Hello! One of my clients' Facebook page isn't showing up on the SERP, even when you search "CLIENT NAME facebook" or an excerpt from a live post. Our social media team looked over all the settings in Meta, and everything looks correct, so we are stumped. Anyone encounter this before?

Hi, how many followers and also posts does the Facebook account have? It could be that the Facebook account is brand new, and therefore hasn't been crawled and indexed by Googlebot before?

Here are a few steps that may help:
-Check the privacy and publishing settings on the Facebook page.
-Make sure the page is not blocked for indexing by search engines.
-Check that the content meets Facebook's standards.
Contact Facebook support for further assistance.
          Hope this helps!

Hello! If your client's Facebook page isn't showing up in the search engine results page (SERP), despite correct Meta settings, there are a few things you might want to check and consider:

            Page Visibility Settings:
Ensure that the Facebook page is set to "Published" and not "Unpublished" or restricted in any way. You can find this setting in the Page Settings under General.

            Content Indexing:
Verify that the content on the Facebook page is accessible and indexable by search engines. Facebook may have restrictions that limit the visibility of certain content. Check the privacy settings on posts and make sure they are set to "Public."

            Page Name Consistency:
Confirm that the page name on Facebook matches the name you are searching for. Any discrepancies might affect search results.

            Crawl Issues:
Use tools like Google Search Console to check for any crawl issues or errors related to the Facebook page. This can help identify if there are technical problems preventing proper indexing.

            Fresh and Relevant Content:
Regularly update the Facebook page with fresh and relevant content. Search engines often prioritize active and engaging pages.

            Backlinks:
Encourage the generation of quality backlinks to the Facebook page. This can positively influence its search engine ranking.

            Search Engine Preferences:
Sometimes, search engine algorithms may take time to recognize changes or updates. Be patient and continue to monitor the situation.

If the issue persists, it might be helpful to consult with SEO specialists or Facebook support for a more in-depth analysis. They can provide tailored advice based on specific details about the Facebook page and your SEO efforts.

@GoogleAlgoServant Just to make sure that it's really not there, try this Google search, making sure to use quitation marks as indicated:

              "Exact FB Page Name" site:facebook.com

There's also a very good chance that it hasn't been indexed, and might not ever be...

                SERP Title Display Issue

                serp title tags

When doing a google search for "Wedding Invitations Toronto", you will find my site www.stephita.com shows up in top 5 results. I'm trying the figure out why the TITLE of the page no longer shows up in the SERP. Only the domain shows up above the link to the page. So you basically see www.stephita.com twice, when the first instance should be the "title" drawing from the HTML code. I did implement the JSON code to provide proper site data structure as well. Could someone check my source, and tell me if I'm missing something, or if I put TOO MUCH stuff there? Thank You!!!!

Unsolved New Google SERP Now Lazy Loading

                serp moz local

Hello, Google has changed the way it displays it's SERPs with lazy loading new listings. Because of this the Moz Chrome Extension no longer shows results past first results. I also often find that when a site is ranked above the Maps, it doesn't display results. Is there a fix for this?

Unsolved Site showing up in Google search results for irrelevant keywords

                serp keyword rankings

Hi there, one of my client's sites is showing up in Google search results / getting a lot of site traffic from keywords that while very close to words we're actually trying to target on the site, are irrelevant for the client and their site content. Does anyone have ideas of how to address this?

                Facebook.com / referral - What is it?

Hi Moz community! Coming to you today to ask a two fold question about a mysterious source/medium combination and also social medium data in general. First question relates to the attached image named 'Facebook Referral.' We've made sure to apply correct tags to all of our campaigns, both organic and paid, and are having a difficult time figuring out where this source/medium comes from which is a bit troubling as it actually has pulled in some revenue over the past couple of months The second question is around general Facebook data. Our Facebook business manager is vastly over reporting clicks to landing pages. For instance, we saw about 1,700 clicks to site as reported by Facebook business manager, whereas Google Analytics only registered about 950. I know data between the two channels rarely lines up perfectly, but this seems like a rather wide variance. Can someone help me to understand this, and let me know if there is anyway to reduce the occurrence of one or both of the issues we're facing. Thanks! referral.PNG

Facebook Name Change and Effect on SEO

Hey Mozzers! Trying this one again as my timing was probably pretty bad with Easter. Working with a company who has about 20K followers on Facebook and about 500 backlinks to their current facebook page. They want to change the name of the page to better reflect the business. I need to advise on this but I'm not sure of and how it will effect them. Any one had any experience in this area?

Does Google prefer YouTube video's embedded on a site or put in a Pop up image class for SEO purposes

Our company is an eCommerce site for aftermarket automotive accessories, we have been posting videos on our site. On some pages we have videos embedded from Youtube and on other pages the videos are embedded but in a Popup Image Class. Below I'll provide an example of one way we put the popup image class on our site <iframe id="vidf" style="display:none;" width="460" height="320" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/MattCutts?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe> Now concerning SEO would it be better just to embed a video the traditional way or use the popup image class? The reason I ask is because the popup image class hides the video on the page with an image on top then once you click that image the video pops up. Can Google still crawl/see the video? What would be best practice for SEO?
