RE: How to deal with old, indexed hashbang URLs?
Celts,
Did you ever resolve this? What you were discussing back in 2012 is called a "hashbang", and you can learn more about it here on Google. It is technically a way to get AJAX-loaded pages indexed on their own URL.
You asked this question a couple of years ago, and things have changed since then with push states and HTML 5 being preferred over hashbangs, and not loading a page's content with AJAX still the recommendation when possible.

RE: Error 403
Is there another folder on your server called resources? If so that maybe the problem. See this thread...

I did run Xenu on your site and experienced the 403 error on that page only. There were other 404s that need to be fixed as well FYI,,,

RE: Error 403
Jessica,
Is the page(s) in question indexed by Google? I
I would recommend trying another site crawl tool like Xenu Link Sleuth, GSiteCrawler and see if they are able to crawl the site without issue. Could also be something to do with your hosting company trying to prevent Denial of Service (DOS) attacks... If you want to send me the URL I am happy to crawl it for you with one of these tools.

RE: Error 403
seems like your website is blocking access to the file. A few questions:
1. Are you blocking robots in your txt file from this url?
2. Do you get the 403 erri when you manually visit the page?
3. What CMS if any are you using? If it is Joomla we've seen some strange things happen with some of the security modules when using crawl tools such as GSiteCrawler.

Much of the work we do in SEO is trying to deconstruct the algorithms through competitive analysis. We research the attributes of the top ranking websites, evaluate what they have in common and then try to emulate the factors that we believe may have the greatest positive impact. This is what we must also do in optimizing for Local Search.

While SEO and SEM strategies were still younger than his daughter (she's six), Mike began his journey towards founding seOverflow. Honing his skills in the early 90s during the dot com boom, he worked for online industry giants like Sun Microsystems and Level 3 Communications. He jumped ship from corporate America and decided to captain his own boat, establishing relationships with web designers and other online marketing professionals. Mike's also an avid fly fisherman, which might explain the boat analogy. Or maybe the copywriter just felt like making a boat analogy. In any case, Mike found a niche assisting web designers and other marketing professionals expand their offering to include SEO services without having to specialize in the ever-changing space. Random fact about Mike: His grandfather invented the toilet on the Space Shuttle.
