Yeh this is likely your hosting issue i also have faced this issue in my client website , Then i understand actually what the problem is ?

I am also working as a freelancer My client's website has the same issue , I researches alot about this after that i came to the point that Domain authority not only depends on backlinks. There are many other factors that increases or decreases it. So make sure your website is perfect for your user.
