    Hello!

I have a problem. I'm using Rank Math for WordPress. But I can’t configure a basic thing such as <meta name="author" content="" />. I had to insert this code manually using the hook. Does anyone know a normal way to do this markup?

    Example page: https://b-shoes.com/foot-shaped-shoes/

    Thank you!

Certainly! I completely understand your frustration with configuring the author meta tag in Rank Math for WordPress. While it may seem challenging at first, there is a simpler solution available. In Rank Math, you can easily set the author meta tag by navigating to the "Rank Math" section in your WordPress dashboard, selecting "https://captemp.pro/," and then updating the necessary fields. This allows you to achieve the desired markup without the need for manual code insertion using hooks. I hope this helps simplify the process for you!

        Hello @WayneM
        Try the Following Solution :

Temporarily Deactivate Plugins: Deactivate other plugins one by one to see if any conflict with Rank Math's author meta functionality. If you find a conflict, consider finding an alternative plugin or adjusting its settings.

Switch to a Default Theme: Switch to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Three to rule out theme-related issues. If the author meta tag works with a default theme, your current theme might need adjustments.

We are Happy To Help you.

@WayneM I understand your problem, but there is an easy way for it where you don't know need to do the coding. You can try HFCM plugin, it is in wordpress. It is very easy and hassle free, even a person who doesn't know anything about coding can do it. It is that easy.
Also, there is an agency named DigitalShivanshi, their SEO strategies been amazing. Hope that helps!

If you're facing challenges configuring meta tags, including the author meta tag, using Rank Math for WordPress, consider checking the plugin settings for specific options related to meta tags. In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Posts/Pages. Look for an option to set the author meta tag and input the desired value.

If you can't find the specific option within Rank Math, you may need to use a workaround, such as manually inserting the code via hooks, as you've already done. Alternatively, you can explore other SEO plugins that may offer more granular control over meta tags.

Ensure that you are using the latest version of Rank Math, as updates may include new features or fixes. If the issue persists, you might consider reaching out to Rank Math's support or community forums for guidance on your specific concern.

Remember to backup your website before making significant changes, and test any alterations in a staging environment if possible.

@WayneM There is a simple way for adding "Author Tag" to your header section of the website.
You can use HFCM (Header Footer Code Manager) plugin in WordPress and put the code manually very easily.

And one more thing, HFCM plugin is safe and reliable. You can use it without any worry.

Also if you are looking for SEO audit of your website to handle these types of errors. Then you can Visit SBA Services, they are the Best Digital Marketing Agency and are also providing free Website Audit to their users.
                Thanks!

No worries, I can assist you. To set the author meta tag in Rank Math for WordPress without manual coding, follow these steps:

                  Navigate to your WordPress dashboard.
Go to "Rank Math" in the sidebar.
Click on "Titles & Meta" and then the "Other" tab.
Find "Author Meta" and input the desired content.
                  Save changes.
Rest assured, I've ensured this works for desert safari dubai as well, incorporating the manual step.

@WayneM Navigate to the "General Settings" and then access "Titles & Meta." Within the "Home" tab, locate the "Author's Name" field, where you can input the desired content for the author meta tag. Once entered, save your changes, ensuring that the author information is now embedded in your website's metadata. i applied same method you can on that page "https://topfollowapkdownload.in/" if you didn't got any results you can knock me again

Strategies for Enhancing Lead Generation from Blog Posts

                      content marketing lead form wordpress

Hello Moz Community, I've been running a blog ( www[dot]arrify[dot]com ) for a while, focused on Salesforce. I'm looking to enhance my lead-generation efforts through my blog content. I would appreciate insights and strategies on the following: SEO Best Practices: How can I optimize my blog posts for better search engine visibility to attract more potential leads? Content Engagement: What types of content (e.g., infographics, videos, in-depth guides) have been most effective for engaging readers and encouraging them to provide their contact information? CTA Placement: Where is the most effective placement for calls-to-action within a blog post to maximize lead capture without detracting from user experience? Lead Capture Forms: Are there any recommended practices for designing lead capture forms that encourage sign-ups? Any specific examples or case studies would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

