-
Hi there,
I could use your help with something. Last week, I submitted my sitemap in the search console to improve my website's visibility on Google. Unfortunately, I got an error message saying that Google is not reading my sitemap.
I'm not sure what went wrong. Could you take a look at my site (OceanXD.org) and let me know if there's anything I can do to fix the issue? I would appreciate your help.
Thank you so much!

It can be a few days up to months, depending on if you submit for indexing or do external linking. You'd be surprised how many natural sites don't ever get indexed, and the owner wonders "why dont i get any leads?" lol My newest site ProClean Partners was submitted the day it was completed.

For the domain yacht rental ibiza it took around 4-10 working days until the sitemap was visible and loaded

Hi, you can submit a new sitemap directly via Google Search Console- once the site map has been crawled and indexed by Googlebot, you may see your organic SEO improve.
-
Google typically reads your sitemap within a few days of submission. However, indexing may vary depending on site size, crawl budget, and Google's prioritization algorithms. Updates typically appear in search results within 1-2 weeks.
-
The time it takes for Google to read a sitemap can vary depending on factors like website size and server speed. Generally, Google aims to crawl and index sitemaps within a few hours to a few days.
-
You can use a free WordPress SEO plugin, like Yoast, if your using WordPress? Then you can simply paste the site map link into your Google Search Console, over night Google, should index your site map, and then you can see if your organic SEO improves does this help?

The time it takes for Google to read and process a sitemap can vary, and there isn't a specific timeframe that applies universally. However, Google typically aims to index new content and updates as quickly as possible. Here are some factors that can influence how soon Google reads a sitemap:
-
Frequency of Updates: If your website regularly publishes new content or updates existing pages, Google may crawl your sitemap more frequently.
-
Crawl Budget: Google allocates a crawl budget to each website, determining how often its bots will crawl the site. Popular and authoritative sites often have a higher crawl budget, leading to more frequent crawls.
-
Server Response Time: A fast server response time helps Google's crawlers efficiently process and index your sitemap.
-
Significance of Changes: If your sitemap contains significant changes or new content, Google might prioritize crawling it sooner.
-
Google Search Console: You can use Google Search Console to submit your sitemap and monitor its indexing status. This tool provides insights into when Google last crawled your site and whether there were any issues.
-
XML Sitemap Ping: Google provides a ping service where you can notify them of changes to your sitemap. However, note that using this service doesn't guarantee an immediate crawl, as Google still determines the crawling schedule based on various factors.
While there is no fixed time frame, Google usually aims to index content promptly. Keep in mind that changes to your website may not instantly reflect in search results, and it might take some time for Google to process and index new content. Regularly monitoring your site's performance in Google Search Console can help you understand how quickly Google is crawling and indexing your sitemap. check;https://bammtech.com/en/blackcore-solutions/

The time it takes for Google to read and process a sitemap can vary. Google uses crawlers (bots) to discover and index web pages, and the frequency with which it crawls your site can depend on various factors:
-
Frequency Settings in Sitemap:
- If you have specified a change frequency in your sitemap, Google may adjust its crawling frequency based on that information. However, Google doesn't strictly follow these indications.
-
Website Popularity and Activity:
- Popular and frequently updated websites are often crawled more frequently by Google's bots.
-
Crawl Budget:
- Google allocates a crawl budget to each website based on factors like site quality, performance, and historical crawling patterns. The crawl budget determines how often Googlebot crawls your site.
-
Robots.txt and Meta Robots Tags:
- If your site has restrictions in the robots.txt file or meta robots tags, it can affect how often Googlebot crawls your pages.
-
Server Response Time:
- The server's response time can influence how quickly Google can crawl your site. Faster servers generally lead to more efficient crawling.
-
Backlink Profile:
- Websites with a robust backlink profile may get crawled more frequently.
-
Changes and Updates:
- If you make significant changes to your website, Google may prioritize crawling to index the updated content.
-
Google Search Console:
- You can use Google Search Console to manually request indexing for specific URLs or to check the indexing status of your sitemap.
It's essential to note that while you can submit a sitemap to Google, the search engine determines its crawling schedule based on various factors. Generally, Googlebot is designed to discover and crawl new content efficiently.
If you've made updates to your site and want to ensure that Google is aware of them, you can use tools like Google Search Console to monitor indexing status and request a re-crawl if needed. Keep in mind that changes may not be immediately reflected in search results, and it may take some time for Google to process and index new content. check;https://bammtech.com/en/blackcore-solutions/

