Hi there,
I am currently reading and learning about backlinks and I find myself stumped as to where I can submit my website to. I understand the logic's and methods for backlinks but just don't know how to find good quality websites to submit my website to.
I appreciate any help in advance.

Hi Jay,
When you say 'submit your website to" be careful you don't fall foul of Google's guidelines See: Link Schemes: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66356?hl=en) otherwise, all your efforts could be in vain.
Don't be tempted to submit your site to each and every blog or directory which has a dofollow link in the hope of a quick boost to your rankings (which, for many, was the "go to" method to fast-track their way to the top, a few years back). Instead, spend some finding the 'influencers' within your niche and take some time to build relationships with them and see if you can get them to engage with you, to help you promote your product or service. A great tool to help you find these 'influencers' is BuzzStream: http://www.buzzstream.com.

Hi Jay,
I would be very careful with your links. You can add your site to some business directories for a start but make sure you check them before you place the link. A good article on inbound links is:

I use the Open Site Explorer to see what the value of a link has:

Hi All, What Should be the URL of third party blog for my website. Lets say if i have a website xyz.com (which provide pest control services in New York City) and I want to create third party blogs on platforms like blogspot, weebly etc so should i create the blog url as xyz.blogspot.com or i can use a keyword in the blog URL such as pestcontrolnyc.blogspot.com? Duplicate contents with competitors websites
Hello, I have use the http://copyscape.com to check the duplicate content and found that my website have some errors duplicate contents with other competitors website. But a problem is, I could not define the reason of this (my website copied the competitors website or they copied of mine) To solve this issues, should I modify a unique my contents (this is difficult) or anyone have a good solution for this problem? Dmoz.Org listings - how much more difficult can it be?
We have had a quality website for 12 years. We have good rankings and good PR. But for some reason, I have never been able to get listed on Dmoz.org - it's like they're not even reviewing it. It's not like I got a rejection letter or anything, just a no response and we just can't seem to get listed there. It's almost like the editors for our category are just not responsive or just not around. Or maybe they're a competitor and don't want us listed? Questions: 1. How important is it for an established site to get listed? I imagine that dmoz being an authority site, it would still be very helpful for rankings. 2. There are dmoz "submission services" - where they claim to list your site the proper way. They don't guarantee their service, since they obviously can't, and you have to pay either way. Does anyone recommend these services and anyone know of a particular one that is up & up? Any help on getting listed would be appreciated!

How can I check a website to see if it is "nofollow"?
I'm a little new to SEO, so maybe this is obvious to some . . . I'm attempting to build backlinks by submitting articles, posting on forums etc. I just wrote my forst article for ezine and submitted it. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I mentioned it to someone trying to sell me their SEO services and he said that ezine articles are considered "nofollow" on all their links. Well, that was pretty frustrating to hear! It got me wondering, how many of these other sites have all their posts and blogs listed as "nofollow"? Is there a way for me to figure it out ahead of time? Obviously, there are only so many hours in the day and I would rather focus on posting on sites that will actually help me build backlinks! Can link juice be passed in an iframe from domain A to domain B
Need to give our web partners our booking form which must be loaded in an iframe calling back to our domain. Is it possible to pass any link juice from their domain loading our iframe back to us. Was thinking of a "Powered by" text link in the form footer, but I'm guessing the link needs to be outside the iframe. Would love to hear any thoughts or workarounds on this.
