How to get a verification tick next to the URL in a Google Plus Local page?

So how do I get the verification tick next to the URL on this businesses Google page? Also, even though the website is much strong then those in the map listings for Wedding Venues In Essex, whats preventing this website from appearing in there?
My local optimisation knowledge is poor!

I've never had this problem yet (touch wood) but what I find works is verifying the actual business via phone or postcard, which you have done, linking the web URL in the 'Contact Us' section and then creating a Google+ button on your webpage which links to the URL that you have entered.
E.g.
http:www.russkellfurniture.co.uk
https://plus.google.com/106174762290348981656
Sometimes it takes a couple of days for Google to recognise that they are linked, but this is the way I usually find works.
If you're still struggling in a couple of days time I suggest you try https://support.google.com/places/contact/c2c_places (they are online from 2pm UK time). I've spoke to these guys a couple of times regarding issues with Google Places and Local accounts and they always sort the problem for me.

Right so I log into the account. This is the page that is reffered to in all the documents I've read

I click on that, and it just loops me back to the exact same page.
I've verified the listing, I've got the tick next to the name etc. It's just this bloody URL verification

Oh, I just revisited the link I gave you initially.
Note: If you have a local Google+ Page, you should use the local verification process to add your business information to Google Maps and display the verification badge on your Google+ Page. You may also choose to link your website to the page using the process outlined below.
So, did you try this?

You cannot merge a business page with a local place. You can have both if you want, but I think you should be able to verify a link on any of the two types of pages.
Try to log out from your google account and then log in and see what happens when you want to link your website to your page. I can't see any reason for which you are not able to verify you website.
If it still does not work, please provide a screenshot or detailed explanation of what is happening. I cannot help you out just by reading that it does not work. Please provide more details.

Does that work for a business page or a local place? Or do I need to set up both and connect the two? Because I've done it before on a business page but not a local page

From my experience, Google+ page will be automatically linked if you are logged in with the same account where you have webmaster tools verified site. So, just log in with the same user that has access to that domain in webmaster tools and the link should be recognized.

Help people discover your pageAnd expand your following on Google+When I click on that, it just refreshes the page. No idea why it's not doing it. I've seen other local pages have their website verified

Radius Size around GMB location for google local search
We are a digital marketing agency Our clients are (virtually all) retail automotive dealerships. We compete in various market places coast to coast (USA). Since Google puts retail automotive dealerships under Local SEO umbrella, is it known ( published ) how large is the radius around my client's Google My Business rooftop's address? How wide is their search 'reach' according to Google? Asked another way, in a triangular, three SEO geo area, with one city being at the epicenter of the population dispersion, and my client, versus my client's competitors being different distances from where the majority of the population emanates from, all other SERP factors being equal (assumption) between the two competitors, how far is each clients REACH from a Local Search standpoint. Is this known? Published by Google. How Do I Remove Address from Google Business Page?
Not very up to date in handling local listings, so here's my situation. I have an office that is not going out of business, but instead going virtual. So that physical address will no longer exist but the team is intact. So I am dealing with the Google Business Listing page for this office at https://business.google.com/ In the "Published on" section, it has Google Search, Google Maps, and Google+. I want to remove it from Maps and the address from this account. There's an address for this store, but editing it only seems to allow changing, but not removal. There is also the option of "Mark as Permanently Closed", but surely that isn't the best option since that will leave a nasty red "PERMANENTLY CLOSED" in the results when searching. What's the best course of action here?

For Google's Structured Data, should I change my listings from Product schema to Local Business schema?
I was reading Google's Structured Data spec, and I'm considering changing the schema of our listing pages from the Product schema to the Local Business schema. Is this a good idea? To give you a little more info, the pages that I'm classifying are listings for physical spaces that our website rents out for activities, such as meetings. Here's an example of a listing: https://www.peerspace.com/pages/listings/550ddcde2f352d0800fc186b Our goal is to add the proper schema.org tags to the page so that our spaces show up in local searches, such as "meeting space in San Francisco." The problem is that when we add location microdata (addressLocality, addressRegion, etc.) to our current "Product" schema, Google tells us that "Products" can't have a location. However, we aren't quite a "Local Business" either, since we don't publicly share our space's street addresses—only the space's neighborhood/city/state for privacy reasons. As a result, we get an error from Google's Structured Data Tool as a "Local Business" page because "streetAddress" is required for Local Businesses. Should we switch to the Local Business schema anyway, even though we get structured data errors for streetAddress? Or is it better not to include the location information in the microdata so that we don't have errors? Does Google penalize you for incomplete tags? Any input is appreciated!

Local Search and Schema.org - Do I need to tag up the "same as" Property to all my citations to help with local rankings?
Hi All, We have implemented Schema.og on our website and this also includes the local business schema for all of our branches.However I've read an article (see below ) which says we should also be doing "same as " property and linking this to ALL of our citations such as google plus page , yelp , bing places, city search etc etc as this will help with citations. I am wondering if anyone has done this ? - And if so , has this helped with local rankings etc - I don't really want to invest the extra costs to get this done if I can't find anywhere that says its made a difference - The article from whitespark - says - "when you create new citations for your business (or for your client’s), it’s a waiting game hoping that Google and the other search engines will find your new citations quickly and make the connection between those listings, the business, and the website. The “sameAs” property can help make that process much quicker _and _easier. Schema.org explains that the “sameAs” property is used along with the “URL of a reference Web page that unambiguously indicates the item's [or business’] identity.” By using the “sameAs” property in your NAP schema markup, you can tell search engines that the business you’ve marked up is the same one found at a certain citation URL Of course, Google+ isn’t the only important citation source. Should I change my local listing Service type from Brick and Mortar to Service Area in Google? And will it affect my ranking in a negative manner?
Currently my company Big Boy Bail Bonds, Inc is ranking very well for the city it is located and, currently service type is brick and mortar. But my Company does not only service people at our location but we service the entire county of Los Angeles.