@peytonjoise767 Thank your for providing such information

It's not just about reading sitemap:
Google's process involves discovering, crawling, and indexing your sitemap. "Reading" is just one step.
Check the following
- You are submitting the right XML sitemap
- XML sitemap URL is accessible on browser
- In any case any plugin or any other thing not restricting the google bots in accessing the website

The time it takes for Google to read and process a sitemap can vary. Generally, Google strives to crawl and index new content quickly, and it often depends on the size of your website, the frequency of updates, and the overall crawl budget allocated to your site.
For smaller websites with regularly updated content, Google may crawl and process the sitemap within a few hours to a day. Larger websites with extensive content might take a bit longer, ranging from a few days to a couple of weeks.
It's important to note that submitting a sitemap through Google Search Console does not guarantee an immediate crawl or indexing. Google's algorithms prioritize content based on various factors, including relevance and quality.
I hope your query was answered and if so i am glad i was off help

The time it takes for Google to read and process a sitemap can vary based on various factors such as the size of the sitemap, the frequency of updates, and the overall crawl budget allocated to your website by Google. In general, Google aims to crawl and process sitemaps promptly, often within a few days to a week after submission.
However, it's important to note that Google doesn't guarantee immediate indexing or crawling of all URLs listed in a sitemap. Some URLs may be prioritized over others based on various factors such as the authority of your website, the relevance of the content, and the frequency of updates.
If you've submitted a sitemap to Google Search Console, you can check the status of your sitemap and monitor indexing progress over time. Keep in mind that regularly updating and maintaining your sitemap can help ensure that Google crawls and indexes your website's content efficiently.

Organic Listings showing Google Tag Manager + Google Page Title...?
I'm a bit stumped with this. I optimise all my titles etc for Australia - and now the organic liatings are showing something strange. For example ( we sell health supplements ) Meta title = "My Product , Buy Online Australia" If I type "My Product" - the title in the organic listings says "My Product - My Company Limited" - and the only place I can see it getting that from is a combination of Meta Data used in Google Tag Manager + the Name on my Google places page. This is much more obvious for categories.. but it's a pain in the butt. If I type "My Product Australia" Then the original "My Product , Buy Online Australia" comes up. Any ideas on policy etc? I have taken the "Limited" off the Google business page - so hopefully this will change over time - but I can't find any information on why google would do something like this. If you had shed any light on this - would be much appreciated.

Not ranking in Google - why???
This will be a bit long, so please bare with me. I have a client in the auto parts industry who wants to rank their homepage for 13 different keywords. We are ranked first page for all keywords in Yahoo! Mexico and Bing Mexico, but not ranking first page at all in Google Mexico. My client's competitor, however, is clearly outranking my client in Google. When comparing both pages, my client's, while not 100% optimized, looks better optimized than their competitor's. Looking at all metrics using Moz, SEMRush, ahrefs, etc... my client's site looks MUCH better on all fronts. I know ranking a single homepage for more than 10 keywords is a difficult task. Our competitor is however, ranking for them, so it's not impossible. The keywords are not even that competitive according to Moz's analysis. I decided to create an optimized page for each keyword to try to rank these pages, but still my client wants the homepage to rank (again, if the competitor is ranking, then it's possible to do this) and I am afraid these pages I created could result in keyword cannibalization ultimately affecting the homepage's possibility to rank. My client had a previous SEO agency working for them and basically all they did was create fake blogs and have lots of keyword rich links directed to the site's homepage. I got the complete link profile from several tools and submitted a disavow requests for as many fishy links I could find, but that hasn't shown any results so far. Note: when looking at the competitor link profile, they have basically just a few links and no external links of real value whatsoever. My client is obviously very frustrated, and so am I. In my SEO experience, it shouldn't be such a difficult task to accomplish, however nothing seems to work even though everything seems to point that my client should rank higher. So now I'm running out of ideas regarding what to do with this site. Any insight you could provide would be SO helpful to me and my client. If needed I can provide my client's homepage URL and also their competitors homepage for you to review. i can also give you any extra information you need. Thanks a lot!

How does google count a menu on each page
Hello, Just wondering how google treats the TOp and bottom menu that you see on each page of a website ? Does it count it on all the pages in terms of link juice, or is it just there for user experience and only what it counts are the links in the content of a page or on the side ? Thank you,

How long does it take before URL's are removed from Google?
Hello, I recently changed our websites url structures removing the .html at the end. I had about 55 301's setup from the old url to the new. Within a day all the new URL's were listed in Google, but the old .html ones still have not been removed a week later. Is there something I am missing? Or will it just take time for them to get de-indexed? As well, so far the Page Authority hasn't transfered from the old pages to the new, is this typical? Thanks!
