Moz Bar Not Showing DA?
-
Hello all,
This could be something to do with our site or the Moz bar on Chrome, I just need to know which it is so if it is our website we can look into it further.
On certain sections of our website the Moz bar doesn't display any Domain Authority, not even zero, the bar just isn't present. These types of pages are php which pull in data through a feed daily.
Speaking to an SEO expert they said it could be where the page is being updated so frequently, or it could be something more sinister and technically not quite right.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is the Moz bar just not working for these types os pages or is it more likely something to do with my site? Ironically it's these pages which I'm having trouble with that are not showing in SERPs!
Thanks!

If MozBar isn't displaying Domain Authority (DA), you can troubleshoot the issue by updating the extension, checking website availability, ensuring active Moz subscription, google cloaking ads verifying website indexing, using a compatible browser, disabling ad blockers, maintaining a stable internet connection, clearing cache and cookies, reviewing MozBar settings, and contacting Moz support if the issue persists. DA data relies on Moz's indexing and algorithms, so addressing these factors can help resolve the problem.

The issue could be related to either your website or the Moz bar on Chrome. Start by checking if the Moz bar works on other websites to rule out a Moz-specific problem.
If the Moz bar is fine, investigate your website:
Frequent data updates might affect Moz's Domain Authority display.
Ensure there are no technical issues, like crawl errors or server problems.
Confirm you're not blocking Moz's crawlers in your robots.txt file.
Additionally, address why these pages aren't appearing in search results. Collaborate with your web development and SEO teams for a comprehensive solution. -
If the Moz Bar is not displaying Domain Authority (DA) for a website or webpage, consider checking factors such as indexing status, your Moz account status, limitations of the free version, data availability, browser compatibility, website restrictions, and potential server issues on Moz's end. Troubleshoot by ensuring you're logged in, updating your browser web development and extension, disabling interfering browser extensions, and waiting for data to become available. For persistent issues or technical problems, seek assistance from Moz's support or community resources.

Hey,
I think it's an easy problem to get rid of. Based on your description, it's possible that the issue is related to the browser or extension settings rather than your website.
To troubleshoot, start by updating your Chrome browser to the latest version and ensure you're not in incognito mode.
Additionally, disable any other extensions that might be interfering with cookies. If the problem persists, try clearing the cookies for the moz.com page and restarting your browser.
If all else fails, you can go to your browser settings and reset everything, including disabling and reinstalling the MozBar extension.
I've personally found this approach helpful in similar situations. Give it a try, and hopefully, it resolves the issue for you, assuming there are no underlying technical issues with Mozbar not showing Domain Authority and Page Authority (DA/PA).
Good luck!

How to solve?
-
Did you find any resolution to this? I'm having a similar issue now....
-
Hi Harry!
My initial thought is perhaps it's something browser-related. So, I'd recommend clearing your cache and cookies first, and then potentially uninstalling and reinstalling your MozBar; perhaps it has to do with the extension not updating fully.
It's a little tough for me to say for certain without being able to take a look at a particular example. So, if you're still running into issues, then I'd recommend shooting us some URLs where you're observing this over at help@moz.com
-
I haven't thought about it a lot because my issue resolves itself when I reload.
Have you tried entering the URLs in question directly into Open Site Explorer? What do you see there?
-
Thanks for your response Linda.
I've refreshed many times on this and other pages of this stile but it still doesn't appear.
It's a bit worrying if the Moz bar can't see our Domain juice on these sorts of pages...
Any ideas as to what it could be?
-
This might have nothing to do with your particular problem, but I have seen a similar thing on my site. When I see that, I reload the page and the Domain authority populates.

Does Moz have a way to export full SERPs yet?
I don't like being restricted to tracking only three competitors' rankings so I'm wondering if I could just export the full SERPs like I can on Ahrefs and SEMrush.