Unsolved Google URL inspection live test rendering issue.

                      google search console wordpress css

Hi Everyone, This is my first post on Moz. I have been trying to get this thing sorted and have read everywhere and everyone just says don't worry about it. I would really like some advice/suggestions on this it will be really helpful. When I use the Google URL inspection tool from the Google search console the page rendering is completely broken. The tool refuses to load resources each time. At end of the day that's how the website is rendered in Google cache. I have already tried disabling cache plugins and Cloudflare but nothing works. site - nationalcarparts.co.nz
This is how it renders when using URL inspection tool -
https://prnt.sc/7XKHtEU01gEl and if you check cache:https://nationalcarparts.co.nz this is how Google is caching it. Plugins I am using - Elementor Version 3.6.1, Elementor Pro Version 3.6.4, Exclusive Addons Elementor Version 2.5.4, Exclusive Addons Elementor Pro Version 1.4.6, WP- rocket, Cloudflare Pro plan with the plugin. Please if someone has fixed this issue and has a possible solution for it. Thanks cacheissue1.PNG

Is it okay to leave HTML entity characters, such as " in meta descriptions? Will search engines translate these appropriately?

                      WooCommerce category naming conventions

I am managing a woocommerce store selling prescription glasses/spectacles. We have a lot of categories with similar names and I want to adopt the best possible naming convention to get the best from search. So we have a number of similar categories for both Men's and women's glasses. Currently they are named as follows: Women's Glasses-Women's Rimless Glasses
                      -Women's Semi Rimless Glasses
                      -Women's Plastic Glasses
                      -Women's Metal Glasses
-Women's Retro Glasses Currently, this results in the following URL structure for sub categories: https://www.glassesonspec.co.uk/product-category/womens-glasses-2/womens-rimless-glasses/ (For some reason WooCommerce is adding -2 to the end of the primary category name, it will not let me change it for some reason, this is the subject of a further investigation!) So first question, is there too much duplication of the word glasses on the sub items? for example, should they read; Women's Glasses
                      -Rimless
                      -Semi Rimless
                      -Plastic
                      -Metal
-Retro Hence giving this URL structure: https://www.glassesonspec.co.uk/product-category/womens-glasses-2/rimless/ OR, should we change the top level category name to just Women's and let the sub categories complete the picture?: Women's
                      -Rimless Glasses
                      -Semi Rimless Glasses
                      -Plastic Glasses
                      -Metal Glasses
-Retro Glasses Giving this example URL structure: https://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.co.uk/product-category/womens/rimless-glasses/ This would solve my hyphenation problem, however my fear is the top level category on it's own is not descriptive enough when viewed as stand alone: https://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.co.uk/product-category/womens/ The second part of my question relates to how to deal with the change in URL structure. I am using Yoast Premium, so will that pick up the changes and automatically redirect to the new one as it does when done manually? Or will I need to take a different approach using HTACCESS commands? I hope the above makes sense, Many thanks, Bob

My employer is shifting to a new domain and i am in the midst of doing URL mapping. I realize that many of the meta descriptions and H1 tags are different on the new pages - is this a problem ? Thank you.

Is the Authority of Individual Pages Diluted When You Add New Pages?

I was wondering if the authority of individual pages is diluted when you add new pages (in Google's view). Suppose your site had 100 pages and you added 100 new pages (without getting any new links). Would the average authority of the original pages significantly decrease and result in a drop in search traffic to the original pages? Do you worry that adding more pages will hurt pages that were previously published?

Does image domain name matter when using a CDN?

Has anyone does studies on using a different CDN domain name for images on a site? Here is an example: or ![](<a)http://cdn.mydomain.com/image.jpg> mydomain.com ranks highly and many images show up in Google/Bing image searches. Is there any actual data that says that using your real domain name for the CDN has benefits versus the default domain name provided by the CDN provider? On the surface, it feels like it would, but I haven't experimented with it.
