Unsolved Matomo Data Integration

As GA4 is not easily usable for all clients in the EU, it would be great if you could offer a Matomo integration. Matomo has recently been more and more popular and is used by a lot of companies, that are required to adhere to EU standards in data privacy.

We understand the importance of data privacy compliance in the EU. While we currently don't have a direct integration with Matomo, we're actively exploring new integrations to better serve our users. In the meantime, you can manually set up Matomo on your website and utilize its robust analytics features, ensuring adherence to EU data privacy standards. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to enhancing our platform to meet diverse user needs.

Matomo provides a RESTful API that allows you to access your analytics data programmatically. You can use this API to retrieve information about your website's visitors, page views, goals, and more. You can integrate this API with other applications, such as custom dashboards, reporting tools, or CRM systems.

Thank you for your suggestion regarding Matomo integration as an alternative to GA4 for clients in the EU. We understand the importance of data privacy compliance, particularly in the European Union, and we are continually exploring options to provide versatile solutions that align with various regulatory standards.
While we don't have specific integration capabilities ourselves, we encourage website owners and developers to explore the possibility of implementing Matomo for analytics. Matomo, known for its robust data privacy features and compliance with EU regulations like GDPR, can be a suitable choice for organizations aiming to respect data privacy while still gaining valuable insights from their website's traffic.
To integrate Matomo into your website, you may follow these general steps:
Sign up for a Matomo account or set up a self-hosted Matomo instance.
Install the Matomo tracking code on your website's pages, similar to how you would with Google Analytics.
Configure Matomo according to your preferences, ensuring it complies with EU data privacy regulations.
By utilizing Matomo, you can have more control over your analytics data, enhance data privacy, and maintain transparency with your users while still obtaining valuable information about your website's performance.Keep in mind that the specific integration process may vary based on your website's platform, and it's advisable to seek guidance from Matomo's documentation or consult with a web developer experienced in Matomo integration to ensure a smooth transition from GA4.

Offering a Matomo integration would be beneficial, as GA4 may not be user-friendly for all EU clients. Matomo's increasing popularity and alignment with EU data privacy standards make it a valuable addition.

Are there any plans for a Moz connector to Google Data Studio
Hello all, As title reads, are there any plans for a Moz connector to Google Data Studio to help automate reporting? I'm surprised this doesn't exist already because Data Studio is so heavily used. Thanks in advance. Simon

Errors for URLS being too long and archive data is duplicate
I have hundreds of errors for the same three things. The URL is too long. Currently the categories are domain.com/product-category/name main product/accessory product/

-Do I eliminate somehow the product category? Not sure how to fix this. 2) It has all of my category pages listed as archives showing duplicates. I don't know why, as they are not blog posts, they hold products on them. I don't have an archived version of this. How do I fix this? 3. It is saying my page speed is slow. I am very careful to optimize all my photos in PhotoShop. Plus I have a tool on the site to further compress. I just went with another host company that is supposed to be faster. Any ideas/ I would so appreciate your help and guidance. All my best to everyone, be safe and healthy.0 -
Page Authority should get data from non AMP page
If you compare your scores with others sites when tracking a keyword and you or someone else has implemented AMP the score is a 1. It would be better to get the PA from the canonical reference. See screen shot for an example. Does anyone else agree? Can this be developed? cJp9J

Is there an API to download keyword data?
Howdy fellow Mozzers, We're tracking a client's keyword rankings in one of our campaigns and want to export that data on a regular basis to display in Tableau. Tableau let's us quickly match up different data sources and create visuals with the data. It's useful for marrying different data sources that don't normally talk to each other. We know we can pull keyword tracking data manually, but we're hoping there's an API or scheduler that we can use to download the data automatically. Automating the process would be super helpful. Thank you!

Suggestion to Improve Moz's Link Data
Hello All. The recent Index update (29th January) seems to have produced quite a few shocks to Moz Pro users. Index updates always cause panic and joy every time they are released. However, I feel this is a big improvement that could be made. In this last index, the DA for my site has remained the same. I was expecting a rise, simply because I have been doing some link building since October and was expecting the results to start showing around this time. However, the link metrics for my site looked worse this month than ever before. The index clearly didn't crawl sites and pages that it has crawled the last couple of indexes, and I noticed a few links disappeared from the metrics altogether, links that I know still exist. So I have a suggestion... If Moz has collected link data in previous indexes, can it not preserve that data rather than starting afresh with every new index. Regular checks could be conducted on existing link data to identify expired or broken links, but to disregard them and start anew with every index seems a little odd. That way, Moz would have much more accurate and comprehensive link data which would help to avoid the DA inaccuracy, and provide users with a better measure of how their site is performing against the rest of the web. This may be naive because I do not know the technical side to index updates. Any thoughts, advice, suggestions etc would be appreciated.

Competitor changed URL. What data do I lose if I update Moz settings?
One of my competitor's has changed their domain URL. I want to update this in the Moz campaign settings but I get a warning that all historical data will be lost if I do. Is that really true? I replaced one of my competitors with another for a week and didn't seem to lose historical data. Incidentally, could this be a feature request to allow more competitors to be tracked? eqEhEHz.jpg
