I'm facing challenges optimizing Core Web Vitals on my Shopify store. Does anyone have experience with Shopify apps that effectively address LCP, FID, and CLS issues? Any specific recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

To optimize Core Web Vitals on Shopify, consider using Page Speed Booster or Crush Pics for improving LCP through image optimization, Speed Booster or Script Manager to address FID by managing JavaScript, and Layout Shift Fixer or adjusting theme settings to reduce CLS. Regularly test with tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to get specific recommendations for your store.

You can solve these critical web issues on a Shopify website with the help of apps that will ensure your site speed is as fast as loading times are improved, and OTT experience to customers. Some Strong Apps from the Shopify Store:

The app, PageSpeed Optimizer: Image & Speed Up helps to optimize images, scripts, and CSS in an automatical manner thereby boosting Core Web Vitals parameters like site speed.

NitroPack: is famous as an all-in-one optimization solution, which boosts your site by caching improvements and image compression in addition to optimal HTML/CSS/JS minification.

Booster: Page Speed Optimizer App enables the functionality of lazy loading images and script optimization which is one main factor affecting your Core Web Vitals scores.

Using them will guarantee that your Shopify website status is consistent with Google Core Web Vitals rules and therefore improves the user experience which in turn reflects itself on SEO positioning.

To address Core Web Vitals issues on a Shopify website, start by optimizing images through compression and conversion to formats like WebP, reducing JavaScript, and implementing lazy loading. Recommended apps include "Booster: Page Speed Optimizer" for enhancing site speed, "Tiny IMG SEO & Image Optimizer" for image optimization, and "AMP by Shop Sheriff" for faster mobile pages.

Optimizing Core Web Vitals for a Shopify store can be challenging, but there are several apps and strategies that can help improve LCP (Largest Contentful Paint), FID (First Input Delay), and CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift). Here are some recommendations:

                          Shopify Apps:

PageSpeed Optimizer: This app helps optimize images, minify JavaScript and CSS, and implement lazy loading to improve LCP and overall page speed.
Booster: Speed Optimizer: Offers various features to speed up your store, including image optimization, script management, and caching enhancements.
Crush Pics: Specializes in image compression to help reduce LCP by speeding up image load times without losing quality.
TinyIMG SEO & Image Optimizer: Provides image optimization and can improve page load speeds and LCP.
                          Performance Tips:

Image Optimization: Use tools like TinyPNG or ImageOptim to compress images before uploading them to Shopify. Ensure images are in the appropriate format (e.g., WebP).
Minify CSS and JavaScript: Minify and combine your CSS and JavaScript files to reduce file sizes and improve load times. Apps like Minifier can assist with this.
Lazy Loading: Implement lazy loading for images and videos to improve LCP. Some Shopify apps offer this feature or you can manually add it using custom code.
Reduce Third-Party Scripts: Limit the use of third-party scripts and apps that might slow down your site, affecting FID and CLS.
Use a Content Delivery Network (CDN): Implement a CDN to serve your content faster from servers closer to your customers.
                          Custom Code Solutions:

Async and Defer: Modify your theme’s code to load JavaScript files asynchronously or defer their loading to improve FID.
Critical CSS: Inline critical CSS to speed up the rendering of above-the-fold content and improve LCP.
                          Testing and Monitoring:

Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, or Web Vitals Chrome Extension to regularly test your store’s performance and identify areas for improvement.
By combining these apps and strategies, you can effectively address issues related to LCP, FID, and CLS on your Shopify store.

@faizalialiali Reduce images size using cloudconvert or any other tool. Use any shopify plugin that can help you minify css files like Minify Me. That's the process, that helped me improving the core web vitals of my website.

                                Redirecting an Entire Website?

                                redirecting domain redirect former site

Is it best to redirect an old website to a new website page by page to like pages or just the entire site all at once to the home page of the new site? I do have about 10 good pages on the site that are worth directing to corresponding pages on the new site. Just trying to figure out what is going to preserve the most link juice. Thanks for the help!

                                My website is constantly decreasing

                                loss of ranking

For few weeks ago my website is constantly decreasing in search position. I lost keywords and is gooooing down.
Although it is well rated on several on page and off page seo verification software that I have tried.
I checked Google search console and Analytics and found no major problems. However… from one day to another it keeps going down.
I also checked what the main competitors are doing and they are not doing well, at all.
The main competitor actually has a creepy website. Totally devoid of onpage or offpage SEO but with an enormous number of backlinks. And of a very bad quality, which should disqualify it, still…
Few weeks ago I changed something.
In the pages I had H1, 4xH2, no H3 and an H4 without content.
                                An unnatural H tag structure.
                                Now I have H1, H2, H3, 3xH4, with the coherent information.
Theoretically, Google should have been “happy” or I’m missing something. I use a SAAS platform.
I just found out that they made changes to the keywords (tags).
I am selling toner cartridges for printers.
                                So…
The tags are printer models and generate a url in which they have the products.
Ex. https://www.sertit.ro/cartus-imprimanta-cilindru-color-hp-laserjet-pro-m-177fw goes to the products for that printer model.
The question is… should I make tag canonical?
Is it possible for products to loose so much in Google search?

