My Site DA did not increase Even My DR is 33
-
HI Moz Community,
I have a little issue about my site DA. My site has more than 100 strong backlinks but still my Domain authority is less than 20 But on the other hand Ahrefs show my site Domain rating is 30+. So i have a question is how can I increase my site Domain authority?
-
I understand your concern. Domain Authority (DA) and Domain Rating (DR) are different metrics, and they can change at different paces. While a high DR is a positive indicator, it doesn't guarantee an immediate increase in DA. Keep focusing on high-quality content and backlinks, and over time, you'll likely see your DA improve. Patience and consistency are key in the world of SEO.

I am facing the same issue on my site I think we can make more high-authority links to increase our site's DA. Because backlinks are most important to increase site DA

@jiouereniou mostly Ahref Picks backlinks status within few days but Moz takes time So when the moz picked the backlinks which has huge DA then surly your site DA increase automatically, Like I have not implemented any strong off-page for my website, I just done branding last months ago, and My site OEM Olehana that has only 11 DA.

Seeking Advice & Strategies to Boost Rankings and Moz DA/DR
I'm seeking guidance on optimizing the rankings and increasing Moz Domain Authority (DA) and Domain Rating (DR) for my websites, www.fastlanddeals.com and www.fastlandoffer.com, especially in light of the recent Google March 2024 Core Update. What strategies and tactics do you recommend for navigating these changes effectively and enhancing the overall visibility and authority of these domains?

Links between own sites cause bad pagerank?
Many people say PR does not matter, but for me its an indicator that links from a domain with higher PR may rank better. My client has a about 4 different travel-sites of very different kinds of travelling. His sites are not ranking bad but all sites have just a PR 0-2 although the content is unique. I made the experience that even sites with few content will have at least a PR of 3 after some years with no SEO effort. One reason is may some part of duplicate content (4 Tours begin in Manaus, so the description for Manaus is on all the 4 Tour pages the same) but another is that the pages have few external links but many of other sites he is owning... like: also check out this -> link to another own site. Question: If I take all these links away (they even don't cause many referrals at all) - will this have a positive effect on rankings? Means trying to have always more external links from not self owned sites is a good start? Thanks for sharing your experiences Holger

Subpage PR4, No PR increase on Homepage - what gives?
This subpage gained a PR4 (was PR5) from external links. http://tinyurl.com/a24ghh9 It only has 5 links, including 2 links to the site's homepage. The homepage was PR2 before this subpage was published, and still is even after 2 PR updates. I'm surprised the PageRank that should be flowing from this subpage to the homepage hasn't increased the homepage PR to at least 3. Assuming each level of toolbar PR is 10x the one before, a PR4 subpage with 5 links should pass more than enough PR to the homepage to bump it from PR2 to PR3, right? Any ideas? Does Google have a really strong decay on how much PR gets passed from subpages to homepages? This is somewhat troubling to me, as it poses a problem for the "attract links to your content pages and your homepage and money pages will rise with the tide" approach.

Linking to Adsense heavy sites?
Hi SEOmoz community! Hopefully a pretty straight forward question here... Does anyone know if linking to "Adsense heavy" websites can have a negative impact on your rankings? Or a positive impact even? Thes sites in particular are owned by a business aquintance, so they come from a trusted source even though the sites themselves look quite "spammy". Also they all have pagerank of 1 or 2 and there's about 100 of the sites that we would link to. Does anyone have any thoughts? Regards, Ash 🙂
