I have a GoDaddy website and have multiple homepages

I have GoDaddy website builder and a new website http://ecuadorvisapros.com and I notices through your crawl test that there are 3 home pages http://ecuadorvisapros with a 302 temporary redirect, http://www.ecuadorvisapros.com/ with no redirect and http://www.ecuadorvisapros/home.html. GoDaddy says there is only one home page. Is this going to kill my chances of having a successful website and can this be fixed? Or can it. I actually went with the SEO version thinking it would be better, but it wants to auto change my settings that I worked so hard at with your sites help.
Please keep it simple, I am a novice although I have had websites in the past I know more about the what's than the how's of websites.

Thank you I think you have answered my question. It looks like my only option now is start a new website using WordPress. If I continue with my current website I will be throwing link money down the toilet. What is really sad is that I bought the SEO version of the website thinking it would give me more options.

You are encountering something that happens from time to time with communication about websites - as far as GoDaddy is concerned, there is only one "page" - there is only one document that is your home page - but the page has several different URLs, which is what's causing Google and Moz Tools to recognize it as several different pages. It's more of a terminology thing than anything (but a sarcastic response is never in good taste, not the best customer service there)!
As far as website content management systems go, I always recommend WordPress. It's very customizable, but there are many great out-of-the-box templates that work well for SEO too. There are several great plugins for WordPress that help make SEO changes easier - two good ones are WordPress SEO by Yoast and the All-in-One SEO pack. If you want to change your website's hosting as well, do a bit of research - many hosting companies will help you with step-by-step instructions for moving your site and installing WordPress.

I called GoDaddy again and they continue to tell me there is only one homepage and no redirects and that there is no way to change the website. I also got a sarcastic response saying I needed to build my own website and host it on a private server. I still trust MozPro crawlers and Google more than Godaddy. At this point I don't think even someone with developer skills can make these changes though I may be wrong. Is there a simple website design program like GoDaddy that I can use and that is SEO friendly? I hate to switch at this point but what I do now will reflect in the future. It's frustrating not knowing what can be changed.

Jaume is correct that the best solution would be to 1.) change that 302 redirect to a 301 (which would let Google know that the redirect is permanent, rather than temporary) and 2.) Also use a 301 redirect to redirect http://www.ecuadorvisapros.com/home.html to http://www.ecuadorvisapros.com. http://www.edcuadorvisapros.com is the home page that you want. However, this can be difficult to do if you don't have developer experience, and how easy it is to do also depends on the website system you're using. If you don't want to mess with redirects, or can't get the page redirecting properly, you will want to use the canonical tag instead. In the section of http://www.ecuadorvisapros.com/home.html, put the tag . This will let Google know which version of the page is the "official" version. I am not sure what or where that is. I have limited access to what's inside the GoDaddy website. I will try and contact GoDaddy again. Also I am concerned with the 302 redirect. I hear that it will not pass link juice. Is this a common problem with Godaddy websites and how might I fix it? I hate to scrap them due to the work I have already put in.

My homepage redirects to itself?
Hi there - I'm not a SEO so help would be appreciated! Moz is telling me we have a redirect loop but the URLs are the same. https://www.example.com/ to https://www.example.com/ Why is my homepage creating a redirect loop to itself? We use Wordpress and I do not have any redirects listed for our homepage. Could this have something to do with switching to https in April? Thanks, Katherine

Redirect multiple domains to 1 domain or not?
Hi there, I have client who has multiple domains that already have some PA and DA. Problem is that most websites have the same content and rank better on different keywords.

Question is if I redirect domain x to domain y do the rankings of domain x increase on domain y? Or is it better to keep domain x separately to generate more referral traffic to domain y? US and UK Websites of Same Business with Same Content

Homepage not indexed - seems to defy explanation
Hey folks Hoping to get some more eyes on a specific problem I am seeing with a clients site. Site: http:www.ukjuicers.com We have checked everything we can think of and the usual suspects here are not present: Canonical URL is in place Site is shown as indexed in search console No Crawl, DNS, Connectivity or server errors No robots.txt blocking - verified in search console No robots meta tags or directives Fetch as Google works Fetch & render works site command returns all other pages info command does not return the homepage homepage is cached and cache has been updated since this issue started: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:www.ukjuicers.com homepage is indexed in yahoo and Bing all variations redirect to the www.ukjuicers.com domain (.co.uk, .com, www, sans www etc) The only issue I found after some extensive digging was some issues with the HTTP and HTTPS versions of the site both being available and both specifying the canonical version as themselves. So, http site used canonicals with http and https site used canonicals with https. So, a conflict there with the canonical exacerbating the problem it is there to solve. The HTTPS site is not indexed though and we have set this up in webmaster tools and now the web developer has set redirects to ensure all versions even the https now 301 redirect to the http://www.ukjuicers.com page so these canonical issues have been ironed out. But... it's still not indexing the homepage. The practical implications of this are quite scary - the site used to be somewhere between 1st and 4th for keywords like 'juicers', 'juicer' etc. Now they are bottom of page 1 or top of page 2 with an internal page. They were jostling with the big boys (amazon, argos, john lewis etc) but now they are right at the bottom of the second page. It's a strange one - i have seen all manor of technical problems over the years but this one seems to defy sensible explanation. The next step is to do a full technical SEO audit of the site but I am always of the opinion that with many eyes all bugs are shallow so if anyone has any input or experience with odd indexation problems like this would love to get your input. Multiple H1 tags in Squarespace
Hi. I'm using Squarespace, and I've noticed they assign the page title and site title h1 tag status. So if I add an on-page h1 tag, that's three in total. I've seen what Matt Cutts said about multiple h1 tags being acceptable (although that video was back in 2009 and a lot has changed since then). But I'm still a little concerned that this is perhaps not the best way of structuring for SEO. Could anyone offer me any advice? Thanks.

Determining When to Break a Page Into Multiple Pages?
Suppose you have a page on your site that is a couple thousand words long. How would you determine when to split the page into two and are there any SEO advantages to doing this like being more focused on a specific topic. I noticed the Beginner's Guide to SEO is split into several pages, although it would concentrate the link juice if it was all on one page. Suppose you have a lot of comments. Is it better to move comments to a second page at a certain point? Sometimes the comments are not super focused on the topic of the page compared to the main text.

How to SEO a Website Built off Godaddy?
I have a client whose website is built off Godaddy services. I know Godaddy is not the right choice for building a website, but what's done is done. The client has already bought the Godaddy services and there's no way I can tell him to go rebuild his website before we could optimize it for SEO. I'm already facing a lot of challenges while optimizing on-page elements. When I wanted to verify the ownership for Google Analytics and Webmaster Tool via his Godaddy account. the process failed many times. it looks like Godaddy is using some kind of caching not allowing us to modify the codes. For example, I'd applied the site verification codes for Webmasters Tool 48 hours ago, and the metatag for google site verification is not yet updated in the frontend. It's quite frustrating. What would you suggest?
