, redirect from the www to the subdomain we use (we did this because it will be a multi-language site, so we'll assign to each country a subdomain), recency (it has been put online on Dec 1st and the domain is just a couple of months old). Or maybe because we blocked crawlers for a few days before the launch? Exactly a few days before Dec 1st. What do you think? What could be the reason for that? Thanks guys!

Will Google Recrawl an Indexed URL Which is No Longer Internally Linked?

We accidentally introduced Google to our incomplete site. The end result: thousands of pages indexed which return nothing but a "Sorry, no results" page. I know there are many ways to go about this, but the sheer number of pages makes it frustrating. Ideally, in the interim, I'd love to 404 the offending pages and allow Google to recrawl them, realize they're dead, and begin removing them from the index. Unfortunately, we've removed the initial internal links that lead to this premature indexation from our site. So my question is, will Google revisit these pages based on their own records (as in, this page is indexed, let's go check it out again!), or will they only revisit them by following along a current site structure? We are signed up with WMT if that helps.

How to remove a sub domain from Google Index!

Hello, I have a website having many subdomains having same copy of content i think its harming my SEO for that site since abc and xyz sub domains do have same contents. Thus i require to know i have already deleted required subdomain DNS RECORDS now how to have those pages removed from Google index as  well ? The DNS Records no more exists for those subdomains already.
