I am running a blog of skateboard parts, safety gears, and essential accessories from 6 months but still unable to find the mistakes why the website isn't getting ranked or traffic. But one thing that i have read is the new websites having age of around of 4 to 6 months get into the SANDBOX.

This might be your course after getting some traffic as my website has also got some traffic but it seems like it is in sandbox

Do not focus on backlinks first focus on quality content then focus on your site layout because now google has limit its crawl budget means google does not go far indepth with crawling

Link your important posts to homepage means your important articles must be 1 click away from homepage and your other articles should be maximum 2 clicks away from honepage

Brother there has been an update well like there are almost 3 updates in 2022 but your site is affected by google spam update. I have recovered one of my sites the things i do are:
Improve content
Change site layout
disavow spammy backlinks (you can check spammy links from moz pro spam checker)

It could be a lack of competitive analysis. Analysis helps to understand the strategies your competitors are using to improve their ranking and traffic. According to it, you can improve your website and its ranking.
And another reason could be an update on your website. Set a schedule and update your website occasionally. This will indicate to Google that your site is worth ranking every time it crawls your site. But make sure to update your website according to Google algorithms.

As long as i have found the answer per my experience is the spammed links.
You might be using any spams tool for creating backlinks. Or there was no specific strategy for OFF--page. Like the anchors distribution as well as the websites from where you are getting the links.

I still remember, i had a website of client based on the superlative skating gears like best skateboard decks and wheels were facing the same issue.

I just fixed some spammed backlinks and take them out of our website by disavowing in google disavow tool. The site was getting ranked again after a month.

One of my clients who is a leading tech magazine also faced a similar issue. I did an audit for them, I wasn't able to find any single issue. This is frustrating.
