Should I use a coupon code in my ad copy?
-
It's been years since I've had a discount I could offer over PPC. I remember when I was a young search monkey, that companies would offer the coupon code directly in the ad copy. However, an inspection of ads on various queries, I don't see anyone doing this.
I want to, because of course a concrete offer should certainly help CTR right? But, not finding any referent examples of other companies using the coupon code freaks me out. Is there a drawback to posting the code directly?
-
you are correct. there was a bug and my questions weren't posting. thanks.

Im running a campaign for a coupon site, coupons are added and expire weekly. What are the most important factors you think I should focus on
Coupon sites are unique as the content is fluid, coupons expire weekly, categories have thin content but the main goal is to get the merchants Macy's, Target, Best Buy coupons and indexed. Im looking for advice on technical SEO that may be unique to feed and affiliate site, what to block in the robots.txt ie affiliate urls such as /go and /gostore and categories Any advice and passionate discussion is welcome...

Considering Using External Domain Name To Build Separate Community
We are currently working with a client who sells classic Chevy muscle car parts: www.classicmuscle.com. They also own OldMuscleCars.com which is being redirected to the classic muscle site. Through our remarketing efforts in Adwords, we've noticed a growing number of affiliate blogs/forums/auto community sites (ex: classiccars.com) where customers are hanging out and seeing our banner ads. Our thought is to potentially create a new community site centered around muscle cars in general (not just chevy which is CM's specialty) that can be used in part as a lead gen tool (banners and text links would lead back to the classic muscle site) as well as a platform to explore other highly sought after vehicles (potentially expand outside of current chevy models or into other brands like ford). My questions is what are the implications of creating a site like this and are there any concerns (ranking or otherwise) with linking back to the classic muscle site? We're already ranked well for a majority of our current target keywords so link juice is really a secondary motive to lead gen. Best regards, Ryan

Using Press Release For Promotion (PRWEB)?
I'm coming up on our year renewal for PRWEB and wanted to start a discussion with the MOZ Community on this one. I've used PR extensively over the past year and found it to be really hit and miss depending upon which category I used it for. I've combed the internet for help on this topic but have not really found anything pertaining specifically to PRWEB. Here's my situation. Right now we have a setup to be able to push out 4 highest level press releases every day. Currently they sort of work pretty well for the financial industry but I've not seen too much of a benefit in other industries. I also have a moral dilemma with the PR's, we have to put out a press release every day to have really any big impact on our own financial affiliate websites. This practice is not falling in line with "best practices" our business runs with for our clients and I feel like we just need to just cut the system and focus more on social promotion. So, What's your thoughts on PRWEB? Should I cut it? If not why? If so, what types of social promotion do you use that are really effective?

Banner Ads Without Getting Penalised?
Hi All, Basically I have 3-4 Biggish video autoblogs that I keep tabs on and they pull videos on my niche and are actually decent quality websites they are just autoblogs as they automatically get the youtube videos. The issue is that I want to advertise my brandnew site on them as I'm selling a service in the same niche. I know that nofollow will not pass rank and should be safe but what is the absolute safest way to put banner advertisements on these sites without being penalised? I'm wanting the advertisements for advertisement purposes not link building. I'm worried about getting 10k+ links from the same domain x4 and google not only noticing that but linking the fact I own all 5 sites.. Any help would be great. Thanks

Income potencial of a website from ad platforms in terms of the daily traffic?
Hello all, I would like to have an idea of the potential monthly income for traffic generation (I mean just for visits to the website and not considering the sales of any given product or service) in a website, in the case I am using ads&marketing platforms for ads diplays. I know it can be very variable, depending on sales achieved, leads generated,etc...but just focusing on traffic on the website, what would be a reasonable figure? 1000 visits per day?= $1 dollar? 100,000 visits per day?=$??? Thank you very much for the help and support, Antonio

Using my name for personal branding?
AndrewSolomon and AndySolomon are both taken as domain names. I use the alias "andymisiu" for all of my social accounts. I'm thinking of buying AndrewJSolomon as my domain name as James is my middle name. Should I be concerned with using my middle initial in my domain name? I'm going to include "andymisiu" in the site title for recognition and branding. What do you think? any advice?

Best Way for Resellers to Use Outbound Links to Software Demos
I have a software reseller site that wants to have ever-present linking buttons to demos of the software they sell--the demos are on their software vendor sites. My concerns relate to SEO and leaking link juice; but, also to constantly providing visitors with the exit door. What are the best practices for such a situation?

Should I put a promo code directly into Adwords copy?
Haven't worked with discount codes in years. Researching the ad copy I found very few sites putting the promo code directly in the ad copy. I thought this was a standard practice for increasing response. Do you know why companies with active promo codes don't use them in Adwords copy?
