The time it takes for Google to crawl a site can vary depending on several factors. Google uses sophisticated algorithms to determine how frequently to crawl a site and how much of the site's content to crawl. Generally, smaller and less frequently updated sites might be crawled more quickly, while larger and more frequently updated sites might take longer.

Additionally, factors like the site's server speed, the number of pages, the complexity of the site's structure, and the server's response time can all impact how quickly Google crawls a site. Google also prioritizes sites based on various factors like the site's authority, relevance, and user demand.

While there is no fixed time frame for Google to crawl a single site, it typically aims to keep its index up to date and ensure that the most relevant content is available to users. If you have concerns about the crawl rate of your site, you can try optimizing your site's structure, improving server speed, and generating fresh and relevant content to potentially encourage more frequent crawling.

Recently I am experiencing a lot of deindexing and indexing randomly, what could be the reason and solution?

For faster indexing, the following conditions must be met:

            • The content is thick enough for the google bot to understand the website
            • Make sure the onpage optimization is good enough for the google bot to go through the pages according to the anchor text
            • Website needs to have trust and be identified on google.
When the website was ranked as high as the top 3 of the big keywords, within 2 hours the content was indexed.

You could do "site:yoururl.com" in google search to see what's indexed in Google.

Update frequency, i.e how many times your updating, and value of the website for google.  Ive seen my own website being crawled daily at some point.

It just indexes your pages. That could be done in less then a minute if it wanted. If you have everything structured with for example an up to date sitemap, no 404's or anything then your good to go really. Crawl speed is a factor on how much time it spends on the website. Crawl speed is mandatory when google is requesting alot of pages at the same time that could slow it down, or be triggered by a firewall for having too much connections at the same time.

Really these things are usually something from the past. If you want a quick index throw in a link on social media for example or get a quality link from some other place that's indexed more often.

If you update your website 'frequently' the crawler will be more there, if you dont update your website frequently the crawler will slowly back down. Ive had a client's website not updated in perhaps 2 years. We installed a complete new website with new content and it took months for it to be completely re-indexed.

My Friend, It is different with each website and its different every day.

You can see it in 2 ways.

                              1. By setting up and checking your server logs.

                              2. Google is showing you  how many pages they crawled each day and how long it took them  in the Crawl Stats chart in Search Consol (Legacy tools)

I wish you all the best!

                                Google Cache

So, when I gain a link I always check to see if the page that is linking is in the Google cache. I've noticed recently that more and more pages are actually not showing up in Google's cache, yet still appear in search results. I did read an article from someone whoo works at Google a few weeks back that there is sometimes an error with the cache and occasionally the cache will not display. This week, my own website isn't showing up in the cache yet I'm still ranking in SERP's. I'm not worried about it, mostly whitehat, but has there been any indication that Google are phasing out the ability to check cache's of websites?

Moving established :COM site to a .ART domain

Hi! We have an existing website that has a .com TLD with our brand name, which is completely unrelated to any of the terms we want to rank for except for the brand search of our company of course. We have an online shop and the .com site has been online for a good few years. The business activity is related to art, in fact some of our customers would search for   "name of artists + art" and we appear in results. From what I have read, Google is not going to give better rankings for a .art domain name, but will the extension be counted as a potential keyword and relevancy to users searches based on example above? Does anyone have any experience with regards to this consideration? Thanks!

Does Google ignores page title suffix?

Hi all, It's a common practice giving the "brand name" or "brand name & primary keyword" as suffix on EVERY page title. Well then it's just we are giving "primary keyword" across all pages and we expect "homepage" to rank better for that "primary keyword". Still Google ranks the pages accordingly? How Google handles it? The default suffix with primary keyword across all pages will be ignored or devalued by Google for ranking certain pages? Or by the ranking of website improves for "primary keyword" just because it has been added to all page titles?

Using Google to find a discontinued product.

Hi Guys. I mostly use this forum for business questions, but now it's a personal one! I'm trying to find a supplier that might still have discontinued product.  It's the Behritone C5A speaker monitor. All my searches bring up a plethora of pages that appear to sell the product... but they have no stock. (Wouldn't removing these pages make for a better internet?)  No 2nd hand ones on eBay 😞 Do you have any suggestion about how I can get more relevant results... i.e find supplier that might still have stock?  Any tips or trick I may be able to use to help me with this? Many thanks in advance to an awesome community 🙂 Isaac.

Is it a good idea to 301 redirect one same niche site towards another site for seo benefit

Hello friends, I have 2 android niche sites, one site is running on a technology dropped domain i catch 1 year ago it has, almost 400+ domains linking to different parts of the site, the other one i established from scratch and both are running from jan 2015. Now i want to redirect first site which already has 400 links pointing towards it to the home page of my 2nd android site. Is it a good idea to do so and does it give any boost in terms of seo?

US domain pages showing up in Google UK SERP

Hi, Our website which was predominantly for UK market was setup with a .com extension and only two years ago other domains were added - US (.us) , IE (.ie), EU (.eu) & AU (.com.au) Last year in July, we noticed that few .us domain urls were showing up in UK SERPs and we realized the sitemap for .us site was incorrectly referring to UK (.com) so we corrected that and the .us domain urls stopped appearing in the SERP. Not sure if this actually fixed the issue or was such coincidental. However in last couple of weeks more than 3 .us domain urls are showing for each brand search made on Google UK and sometimes it replaces the .com results all together. I have double checked the PA for US pages, they are far below the UK ones. Has anyone noticed similar behaviour &/or could anyone please help me troubleshoot this issue? Thanks in advance, R

Where can I find a breakdown of google search volume by specific industry/vertical? For example, what % of people searching in google are looking for housing? Cars? Restaurants?

I"m looking for specific breakdowns of search volume in google by: #1 Vertical (Shopping/restaurants/Services etc). For example, how many people are searching in google for information pertaining to restaurants per month? Search volume for all of 2012, 2013, 2014? #2 More granular categories within verticals, people searching for: books, apartment rentals, cellphones) Is there a breakdown of google search somewhere online that gives this type of information? Thank you MOZ community, really appreciate it!

Rankings changing every couple of MINUTES in Google?

We've been experiencing some unusual behaviour in the Google.co.uk SERPs recently... Basically, the ranking of some of our websites for certain keywords appears to be changing by the minute. For example, doing a search for "our keyword" might show us at #20. Then a few minutes later, doing the same search shows us at #14, and then the same search a few minutes later shows us at #26, and then sometimes we're not ranked at all, etc etc. I know the algorithm changes a lot, but does it really change every couple of minutes? Has anyone else experienced this kind of behaviour in the SERPs? What could be causing it to happen?
