Blog commenting

Is this still a good way of getting backlinks? I do not plan on making it my only method. Most of my backlinking is done through content creation, press releases, and guest blogging.
But looking for some variety in there that can be done quicker.
Is it even worth the time or are the links too spammy now?
If I did I would actually hand build the links and comment to the article.

Disqus is "nofollow"

Blog commenting is one of the lower value backlinks....but here are a few search strings to find dofollow blogs!
type in your keyword then on of the search stings with quotations into Google....the resulting sites will have dofollow blogs commenting

Half the pages on there have closed comments or are nofollow. Ive never seen a tool or software that guarantees Dofollow links that actually works.
-
Another question - is when I have used those find do follow tools I often find .edu pages but there will be hundreds of comments with spammed links cause of its weight. If I find a edu or non edu page with tons of links like that is it even worth my time to try commenting on it?
-
You can find do follow locations for your comments with this free search tool:
http://www.inlineseo.com/dofollowdiver/
When I comment, I make them long and thought out as a way to get my name out there. People like to see debate and controversy, so don't be afraid to comment (politely) about why you disagree with their opinions.

There are plenty of sites ranking for competitive terms that use blog comment links as a huge component of their link profile, so yes, they still work. They are effective for establishing link diversity (your approach) and also great for camouflaging a link profile (even nofollow links) -- making it harder for a competitor to sift through your link profile and spot the links that are really powerful and driving authority to your site.
Beyond those considerations, the real value I see in blog commenting is the potential to establish relationships. If you comment thoughtfully and regularly on the blog of an influential player in your industry, you increase the likelihood of being able to acquire a legitimate link from them in the future, receive social mentions, or potentially create a partnership of some sort (sponsorship or affiliate arrangement).
If you do it right, there's some value there. Just make sure you focus on your other (more effective) methods and use blog commenting judiciously.

The problem with blog links is that most of them are nofollow links. While no follow links can still be useful, having a lot of them can be frowned upon by google. I would recommend writing more articles for links on different article sites and writing press releases. Having more unique sites linking to you is really important in any SEO strategy.

Blog post outreach for backlinks
Hi all, My understanding of obtaining backlinks by way of blogpost outreach is that it's best to include several outbound links to related high domain websites within blog post copy (as well as a link to the website you're marketing, obviously) such as this post https://www.scoopearth.com/why-should-you-use-royalty-free-music-for-youtube-videos/ or this one https://small-bizsense.com/how-to-create-quality-content-for-your-business/. However, I've recently read a few articles that suggest that from a human perspective only having one clear link in the copy, such as this post https://www.clichemag.com/entertainment/movies/the-benefits-of-royalty-free-cinematic-music-for-your-videos/, increases the chance of the reader visiting the site in question. I guess the thinking is that if there's only one link to be clicked on it increases the chances of click-thru, as opposed to the reader possibly clicking on another external link that's only there because of current SEO advice. So is it best to follow SEO guidelines and include several outbound links within guest blog posts, or is it better to only have the one link to your client's site (to focus the readers attention on it)?

Moving blogs to different domain
Hey guys, We currently have some blogs on one of our pages (fraserisland.com.au) and we are launching a complete rebranding of our sites. We want to move the blogs from fraserisland.com.au to the new parent page of travelfreedom.com.au (but still link it to fraserisland.com.au), however I don't know what affect this will have on the ranking of the blogs. The biggest thing I'm worried about is that the domain will be completely different, and not a sub domain, but I'm not sure what impact this will have on the effectiveness of SEO on the blog. Thanks guys

Has anyone used Fat Joe as an outsource solution for blog links?
Hi guys, I have seen a company on social media a lot recently who offer a guest blog posting service. It seems to be reasonable quality from the reviews and the blurb they give as they at least seem to find you a relevant blogger to match up with, actually write good content with as many reviews as is needed and then post it to just that one page. I noticed on their site they have claimed that their service is Loved by Moz but I couldn't find any reference to them anywhere on the Moz site. My question is - has anyone used them and are the links going to be any good for my site?

Houzz Comment Links
A company I am working with has been posting pictures and links to their website in the comments section of Houzz articles. I notice many companies have been doing this in general. While it generates decent amounts of traffic, I am wondering if google sees 30 links coming from article comments that it will deem that as spam? My gut tells me to send these comment links to the Houzz member profile, then direct them to your own website. Thoughts? ***Anyone in home design, decor, etc. should really get involved there. Fantastic source of business for professional in that field.

Website/blog list to get quality backlinks?
Hi Everyone says quality backlinks increase ranking of your website. Can you please suggest a list of good websites and blogs from where I can get quality backlinks and how to do that. I have one person at my disposal full time to do manual commenting or any manual tasks for getting backlinks but how should i approach this problem (of getting backlinks). Where do I start. For information, my website provides online services (its an ecommerce site) and also has a blog in subdirectory. refer to www.geekwik.com www.geekwik.com/blog Would like to become top ranker on search for these services (eg 'logo design services', 'website programming', 'content writing', 'hire virtual assistant' etc) Also anyone interested to become our SEO consultant or SEO service provider (of course paid) is most welcome 🙂 Thanks in Advance!

What is the purpose of submitting your blog articles to directories?
I was wondering what the purpose of submitting your blog articles to directories are. Doesn't it require enough "points" or "+1's" for it to become a "do-follow" link? People on the forum talk about automating directory submission, can anyone recommend a good software for this? I've been hearing that Google Penalizes you for article submission because it looks like spam?
