Seeing lots of 0 seconds session duration from AdWords clicks

Another cause which is specially common in display networks -not too much in adwords- is that some of the pages which are serving your ads are showing your site with popunder scripts. This allows the site to create the affiliation cookie without the user noticing it.
In your case, if it is based only in 17 visits can only be the natural reason: people are not interested in your content for that keyword and leave too soon, as Ryan says.

Like Mike requests, being able to view the landing page plus keyword combination is pretty key to discovering the low session duration. Knowing what the ad copy is would help as well. Currently though you're dealing with way too small of a sample size of 14 users. Something like 140 users would be more indicative of trends, while 1400 users would be even better.
Aside from the low sample size, the basic reason low time on site happens is because people are expecting something different than what they're getting from a site so they leave rather quickly. Specific reasons it could be happening: slow loading pages, poor design, poor matching keyword or ad copy to landing page content, poor user to content match, accidental clicks, etc. Cheers!

Hello,
Could you share the landing page? & the main keyword?
Thanks,

I would classify myself as an intermediate at this point with a good foundational understanding, but far short of comprehensive. AdWords quality score of landing pages and subdomains popularity
Hello, I have an AdWords account whose landing pages point to (i.e.) http://www.domain.com/landing01.php I've been using this account for ages, it has a good score and history, so I want to keep it. The first question is: may I use landing pages on different subdomains within the same AdWords account (and in the same root domain)? I.E. (http://cheese.domain.com/landing01.php and http://wine.domain.com/landing02.php) 2nd question: the www subdomain has good subdomain metrics (authority /trust and, generally, links) while the "cheese" subdomain has not (no backlinks at all). Do I get any benefit in Adwords (like quality score or other) if I publish my landing pages under a subdomain with better subdomain metrics (or number of links)? Or should I just go with http://cheese.domain.com even it has no authority at all? Thank you, DoMiSoL Rossini

Adding nyc to a keyword in Google Adwords
Hello. If I have a keyword in Google Adwords that is using phrase match ("keyword"), could it be useful to add the keyword phrase "keyword nyc"? Even if I did not add the second keyword phrase, my ad would be triggered if someone searched for "keyword nyc." So would it be redundant to add the second keyword phrase? Thank you!

How to set up Adwords Account for Keyword Research
Hello, At the advice of some knowledgable people around here, we are setting up a $200-$300 Adwords campaign to determine keyword research. Our site is already doing well but we want to make sure we are targeting all the appropriate terms. What do we need to keep in mind in setting up this campaign. I assume we would do some broad match terms with a bunch of negative matching. Thanks!
