Source page showsI have 2 h1 tags on my page. I can only find one.
-
When I grade my page it says I have more than one h1 tag. I view the source page and it shows there are two h1 headings with the same wording. If I delete the one h1 heading I can find, the page source shows I have deleted both of them. I don't know how to get to the other heading to delete it. And I'm off page one of google!
Can anybody help?

That's a question for your website or theme developer Clay. I don't think anyone here can answer with so little information and no access to your website.
-
I actually have a duplicate home page in my source page. That's why I have two h1 tags How can I delete one of them.
-
Before you do that, take a look at the source code of your site now to see if you can find an h1 entry title. It might save you unnecessary rework.
-
I don't have Word Press, but I have options of different themes. I'll try to change themes, maybe that might work.
Thanks for your help
-
If you're using Wordpress, there might be an H1 entry title that's causing the duplication. Some themes add an H1 entry title by default and populate it with the post name.
To get rid of it, you'd have to make a change to your theme template. VIsit the support group for your theme provider and see if they have provided a how-to or can provide that information there.

Missing description + Missing or invalid H1
So I have more than 1.4K Meta Data Issues that states that there is "Missing Description" together with "Missing or invalid H1" and I have spent so many hours trying to figure this out, still no luck.. The problem seems to be to add a description in a specific tag, for example: https://www.troyhoffman.com/blog/tag/courage The platform I use (Squarespace) doesn't allow me to add a description to e specific tag. Any ideas on how I can fix this problems? 5TBfuDj

My "tag" pages are showing up as duplicate content. Is this harmful?
Hi. I ran a Moz sitecrawl. I see "Yes" under "Duplicate Page Content" for each of my tag pages. Is this harmful? If so, how do I fix it? This is a Wordpress site. Tags are used in both the blog and ecommerce sections of the site. Ecommerce is a very small portion. Thank you. | |

Pages with Temporary Redirects on pages that don't exist!
Hi There Another obvious question to some I hope. I ran my first report using the Moz crawler and I have a bunch of pages with temporary redirects as a medium level issue showing up. Trouble is the pages don't exist so they are being redirected to my custom 404 page. So for example I have a URL in the report being called up from lord only knows where!: www.domain.com/pdf/home.aspx This doesn't exist, I have only 1 home.aspx page and it's in the root directory! but it is giving a temp redirect to my 404 page as I would expect but that then leads to a MOZ error as outlined. So basically you could randomize any url up and it would give this error so I am trying to work out how I deal with it before Google starts to notice or before a competitor starts to throw all kinds at my site generating these errors. Any steering on this would be much appreciated!

Tool recommendation for Page Depth?
I'd like to crawl our ecommerce site to see how deep (clicks from home page) pages are. I want to verify that every category, sub-category, and product detail page is within three clicks of the home page for googlebot. Suggestions? Thanks!

In alt tag of a image can we use #hashtag or domain.com ? Is that good SEO or not allowed ?
Some of the Google Search shows a title has a hashtag of an article, which contain keyword and while tweeting them, the title which has a hashtag automatically very good used for getting traffic to the blog. And other one, can we use the hash tag inside the alt attribute ? Or our domain name with .com in it. Like Google.com or #Google ?

How can I reduce the number of links on a page and keep the site easy to navigate?
The SEOmoz Site Crawl indicates that we have too many on page links on over 9,970 pages. This is an ecommerce site with a large number of categories. I have a couple of questions regarding this issue: How important is the "too many on page links" factor to SEO? What are some methods of reducing the number of links when there are a large number of categories? We have main categories with dropdown menus currently and have found that they are used to browse and shop the store.
