I feel like I'm wasting time by going out and creating backlinks for a new page to increase page authority, especially when I've already got the domain link for domain authority.
In your opinion, how important is it to go out and create back links for a page? - am I wasting time I could be using towards creating more great content?

Page authority is extremely underrated. Even if you have a low domain authority, if you have a high page authority, you can rank above places like Wikipedia or others.
Moz treats all the links as no-follow so they don't actually help with indexing but as a random example if you had a root domain eg: https://www.poof.io
and you had a subdirectory: https://www.poof.io/payment-gateway/ethereum
Page visibility would be higher on the subdirectory if it were shared a ton of times with non-nofollow. If it didn't have high page authority and were just a page, then it would be indexed by Google but likely not very high up.

Google wants to know if the content of a page is worthy to show in the search results. So links towards a page are very important, if the content and technical SEO are done well. Links to a domein help to increase Pagerank from internal links, but incoming links from other sites are often stronger.

Over Optimised Magento Pages
We are working on a clients Magento site and we've added new copy which has a decent keyword density which is in line with best practice. When we run it through Moz we are getting a Key Word Stuffing alert saying the page has 27 keywords, where we can only see about 11. This is the page https://www.greatbeanbags.com/bean-bag-cushions The client is pushing back saying the page must have already been optimised before as our new copy has triggered the stuffing alert. But my guess is the page was already stuffed but buy some Magento code we can't see. Any ideas? #magento #Keyworddensity

Unsolved Moz API returning incorrect PA data
So I've been attempting to figure out Moz API to allow for batches of URLs to be searched and the data to be nicely put into a google sheet. I've setup the MOZ API for sheets add-on and everything appears to work, but after spot checking some of my data, I've found that for some reason, the page authority data returned by Moz API appears to be way off the actual number presented by other Moz tools, such as the tool bar and main site.

If the data returned is incorrect, how is Moz API useful? Am I missing something? Would love some help or advice, as this tool would be very useful in a functioning state!0 -
Is it worth buying an entry on Wikipedia-type sites?
Recently I've come across a few websites offering (for a fee) to research, write and publish an entry on the likes of Wikipedia, Citizendium or Wikitia - I thought this might be helpful when it comes to marketing and link building for a brand or individual. Purchasing guest blog posts is a standard way to obtain a high domain authority in-context backlink, but I wondered if purchasing an entry on one of these human edited encyclopedias would be as effective, better or not worth the money? It costs quite a bit more than guest posting and blog outreach, but on the other hand they are authoritative websites that also include backlinks. Any thoughts would be most welcome.

I allow authority sites to republish my blog articles, which then outrank me
Hey everyone. This is my first question here, I apologize if it has been covered before. I have a health and nutrition blog [authority nutrition] that has been up since December 1st, 2012. I've managed to write quite a few viral articles which have given me a bunch of natural links and a domain authority of 49, which I think is pretty great for such a new site. Haven't done any link building and everything is 100% white hat. Getting good rankings and good traffic already, so I can't complain. My only (1st world) problem is that sometimes major authority sites (DA of 70-95) republish my content. I always say yes if they ask me first, but some of them just republish without even asking. My articles are always indexed on my blog before they get republished, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. These sites always clearly link to the original URL, but they often tend to outrank me for the keywords I was targeting in the articles. They tend to rank in the top 5, but my original article is nowhere to be found. I plan on continuing to allow these sites to republish as I get powerful links and good traffic from them, but it's a bit frustrating that I don't seem to get the credit as the original source. I've already set up Google Authorship, but it doesn't seem to help. Is there anything I can do to make sure Google recognizes my article as the original and chooses to rank my site instead of the authority site that simply republished my article?

Is it Possible for an Internal Page to Rank for Various Terms Based ONLY on Blogging Anchor Text?
Hi everyone, Our company provides about 6 different services, each with a specific page on our website: 1. Accept ACH Payments (/accept_ach_payments.html) 2. Client Management & Billing Software (/customer_management.html) 3. Small Business Merchant Accounts (/small_business_merchant_account.html) etc etc Now, here's the question. One of our blogging strategies is to write content about how our online platform can help various types of businesses manage and grow their business. "5 Ways Fitness Business Can...." "How Law Firms Can Benefit...." etc In these blog posts, we don't specify our product, but we do link back into one of those main service pages, so I might link fitness management software to the Client Management & Billing Software (/customer_management.html) page as well as legal billing software to the same client management page Since there are so many different companies that could use our software, we don't want to include them on the Cl_i_ent Management & Billing Software page. That page is just about the benefits of the system and how it works as a great CRM. So....to make a long question short, are we able to rank the Client Management page for "fitness management software" and "legal billing software" if we don't use those terms on the "client management" page itself, and only use it as the anchor text when linking? Instead of making a separate page about how we can be used as a fitness management platform, we'd like our "client management" page to rank for various terms like "fitness management software" "legal billing software" "online church donation software" etc BUT, we don't want to bloat the client management page will all those other topics and content. Changing the author of a post
Hi, I've a number of wordpress posts that were written by different authors, and I want to merge them into a single author. If Google sees that originally the post was rel authored to person A and later we change the author reference to person B, will Google see this as suspicious in any way? Or does it not matter, as long as it's only attributed to a single author at any one time? Thanks, Leigh