Correct use of schema for online store and physical stores

I have been getting conflicting advice on the best way to implement schema for the following scenario. There is a central e-commerce store that is registered to it's own unique address which is "head office". There are a few physical shops each of which has their own location and address. Each shop has its own landing page within /our-stores/. So each page on the website has the Organisation schema for the central 'organisation', something like: Then on each physical store landing page is something like the following as well as the Organisation schema: Is this correct? If it is should I extend LocalBusiness with store URL and sameAs for GMB listing and maybe Companies House registration? It's also been suggested that we should use LocalBusiness for the head office of the company, then Departmentwith the typeStore.  But i'm not sure on that?

                                Redirect and ranking issue

Hi there - was wondering whether someone might be able to help. For a period of a day and a half, all the traffic to our website's blog articles were mistakenly being redirected to our homepage. A number of these articles ranked in the top 5 in Google worldwide for their targeted keywords, so this was a considerable amount of organic traffic that was instantly being redirected. It was a strange site glitch and our web team rectified the error, but now all these articles have disappeared from Google rankings (not visible anywhere in the first five pages). I'm presuming this must be linked to this redirect issue - we've been advised to wait and see whether Google restores these rankings, but I'm still concerned as to whether this represents a more serious problem? We have re-indexed the pages we are most concerned about, but am not sure whether there is anything else obvious we should think to do. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd be happy to hear them!

Hi, We use Magento v.1.7 for our store. We have recently had an SEO audit and we have uncovered 2 major issues which can be pinpointed to our layered navigation. We use the MANAdev layered navigation module. There are numerous options available to help with SEO. All our filtered urls seem to be fine ie. https://www.tidy-books.co.uk/childrens-bookcases-shelves/colour/natural-finish-with-letters/letters/lowercase have canonical url correctly setup and the meta tags as noindex, follow  but Magento is churning out tons of 404 error pages like this https://www.tidy-books.co.uk/childrens-bookcases-shelves/show/12/l/colour:24-4-9/letters:6-7 which google  is indexing I'm at lost at how to solve this any help would be great. Thank you **This is from our SEO audit report ** The faceted navigation isn’t handled correctly and causes two major issues:● One of the faceted navigation filters causes 404 error. This means that the error isappended each sequence of the navigation options, multiplying the faulty URLs.● The pages created by the faceted nav are all accessible to the search engines. Thismeans that there are hundreds of duplicated category pages created by one of theparameters. The duplication issues can seriously hinder the organic visibility. The amount of 404 errors and the duplicated pages created by faceted navigation makes italmost impossible for a search engine crawler to finish the crawl. This means that the sitemight not be fully indexed and the newly introduced product pages or content won’t bediscovered for a very long time.

I have multiple URLs that redirect to the same website. Is this an issue?

I have multiple URLs that all lead to the same website. Years ago they were purchased and were sitting dormant. Currently they are 301 redirects and each of the URLs feed to different areas of my website. Should I be worried about losing authority? And if so, is there a better way to do this?

How to fix Google index after fixing site infected with malware.

Hi All Upgraded a Joomla site for a customer a couple of months ago that was infected with malware (it wasn't flagged as infected by google).  Site is fine now but still noticing search queries for "cheap adobe" etc with links to http://domain.com/index.php?vc=201&Cheap_Adobe_Acrobat_xi in web master tools (about 50 in total).  These url's redirect back to home page and seem to be remaining in the index (I think Joomla is doing this automatically) Firstly, what sort of effect would these be having on on their rankings?  Would they be seen by google as duplicate content for the homepage (moz doesn't report them as such as there are no internal links). Secondly what's my best plan of attack to fix them.  Should I setup 404's for them and then submit them to google?  Will resubmitting the site to the index fix things? Would appreciate any advice or suggestions on the ramifications of this and how I should fix it. Regards, Ian

                                How to fix broken links?

Hi, I use WordPress CMS with Yoast SEO plugin.  I have just found out that my 403 errors increased dramatically. It seems that all my tags below of each post are being broken for some reason. When i click on the tags i get the following massage: **403 Forbidden Request forbidden by administrative rules. ** I assume it has something to do with the configuration within Yoast SEO plugin. Dose anyone know how should i fix that? Thanks, Raviv evsGujA