Canonical in Moz crawl report
I'm wondering if the moz bot is seeing my rel="canonical" on my pages. There are 2 notices that are bothering me: Overly Dynamic URL Rel Canonical Overly Dynamic URL - This notice is being generated by urls with query strings. On the main page I have the rel="canonical" tag in the header. So every page with the query string has the canonical tag that points to the page that should be indexed. So my question...Why the notice? Isn't this being handled properly with the canonical tag? I know I can use my robots.txt or the tool in Google search console but is it really necessary when I have the canonical on every page? Here is one of the links that has the "Overly Dynamic URL" notice, as you can see the the canonical in the header points to the page without the query string: https://www.vistex.com/services/training/traditional-classroom/registration-form/?values=true&course-title=DMP101 – Data Maintenance Pricing – Business Processes&date=March 14, 2016 Rel Canonical - Every page in my report has this notice "Using rel=canonical suggests to search engines which URL should be seen as canonical". I'm using the rel="canonical" tag on all of my pages by default. Is the report suggesting that I don't do this? Or is it suggesting that I should? Again...why the notice?

Should I exclude prepositions in tracked keywords of moz analytics?
I'm new to Moz. Just set up my trial campaign, and it had suggested many keywords. Many of the phrases that were suggested do not contain prepositions. For example, instead of something like "sporting good stores in Chicago" it suggested "sporting good stores Chicago" Today, I looked at the on-page optimization suggestions, which are (of course) suggesting that I remove prepositions from my page to rank well. Well, as you know, that is unnatural to the reader. But I suspect people are searching in higher volume, leaving the prepositions out. I know that if I were to search for a sporting goods store in Chicago, I would probably leave out "in." What should I do? Should I remove all the suggested keywords, and make them readable (which people are less like using in their search?) Do I go back to all my pages and try to optimize it for a keyword that is natural, but does not include a preposition (such as Chicago sporting goods stores) or should I be doing something else?

Why isn't the Moz bar data populating for Yahoo sites?
The Moz bar isn't populating information for Yahoo homepage or it's verticals (i.e. homes, autos, finance, etc.), but I can get this data for other portals like AOL or MSN. I'm specifically looking for PA, mR, and DA information, but instead I get a generic "Search Profile" bar with no page/site-specific data.

Connect to Google Analytics problem (Moz Analytics)
Hello - I recently received the Beta invite to Moz Analytics (very excited). I set up the campaign for our primary site and entered our Google Analytics profile - however, Moz does not seem to accept the profile when I click the "Save" button. All of our profiles are listed w/in the drop-down menu, but after selecting the profile we wish to link/connect to - nothing happens. So we're not receiving any stats w/in Moz from our GA acct. Please help. I'm really anxious to begin delving into Moz Analytics! Thanks

Blocked Production Site from Search Engines - How to get it Crawled by Moz Crawler
I have an 'under development' site hosted, (which is an exact replica of live site as working on to add new functionalities & modules) - but its password protected, excluded from robots.txt (Disallow) & also marked noindex on all pages in the index - so that Googlebot & other Search Engines can not crawl the site At present the development work is almost 95% completed., Now - feel like to crawl the site through SEOMOZ Roger Bot - to know the errors and all indexed urls by Rogerbot. What's the best way to get Moz Bot crawl the site - but simultaneously continue it blocking its access to Search Engines I have gone through - https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/93708?hl=en, it says a) Save it in a password-protected directory. Googlebot and other spiders won't be able to access the content- But this way Moz will also not be able to crawl the site b) Use a robots.txt to control access to files and directories on your server - However it also says - It's important to note that even if you use a robots.txt file to block spiders from crawling content on your site, Google could discover it in other ways and add it to our index. c) Use a noindex meta tag to prevent content from appearing in our search results - It also says that a link to the page can still appear in their search results. Because we have to crawl your page in order to see the noindex tag, there's a small chance that Googlebot won't see and respect the noindex meta tag Password Protected thus seems the best way to continue blocking. However, continuing with it will also block Moz bot to crawl the site. Any suggestions Thanks
