Another point is the way the menus display and the speed in which they drop down. Along with the colours of the text which can also be a very important factor in click through ratios.

RE: Are dropdown menus bad for SEO
I would say you will not have any problems from an SEO point of view but from my experience showing new clients and people new to sites with the drop down menus they can be misleading.
The drop down reveals the pages but the main page that is acting as the parent of the other pages is sometimes overlooked as people don't realise they can still click on that.
I speak to people on the phone - hundreds of people and show them sites and time and time again I have to remind them they can click on the main parent button .
We are considering changing this as a result.

RE: Any penalty for having rel=canonical tags on every page?
I have never heard of anyone being penalised for having it on every page. Plus I can't see that ever happening unless it has been implemented incorrectly of course.

RE: Subdomain vs folder vs TLD
This is how I would go about this project. Try and purchase the .com domain and then setup the sub domains for each country based close to the specific countries domain shortening code. So for brazil .br . I would also install separate content management systems on each subdomain to enable different users to control the sites. I presume different people will be making changes on the sites.

RE: Ezine Articles
Interesting one I added this to my blog at http://blog.onlinemediadirect.co.uk but have had low levels of comments. Noticed you do magento
If I may go off topic for a moment I wanted to see if its possible to get a feed from magento to integrate withing ebay and amazon ? Plus thinking of an easy upload to adwords.
It has something like 7000 products hence the requirement.

Ezine Articles
How much do other people rate Ezines as a provider of articles and incoming links. What are peoples experiences.
It has to be one of the most strict article sites but does this make it the best ?

RE: Links on the same keyword

RE: Links on the same keyword

link these keywords from one blog post or article to that one page ? So these three keywords linked from one article.

RE: Links on the same keyword
good tip on the company name I have made some adjustments on some incoming links.
One example I want to put to you guys -
I have a blog article and I link the words -
printer ink
ink cartridges
and printer ink cartridges to the same page. Is this advised or would you not do more than one link to the same page. I welcome your opinions.
Thanks
