Has anyone used Fat Joe as an outsource solution for blog links?
-
Hi guys,
I have seen a company on social media a lot recently who offer a guest blog posting service. It seems to be reasonable quality from the reviews and the blurb they give as they at least seem to find you a relevant blogger to match up with, actually write good content with as many reviews as is needed and then post it to just that one page.
I noticed on their site they have claimed that their service is Loved by Moz but I couldn't find any reference to them anywhere on the Moz site.
My question is - has anyone used them and are the links going to be any good for my site?
-
Their content is mediocre at best. Lot's of grammar and spelling errors from a supposedly us/uk staff.

Hey Matthew,
As Keri mentioned below, we have no affiliation or special arrangement with Moz, the logo was intended to reference our post on YouMoz. This has now been rectified, sorry about any confusion caused there!
In regards to whether our services will be good for your site, we assume you are talking about our flagship service, Blogger Outreach.
Put simply, we outreach to genuine websites and make content placements, relevant to your target website. We wrote a post explaining some of the ways you can go about blogger outreach, some of which we use ourselves:
http://fatjoe.co/blogger-outreach-hacks/ - This should give you a good insight on how to find opportunitiesPutting the link building moral debate aside, how effective/safe these links are will depend on your overall strategy. This may be something an SEO agency or consultancy can help you with.
Hope this helps.

Hey Keri,
The Loved by Moz was an oversight by our web designer and was intended to be a reference to our YouMoz post as you quite rightly mentioned above. Sorry for any inconvenience caused!
-
Thank you guys, so glad I put this message up now. I think this is a case to give them a miss, if the Moz loves us claim is bogus then there's no way of knowing what else they claim isn't true.
Thanks for your help, Travis and Keri

That's probably your queue to run away screaming. Guest blogging for the sake of guest blogging is a very bad idea these days. You might also want to mention that 'Loved by Moz' bit to someone at Moz. They can confirm or deny. Whoops, they just did.
http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/guest-blogging/
That's not to say all guest blogging is dead per se, but guest blogging for ABC plumbing company on alllandscapersseolinks4all.com is dead.
Here's a semi-fictional scenario:
Internet Guy A walks up to Internet Guy B and says; "Hey, for some reason I don't want to post this on my own deal, but I think your audience would really benefit from my words. What do you say?"
And Internet Guy B says; "Cool bro, much trust. I know you'll behave yourself and be excellent - Wyld Stallyns 4 eva!"
Then Internet Guy B would be vouching for Internet Guy A. Everybody's p-toot is on the line and the honor system, with editorial control on Internet Guy B's part. So long as Internet Guy A or Internet Guy B aren't offering a material incentive for the post and everyone follows the bajillion other rules, some unwritten, everybody is cool.
But what you're talking about seems to be scary and you may want to think twice. Do you really know who you're getting into 'link bed' with? You don't until it happens. In the real world, that takes an inordinate amount of vodka. If you've had one of those nights, you know it isn't pretty.

Thanks for pointing this out. It appears that a YouMoz post was made a year ago by someone working for Fat Joe, and is referenced at http://fatjoe.co/blogger-outreach/#buzz. To the best of my knowledge, they have no special arrangement with of us any type, and I will have our legal department reach out regarding the use of the logo on the front page.

Back link from site with DA of 72 to a website domain. Clicking on the link redirects to our website not the attended one.
Hi,
Link Building | | JIMBO16
I've ran a back link check and discovered a good back link to a site which then gets redirected back to my company's website. I have a feeling that an old SEO agency has purchased a small website which has a decent link back from a relevant organisation with a high Domain authority and then redirects the domain to our website to get the link juice. What are your thought on this? Is this really bad practise and possibly damaging? Thanks, Jim0 -
Is it okay to post my blog posts to both an internal blog on our domain and an external blog?
We have a blog internally at kay-grant.com/blog and also created an external blog at ActiveRain.com Is it okay to post the same blog posts to both sites or should I have different content for each blog?

Linksmanagement.com anyone use it?
linksmanagement.com anyone use it? I have seen reviews up and down just wondering if they are safe. Seems pretty simple you pay for the sites you want to be on. I assume the fees are monthly.

Link Detox and Link Removal
I have a question about which links to remove after running a link detox from Link Research Tools. First a little back story. I had had an SEO company link building for one of the websites I own. But I have recently stopped working with them. In the last month my rankings have near dropped off the charts. I have just recently gotten access to Google webmaster tools and noticed an unnatural link warning from back in March. So yesterday I ran link detox and it reported 19 toxic links, 120 suspicious links, and 24 healthy links. It's rather obvious that I should remove all of the toxic links. They all from sites that have been deindexed by google. But my question is a about the suspicious links. What should my criteria be for removing them? Am I better off removing them all and leaving my site with only 24 healthy links or should I personally comb through them and remove only the worst of the worst so that I leave my site with a few more links? I'd really like to get the site ready to resubmit to google as soon as I can. Thoughts? yyCOf.png

Are you using ArticleBase.com for link building?
I'm digging my way through my competitors' link profiles on OSE and came across one that had been using a site called ArticleBase.com Apparently you can publish articles for free and browse other published articles for usage on your own site (provided you follow their TOS). It actually seems like a nifty idea. I'm wondering if anyone has utilized this site for re-publishing content and building external links. Worth the effort? Thanks!

Blog commenting
I have been doing a little bit of testing in regards to blog commenting on high authority blogs that no follow comments. The comments have all been manual and added value to the blog. I have noticed quite a big jump in rankings for some keywords. I was wondering if anyone else has a view on the effectiveness of these links when combined with other link building methods?
