Bullet Points or Full Sentences

We are a furniture retailer and are currently looking at redesigning the website. Would it have an effect on SEO if the product descriptions were turned into bullet points and if the length of text on each page was shortened?

Absolutely agree with Egol. This might not help with the SEO per se, but such a big SEO factor is how happy people are on the page itself. You might find by adding important bullets that you retain someone for longer, make them want to read further and then go on to make a purchase.
Make the pages as good as is possible.

Agree with the other two comments. I would add: Use bullet points to highlight key features and benefits. Use complete sentences to describe the product.

Amazon gives sellers five bullet points at the top of the product page, then a couple hundred words down below.
We changed many of our retail pages to 1) a two or three sentence sales pitch; 2) several bullets (as many as needed); 3) an article format description that might include additional photos, the most commonly asked questions about the product.

What you need to consider is search intent. Can you inform or educate the potential customers with bullet points? Do the bullet points answer all questions. If not then use full sentences. Shortened page may see a dip in SEO if the content no longer answers the users search intent. Be very careful when changing content or shortening content. Make sure you express all the reasons why the searcher landed on the page to begin within the shortened content. Are you shortening to remove fluff?

Should I Change My Blog Permalinks to Remove The Date
Hi All Thank you in advance for any help. Last year a website was moved to multisite and the permalinks for the blog posts were changed to include a category, the year, the month and day. As a result most of the page URL's are flagged as too long. A number of the pages are receiving good traffic, so my question is whether just to leave them as they are or to change the permalinks? Multiple menu items pointing to same page
I have an automotive dealer as a client. The primary nav has a finance menu item, which (of course) points to the finance related pages. He just requested that I add a finance link item, as child menu items, under the new and used car nav items. Now, this is wrong for a host of reasons, what is the best way to communicate to this to him? I mean, I see this as a usability issue, it's wrong thematically, we would end up having 3 links pointing to the same page. Would this classify as dupe content?

Google is now showing menus on select searches. Any idea how they are getting this information? I would like to make sure my clients get visibility this way.

Bullet points good or bad for seo?

Is it ok to use the H1 tag for bullet points?
Our search results page doesn't have a typical H1 tag because adding a true header would take up space unnecessarily. Therefore, we've assigned the h1 tag to be the breadcrumb. As filters are applied, the breadcrumb grows to include these filters. This breadcrumb is coded as bullet points, even though they're not the typical style of bullet points. Should I use bold for the first few sentences of a text?
I would like to know if anyone knew if the relevance of a page changes if I bold the first few sentences. Our journalist wants to bold the first few sentences in every article to make it easier to read, how does that affect SEO?
