Organic traffic down

My 15 or so clients have all seen a drop in organic traffic by about 20% on GA4 for April. Rankings have not dropped or anything like that - so just wondering if anyone else has had similar?

@Favazmubarak I have the same problem. Traffic to the ByTure site has been zero for the last three months. Initially, 1000-1500 visitors were coming daily. I have tried all kinds, but failed. If anyone has a solution, please let me know.

Hi everyone,
I need some help with an issue I've been experiencing with Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Since May 13th, my website's traffic has dropped by 60% according to GA4. However, there has been no change in the ranking of my pages, and there is no impact reflected in Google Search Console either.
Specifically, the traffic for two pages has dropped to zero. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, or can someone help me technically check these pages to identify what might be causing this problem?

If your businesses organic traffic is down, you should check if this was a sudden drop or not, if it was, check to see if your business possibly has an algorithmic or a manual penalty? If your website, has a penalty, do contact an Seo company for advice.
-
To address a drop in organic traffic across multiple clients without a corresponding decrease in rankings, consider conducting a thorough technical audit of their websites to identify any underlying issues affecting performance. Ensure that content quality is high and optimized for relevant keywords, and assess the backlink profile for quality and authority. Stay informed about recent algorithm updates and adjust SEO strategies accordingly. Focus on improving user experience, particularly in terms of site navigation and readability. Implement local SEO tactics if applicable and develop a content marketing strategy to attract organic traffic through valuable content. By addressing these areas, you can potentially mitigate the drop in organic traffic and improve overall website performance for your clients.

@Contentcoms Have you checked the Google Search Console reports? This is the only way to get an accurate picture of Organic traffic in my view as it eliminates tracking issues. GA4 and privacy/cookies/GDPR stuff mean less data is being processed in there all the time, so it's possible that traffic isn't actually down, but you're just seeing less reported. Check Search Console and see if the trend is the same or different - that will give you the answer.

me too and I don't know what's going on if anyone can manually audit my website https://lunaksa.com/
Thanks in advance -
This could be the "Google Helpful Content Update", so, it could it be, that after this update, that the blog posts are not getting as many organic visitors? We say this because, we own garden building company, had this problem, after the update, of the organic traffic decreased to some of the blog posts, effecting our sales.

It sounds like you're experiencing a widespread drop in organic traffic across multiple clients, despite stable rankings. This could indicate a broader trend rather than individual issues with each website. Here are some potential reasons why this might be happening:
Algorithm Updates: Search engine algorithms are constantly evolving, and even minor updates can have a significant impact on organic traffic. It's possible that a recent algorithm update affected the visibility of your clients' websites in search results.
Seasonal Variations: Changes in organic traffic can sometimes be attributed to seasonal fluctuations in search behavior. Depending on your clients' industries or target audiences, certain times of the year may see higher or lower search volumes.
Competitive Landscape: Increased competition in your clients' industries could be driving down organic traffic as other websites gain visibility in search results. Keep an eye on your clients' competitors to see if they are experiencing similar trends.
Technical Issues: Although you mentioned that rankings have not dropped, it's still worth checking for any technical issues that could be affecting organic traffic. This includes issues like website downtime, server errors, or crawlability issues that may not directly impact rankings but can still affect traffic.
Changes in User Behavior: Shifts in user behavior, such as changes in search queries or preferences, could also influence organic traffic patterns. Stay attuned to your clients' target audiences and how their search habits may be evolving over time.
Tracking or Reporting Issues: Ensure that your tracking setup in Google Analytics (GA4) is accurate and that there are no issues with data collection or reporting. Sometimes discrepancies in tracking settings or data sampling can lead to misleading insights.
External Factors: External factors such as industry trends, economic conditions, or global events may also impact organic traffic patterns. Consider whether any external factors could be influencing search behavior within your clients' industries.
If none of these explanations seem to apply, it might be worth reaching out to other professionals in your industry or community to see if they have experienced similar drops in organic traffic. Sharing insights and collaborating with others can often shed light on broader trends and help identify potential solutions.

