      1. Different Methodologies: Moz and SEMrush use different algorithms to calculate DR.

      2. Data Sources: Moz and SEMrush may pull data from different sources for backlink analysis.

      3. Frequency of Updates: Variations in how often Moz and SEMrush update their databases can lead to differences in DR scores.

      4. Scope of Analysis: The scope of websites analyzed by Moz and SEMrush may vary, impacting DR scores.

      5. Algorithm Changes: Updates to algorithms used by Moz or SEMrush can result in changes to DR scores.

Discrepancies in backlink profiles between different SEO tools like Moz and SEMRush are not uncommon. Each tool may use different algorithms and sources to crawl and index backlinks, leading to variations in the reported data. Here are some steps you can take to understand and address the differences in your domain's backlink profile:

@LucyEmma Because both Moz and SEMrush have their own criteria

                  @mcafeeonline Hi!
Yes, I also face that problem when Moz shows different da on my website. And when I check from Semrush, it offers a difference.

                    Moz Q&A is closing, December 12th 2024

                    moz

After more than 13 years, and tens of thousands of questions, we’re finally closing Moz Q&A. Whilst we’re not completely removing the content - many posts will still be possible to view - we’re locking both new posts and new replies. Why? The truth is that the conversation has moved elsewhere. Sites like Twitter, Reddit, and more recently BlueSky and LinkedIn, have largely replaced specialist forums. At the same time, the challenge of moderating a platform like this has become more difficult, and of course, we’re SEOs, and the sheer quantity of new pages generated, often by malicious actors, has its challenges in terms of what it does to the profile of our site. Forums are still an opportunity for many sites, in SEO and more broadly, but the calculus no longer works for Moz. Where can I ask my question instead? If you’re a customer or currently evaluating a free trial, you can reach out directly with questions about the product to our customer support team here. If you want to learn more about SEO, you can check our learning resources here, and we also offer the Moz Academy. If you just want to hang out, you can also still find us on X, BlueSky, or LinkedIn. Thank you We’re grateful to everyone who has contributed to Moz Q&A over the years. It’s been a blast, and we hope this isn’t the last time we’ll see you here on the Moz site.

Does Google consider breadcrumbs to be duplicate titles?

duplicate titles multiple titles breadcrumbs google moz

Moz has been flagging a lot of our articles for duplicate titles. I noticed that the website was automatically generating the same words that were used for the titles above the articles and main images. But those are bread crumbs. Does anyone know if Google also considers those duplicate titles? I'm not sure if the screenshot I'm uploading will appear, but this is one of the blog posts the extra wording was showing up on: https://hometowneautorepairandtireofwoodbridge.com/blog/when-why-replace-spark-plugs/

Meta Tag Descriptions not being found in Moz Crawls

Hey guys, I have been managing a few websites and have input them into Moz for crawl reports, etc. For a while I have noticed that we were getting a gratuitous amount of errors when it came to the number of missing meta tags.  It was numbering in the 200's.  The sites were in place before I got here and a lot of the older posts no one had even attempted to include tags, links of the page or anything. As they are all Wordpress Sites and they all already had the Yoast/Wordpress SEO plug-in installed on them, I decided I would go through each post and media file one at a time and update their meta tags via the plug in.  I personally did this so I know that I added and saved each one, however the Moz crawl reports continue to show that we are missing roughly 200 meta tags.  I've seen a huge drop off in 404 errors and stuff since I went through and double checked everything on the sites, however the meta tag errors persist. Is this the case that Moz is not recognizing the tags when it crawls because I used the Yoast Plugin?  Or would you say that the plugin is the issue and I should find another way to add meta tags to the pages and posts on the site?  My main concern is that if Moz is having issues crawling the sites, is Google also seeing the same thing? The URLS include:

                    sundancevacationsnews.com
sundancevacationscharities.com Any help would be appreciated!

White Label Version of Moz Pro?

I may have missed it, but is there a white label option for Moz Pro? I have a few clients that would like to login and have a look at competition, rankings, etc. Perhaps something like WebCEO or MySEOtool?
