I am working on a schema markup project. When I test the schema code in the Schema Markup Validator, everything looks fine, no errors detected. However, when I test it in the Rich Results Test, a few errors come back.
What is the difference between these two tests? Should I trust one over the other? -

I have used schema for internet packaging website and I found usful.Should you trust one over the other? It depends on your goals:

@Hazellucy I will create the different Schemas for my movies related website. I will use the Rich result test tool that is work for me. But that is depend on you which one you want to use for creating schema code. Rich result is google official tool. So I recommend you to use this one.

The primary difference between the Schema Markup Validator and the Rich Results Test from Google is that the Rich Result test is restricted to testing only the markup of structured data that's used in Google's results for the search. However, the Schema.org markup validation is more intended for "general purposes" and is geared towards debugging various other types of structured data in addition to the ones that Google supports.
Currently Google supports only a limited number of Schema Markups that includes:
Article, Breadcrumb, Carousel, Course, COVID-19 Announcements, Dataset, Employer, Aggregate Rating, Estimated Salary, Event, Fast Check, FAQ, Home Activities, How-To, Image License, Job Posting, Job Training, Local Business, Logo, Math Solvers, Movie, Practice Problems, Product, Q&A, Recipe, Review Snippet, Sitelinks, Search Box, Software App, Speakable, Video, Subscription and Paywalled Content, Article / Blog Posting, etc.This means that the markup validator may be showing that there are no issues with the way your schema is written syntactically, but Google may still have an issue generating a particular type of search result based on that schema.
Both of the tools can still be used for better SEO and achieving featured results in the SERPs. The Rich Result Testing tool doesn’t offer the code editing option though, so the Schema Markup Validator tool can come in handy for troubleshooting any Schema markup issues.
There are a number of Data Types supported by the Google Rich Result Testing Tool for existing Schema Libraries supported by Google and those Data Types can be used when testing different types of the Schema markup through Schema Markup validator tool.

The primary difference between the two tools is that the Rich Results Test shows what types of Google results can be generated from your markup, whereas the schema markup validator offers generic schema validation. So the markup validator may be showing that there are no issues with the way your schema is written syntactically, but Google may still have an issue generating a particular type of search result based on that schema.
Be sure to take a close look at the errors the Rich Results Test is throwing, as some are more like warnings - not every aspect of the schema is necessary in order for Google to generate a rich result, but obviously if there's a particular piece of the markup that's missing (i.e. In-Stock status), it won't be included in that result.

Anyone come accross a completely random site name displayed in the SERPs?
Hello SEO friends, I am looking at a site that has a completely random site name displayed in the serps. The site in question is a hypnotherapy service and the site name is displaying as a commercial cargo airline! See the screen shot. Any ideas? Unsolved MozBar says no schema.org markup when it exists and validates elsewhere
I have added schema.org markup to many pages on my site (e.g https://discoverquotes.com/wisdom/) - since it is a quote site I marked up all the quotations - it validates with schema.org - but when I use MozBar and look at Page Analysis-->Markup the moz bar says I have no schema.org markup. Is this something Moz only updates periodically? If so, anyone know how often they update? or any ideas why moz bar is reporting a false negative?

Unsolved Duplicate LocalBusiness Schema Markup
Hello! I've been having a hard time finding an answer to this specific question so I figured I'd drop it here. I always add custom LocalBusiness markup to clients' homepages, but sometimes the client's website provider will include their own automated LocalBusiness markup. The codes I create often include more information. Assuming the website provider is unwilling to remove their markup, is it a bad idea to include my code as well? It seems like it could potentially be read as spammy by Google. Do the pros of having more detailed markup outweigh that potential negative impact?

Hi, I have a call with a potential client tomorrow where all I know is that they are wigged-out about canonicalization, indexing and architecture for their three sites: m.ExampleSite.com mobile.ExampleSite.com ExampleSite.com The sites are pretty large... 350k for the mobiles and 5 million for the main site. They're a retailer with endless products. They're main site is not mobile-responsive, which is evidently why they have the m and mobile sites. Why two, I don't know. This is how they currently hand this: What would you suggest they do about this? The most comprehensive fix would be making the main site mobile responsive and 301 the old mobile sub domains to the main site. That's probably too much work for them. So, what more would you suggest and why? Your thoughts? Best... Mike P.S., Beneath my hand-drawn portrait avatar above it says "Staff" at this moment, which I am not. Some kind of bug I guess.

Schema.org on Product Page showing strange result if you post url in google
Hi All, We have implemented Schema.org for our products and currently if you put the url in google, the results showing up are not the meta description but some of the schema.org content along with some other rubbish at the bottom . Why are these results being showed as blocked by robots.txt?
If you perform this search, you'll see all m. results are blocked by robots.txt: http://goo.gl/PRrlI, but when I reviewed the robots.txt file: http://goo.gl/Hly28, I didn't see anything specifying to block crawlers from these pages. Any ideas why these are showing as blocked?

Question about Google Search Results
I have a question regarding google search results. I have a website www.911signalusa.com when you type this into google search box the URL comes up repeatedly. I have several competitors here is one of them www.emergencycity.com when you type in their name it only come up as the first result. How did our SEO guys make this happen? I have another site tha when we type in the URL it only comes up as the first result. However when you do site:www.------.com All of these site are indexed in Google. It is not causing any problem we knoe of but it appears to me that our 1 site has it better? Or is it that maybe there are very minimal links to the site? Thank you for your time and consideration in answering my quesiton.

Schema markup in SERP in s ome languages but not in English. Any suggestions?
I have schema markup on a category page and on a product page on a website in 10 languages. Product page markup is showing in google SERP in all languages (both star rating, number of votes). Category page markup is showing very inconsistently. For English google SERP do not pick it up at all. For Spanish and German they are showing completely in SERP (votes, minimum price), for other languages, just part of makrup (minimum price) is shown in google SERP. In rich snippet tool they show up correctly in all languages. Any suggestion what can be done to get schema of category page picked up more consistently? Any experience of other markup formats than schema being picked up better? Thanks