GA4 account & property not showing in traffic property setup list.
Hi there, I've connected multiple client accounts to GA4 already, but three of our accounts that we have administrator rights to in GA4 are not showing up in our selectable accounts/properties list when logged in via Moz to add to the traffic settings area. Anyone else have this issue and find a fix?

GA traffic locations must be wrong? Most hits from a state we don't do business in!
I launched a website earlier this year. Very limited traffic, 200-300 a month. It is an info site for a specialized business. However, when I review my GA traffic reports, 20% of our traffic comes from one city in Virginia. (although the company does business in many states, it does not in Virginia) or anything close. The bounce rate is 97%! Could it be a web scraper or some kind of redirect?

Does sending ecom traffic away from a site impact rankings?
I have a client that represents a few big brands but doesn't offer ecommerce capability onsite, they essentially send traffic to retailers and distributors that do sell their products online - they even point to an amazon store that they own. My question is, if they did offer ecom and the conversions took place on their site, rather than direct traffic away from them, would this impact on their rankings at all?

Tracking goals on a subdomain with traffic coming from main domain subfolders. Mission Impossible?
Hello guys, I'm facing a huge challenge setting my goals. Here is the situation. I'm having the same Universal Analytics code on my main domain with different languages www.example.com/en/, www.examples.com/fr/, etc and my www.shop.example.com subdomain. So a French user will go to www.example.com/fr/, see a product that want's to buy and after the registration will see a thank you page on www.shop.example.com/success.html, and here comes the problem. My goal URLs are not "fired" with my filter. I have set up a filter (attached) to include traffic only for the desired profiles, but when this filter is on I can't see conversions. When the filter is off I can see conversions but for all languages. Any ideas how to set up the filter properly? Thank you! Filter.png

New e-commerce launched, drop in traffic
One of our clients launched a new e-commerce site and there was a significant (60%) drop in traffic in Google Analytics following the launch. We are about 10 days into the new site, and our suspicion is that the move has caused a decrease in their site authority which has lowered their search position. The old site had the store at sitename.com/store. The new site has a Shopify store at shop.sitename.com. There were very few external followed links to the store pages, so we thought that there would be little effect for overall site traffic by moving the store to a subdomain. Any recommendations for next steps on diagnosing the problem and working towards a solution?

Tips for migrating Google News traffic?
We are about to relaunch a site that gets a lot of Google News traffic. We are not changing domain, but the site structure is changing greatly, with the URLs of both news index pages and articles being shaken up. Obviously, we've 301-ed every page to its closest equivalent on the new site. We've also got a news sitemap. As we are not changing domain, is there anything further we need to do to help protect our Google News traffic. On a related note, does anyone have a relaible way of measuring traffic from Google News listings in universal search?

Organic bounce rate after site re-launch
3 months ago a client of mine re-launched theoir web site (after having a lot of work done on it). Since then, many of the SEO indications are good - more non-paid keywords sending search visits, more organic visits overall, more URLs receiving entrances via search, etc. The issue is that their bounce rate has been increasing pretty much EVERY week since. Has anyone seen a similar issue and what could a potential solution be for this? Thanks everyone!

Traffic dropped 75% - Panda 2 Penalized?
Hello everyone, My e-commerce website traffic dropped by 75% overnight, on April 12th. The website has been around since 2003 and growing every year. Over the years gained some great placement for some competitive keywords and stayed on page 1 for some time. After the Panda update, some of our major keywords dropped from page 1 to page 10. The first Panda update had a slightly negative effect on us, by bumping up all the brand's websites (brands we carry) placing the brands in the first couple positions (giving them 2-3 first spots) pushing us down. However, the Panda 2 killed us. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on my situation. Did anyone ever have luck or would recommend contacting Google, and asking them for advise or reasons why the site was dropped. The website in question is www.instyleswimwear.com Thanks in advance,
