Why Only Our Homepage Can Be Crawled Showing a Redirect Message as the Meta Title
-
Hello Everyone,
So recently when we checked our domain using a Moz Crawl Test and Screaming Frog only the homepage comes up and the meta title says “You are being redirected to…”. We have several pages that used to come up and when submitting them to GSC no issues come up. The robots.txt file looks fine as well.
We thought this might be ‘server’ related but it’s a little out of our field of expertise so we thought we would find out if anyone has any experience with this (ideas of reasons, how to check…etc.) or any potential suggestions.
Any extra insight would be really appreciated.
Please let us know if there is anything we could provide further details for that might.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you!
Thanks in advance.

Hello Kris,
Thank you very much for your help. We’ll contact the host to see if they could help. Is there any way to check if it’s the CMS and database structure or is that also something for the hosting company?
Also, we checked and there was an issue with the sitemap.xml. Could that have been a potential cause? - More just curious.
Please let us know if there are details we could provide that might help.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks again.

1- This may be accredited to your CMS and the database structure it relies on to function.
2- Ask your website host for support regarding this issue. Some issues like this are server level and cannot be corrected at the client level.
3- I would look into webmaster tools to make sure the sitemap is submitted properly and redirects are at a minimum. Also, conduct a few fetch as googlebot tactics.

Hi Ben,
Would you mind sharing the URL for the site?
Thanks,
Sal

Could my Crawl Error Report be wrong?
HI there, I am using Yoast SEO plugin on a wordpress website. I am currently showing 70 Med priority crawl errors 'missing meta description' on my Moz pro account. This number of missing meta descriptions has increased over the last 6 weeks. But every single page / post / tag / category has both the title and meta description completed via Yoast. I requested a google bot to crawl the site a few weeks ago as thought it perhaps wasn't been crawled and updated. Any idea what the issue might be? Could the Moz report be incorrect for some reason? Or could something be blocking Moz / Google from seeing the Yoast plugin?

Crawl test from tools
Hi, I notice that the crawl test which is from the Research Tools doesn't really get a new crawl even though there is 2 crawl per day. It will only provide the data which was acquire from the crawl diagnostics in my pro account. There is no point for me to get the data which I get from my crawl diagnostic isn't it? Even seomoz provided with more than 2 crawl per day also useless in this case. This whole thing doesn't make sense as the crawl diagnostics will only perform a full crawl test once every week. but even the crawl test also not helping any thing out for me.

When I did my first crawl, I was given some errors.
Do I then need to re-crawl to make sure the errors were fixed accordingly?

How effective is Crawl DIagnostics in determining crawlibility?
Is Seomoz crawl diagnostics useful for determining what pages Google has a hard time indexing. One of the problems with my site is that it uses JS and Flash and I know Google isnt too keen on that. Can Crawl Diagnostics accurately tell me if there is too much of something and therefore Google is having a hard time crawling? I want to be able to know if JS or Flash is hurting any of my pages in any way. I provide good content and I want to make sure Google can pick it up.....Is this too much to ask? Is there anything out there for this?

How to delete/redirect duplicate content
Hello, Our site thewealthymind(dot)com has a lot of duplicate content. How do you clear up duplicate content when there's a lot of it. The owners redid the site several times and didn't update the URLs. Thank you.

Seomoz crawling filtered pages
Hi, I just checked an seo campaign we started last week, so I opened seomoz to see the crawl diagnostics. Lot's of duplicate content & duplicate titles showing up, but that's because Rogerbot is crawling all of the filtered pages as well. How do I exclude these pages from being crawled? /product/brand-x/3969?order=brand&sortorder=ASC

Hyphens in Page Titles?
We are using a combination of keywords using our brand name. So the keyword is structure as: brand name - word (separated by a hyphen) When I run a report on the page for the keywords that have the above format, the report tells me that I need to use the keyword in the title of the page. Is it okay to have hyphens in Page Titles? I assume not, but I want to double check. Thanks, Alex
