How To Change Image Used In Business Knowledge Graph...

How can one change the image that Google shows in a business' knowledge graph in the SERPs?
And the image I am referring to is the one that typically appears to the left of the map within the knowledge graph box, above the business' name.
The current image that is being used in my client's case is an image that was uploaded in their Google+ My Business profile, but there doesn't appear to be any particular reason why that one was chosen (it wasn't the first or last image uploaded, nor is it selected as the profile picture).
As user-interaction increasingly becomes important in rankings, I would like to change this to something more attractive.

I would just remove the one photo that you don't want to see there and leave a bunch in that you would be ok with. That's what I'm doing. I've been scouring the internet to see what would make Google choose one over another but I can't seem to find anything. Weird…
The only other idea I had was maybe it is dependent upon what the image file is named?? Like if the image name is more relevant to the brand and search it would be chosen before something that was named something arbitrary, such as "logo-1.jpg"

So I too am aware of the "Map & Search Photos" section of GMB. In our case, one of the photos that was uploaded in this section is being used currently. However, there is no way of designating which one should be used as the main Knowledge Graph image on searches.
A lot of platforms use either the first or last image uploaded as the default image, but it appears the one that Google chose to use in our selection of photos we uploaded is one that was uploaded in the middle of all the others... in other words, it wasn't the first or last photo uploaded.
So in lieu of deleting everything and ONLY uploading the 1 photo you wish the knowledge graph to show (which isn't ideal), we are still left trying to figure out how to tell Google which image to use.

This is an interesting question… I did some exploring on my Google business page and researched what was showing up in the SERPs…turns out what's there isn't what I want either! So this is how I'm trying to fix it but I think it will take time to register changes…
On the left side drop down of my page I selected "My Business." On the dashboard there's two photos and next to it is a "+5" box that I assumed would bring me to all my photos when I clicked it. It brought me to a page with a pop up that said "Map & Search Photos… When a user searches for your business on Google Maps or Google Search, these photos will appear alongside the rest of your business information." It's here that you can add, edit, and delete what shows up!

What do I need to do for SEO when moving a business out of state?

I know that there are some weird sites that have my business info in them that I did not put there. Obviously these would have the wrong address. How do I rank for a different business categories on google local?
Hello, How do I appear on the local listings for google in different categories or services that I offer? For instance, we're a physical therapy clinic by trade but we specialize in orthopedics, sports medicine, and lower back pain. Thus, how do I rank on google local for these types of services? Currently, we rank for physical therapy but we also miss out on a big part of our business by not ranking for these listings on local. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Can having a google business listing harm a company selling services globally?
Hi, We are a SAAS platform offering cloud based solution for educators. We had a google business listing in India and recently added one for US as well. Our keywords rank significantly better in India than in US. Is it a good idea to remove these business listing? Can I use the same interior photos for multiple stores in Google My Business?
Hi, The company I work for has many store locations across the country. Getting good/quality interior pictures has become very difficult for us. We recently good a Virtual Tour from Google for one of the locations, and they took some really pictures. According to Google, the "Photos should represent the actual business" and "Represent the real-world business location". My question is: since our stores are VERY similar in the interior, can we use the same pictures for them while we get more pictures? Would Google penalize this? Thanks!

How do I rank inside the knowledge panel in the "people also search for" section?
Hello fellow Mozzers, In Google's knowledge panel there is a section at the bottom that says "people also search for" and a list of competitors is displayed. I'm hoping to get some information I can use to get my client listed there on top of the local organic results. The more SERP presence, the better. Attached image should provide clarity to those who are confused. I suspect I know the answer to this question, but since I can't find a source to verify my beliefs, I'm crowdsourcing. SEO - Should individual doctors at facility claim a Google My Business profile?
My client is a physician facility with several doctors practicing at the facility. When doing a Google search for some of their practices such as "family practice" one of the doctor's profiles will display in the Google Local pack - however it is not linked to the facility website where their profile exists. As of right now, we are using YEXT and other tools to claim Google Business Profiles for each practice, not the individual doctors. If there are unclaimed accounts for individual doctors, they are alerting Google that it’s a duplicate and should be taken down. Is this the right process to follow for SEO best practices or should we be claiming both the business and individual doctor profiles? The reason they are not claiming individual doctor profiles is to cut down on duplicate reviews as part of the Reputation Management Program. Advice much appreciated!

What To Do With Two Business Having The Same Name?
Hi friends, We have a client who is in a peculiar predicament... essentially his business and his biggest competitor share the same name. Officially on their business licenses they are differentiated by the year they were each established, but in all their marketing, on their website, and in the community they are both known by the exact same name. When the company name is searched for, the competitor shows up #1 organically with the map pin as well as in the knowledge graph, and our site shows up number 2 without any any map pin or Google+ page site link or anything. We thought we could differentiate ourselves by changing his Google+ page name to his official business name (with the date) and building a bunch of really good citations with that official business name, but we still haven't made a dent for his branded keyword, and our Google+ page site links aren't even showing up. Has anyone run into a situation like this and any suggestions?
