Unsolved Help with API Error: "Query Not Found" for a Specific URL
Hi everyone, I'm trying to retrieve data for a specific URL using the Moz API, specifically the data.site.metrics.fetch method. The URL I'm querying is: https://www.fiftyfiveandfive.com/ai-agents-marketings-new-means-of-production When I make the API request, I receive the following 404 error: { "id": "unique-id-testing", "jsonrpc": "2.0", "error": { "code": -32655, "status": 404, "data": { "key": "site_query.query", "value": "https://www.fiftyfiveandfive.com/ai-agents-marketings-new-means-of-production" }, "message": "That query was not found." } } However, when I check the URL in Moz Link Explorer, I can see that the page has a Page Authority of 23 and a Domain Authority of 36, but no backlinks or ranking keywords. What I'm Trying to Achieve:
| Chris_Wright1664
I’m attempting to retrieve metrics for this page via the API, but it seems like the API does not recognise the URL, even though it’s visible in Link Explorer. Questions: Why does the API return "Query Not Found" for a URL that is indexed in Link Explorer? Is there a way to request Moz to crawl or re-crawl this URL to ensure it's accessible via the API? Are there any additional criteria the API requires (e.g., backlinks, ranking keywords) before it recognises a URL? Additional Info: I’ve verified that my robots.txt file allows all bots, including Rogerbot. list itemThe page is included in the sitemap, and the URL is accessible without any restrictions. list itemI’d appreciate any insights on how to resolve this issue or steps to take so that the Moz API can retrieve data for this URL.0 -
Unsolved MOZ API for domain authority
I am using the MOZ API to check domain authority (DA). Recently, I noticed a discrepancy: the DA value retrieved via the API differs from the result on the MOZ homepage. Specifically, the API returns a DA of 10, while the homepage shows "NO DATA." Additionally, other services like Ahrefs report a DA of 0. I relied on the MOZ API's result when purchasing this domain and now feel misled. I would like to understand the exact reason for this inconsistency.

New to the SEO world
Hello, I am new to the SEO world though I realize it's importance when trying to make your site noticed. I am working with a shopping cart (Pinnacle Cart) and It has the fields to put in the data such as the meta tags, description keywords and whatnot. My problem is that I do not know how to use MOZ to strategize what keywords to use and how to populate them to the Google search engine. That said, someone told me that Descriptions for Section pages are far more important than keywords. Can anyone help or give me some insight on how to start this process? Once I have it all running, about how long will it take to propagate through Google? Thanks!

Mozscape API - Keyword Rankings?
Hi, I'm using the free access to the Mozscape API and while I'm still a novice about what data the Mozscape API can pull I can't seem to figure how to pull the keyword rankings for my campaigns. I reviewed https://moz.com/help/guides/moz-api/mozscape/api-reference/url-metrics but can't seem to find what value I need to call. Can someone guide me in the right direction or is this something only the paid version has access to?

The New and Improved Domain Authority Is Here!
Update: Domain Authority 2.0 has arrived! Check it out over in Link Explorer or in your Campaigns, and visit our resource center for more information about the change. Hey Moz friends, I’m excited to share some news from the Moz product team. In the last few months our team of data scientists have been hard at work developing an improvement to one of the favorite SEO metrics used in digital marketing: Domain Authority, also referred to as “DA.” On March 5, 2019, we’ll release the new and improved Domain Authority algorithm, which includes a number of new factors that make this score even more accurate, trustworthy, and predictive than ever before. Having worked with marketing clients in the past and reported on Domain Authority during monthly reviews, I wanted to make sure we give our community enough advance notice to understand what is changing, why it’s changing, and what it might mean for your reporting. Sudden, unexpected fluctuations in any core metric you use in reporting have the potential to make your job more difficult, so we want to help you start the conversation about this change with your stakeholders. Let’s start with the “why” ... Why is Moz changing the DA algorithm? The Search Engine Results Page (SERP) is constantly changing. Rankings change and the algorithms that drive those rankings change. For Moz to ensure you have the most accurate prediction possible, it means we need to update our algorithm from time to time to ensure it delivers on its promise. You trust Moz, in part, because of the accuracy of the data we create. We want to make sure that we’re providing you with the best data to make your work easier. To ensure that DA continues to accurately predict ability of sites to rank, and to remain reliable over time, we’ve decided to make some improvements. What can I expect from the DA algorithm update? Many sites should expect to see a change to their current Domain Authority score. Depending on the site, this change might be insignificant, but it’s possible the new algorithm will cause material adjustments. The new Domain Authority takes into consideration a number of additional factors, such as link pattern identification and Moz’s Spam Score metric, to help you deploy your SEO strategy. How can I prepare for this algorithm update? I recommend that you reach out to your stakeholders or clients prior to the March 5th launch to discuss this upcoming change. This can be an opportunity to both refresh them on the utility of Domain Authority, as well as plan for how to use it for additional link building or ranking projects. Visit this page to check out resources that may help you to have conversations with your stakeholders. If you feel inclined to save a snapshot of your current Domain Authority and history, you can consider exporting your historical data from your Moz Pro account. Is historical data changing? Yes. When the new DA algorithm goes into place, all historical data will be affected. However, for anyone who has an active Moz Pro campaign, you will be able to see a historical representation of the old DA line for reference for an interim period. As the “Metrics over time” chart is designed to help track your work over time, we believe applying the update to both past and present DA scores will help you to best track linear progress. Is Domain Authority an absolute score or a relative one? Domain Authority is a relative, comparative metric. Moz evaluates over 5 trillion pages and greater than 35 trillion links to inform Domain Authority. Your site’s links are evaluated amongst those trillions of links. Because of this, it is important to compare your DA to your competition, peers, and other sites that show up in search results important to your strategy. In terms of how to use Domain Authority, nothing is changing. If you use it to evaluate domains to purchase, it will function exactly the same. If you use it to find hidden keyword ranking opportunities, it will still be your best friend. It’s the same trusty tool you used before — we just sharpened for you. I saw a change to my DA when Link Explorer launched last April. What’s the difference between that change and this one? In April 2018, Moz released its new link index along with its new research tool, Link Explorer. Because the link index was so much larger than the previous index, and because Domain Authority is based on attributes discovered in that index, scores changed. Any changes that occurred were due to the upgrade of that link index, not how the algorithm calculated scores. The change coming in March 2019 will be an actual algorithm update to how Domain Authority is calculated. How will Page Authority (PA) be affected by this update? Page Authority will not be impacted by the March 2019 update. This particular algorithm update is specific to Domain Authority only. Will API users be affected at the same time? Yes. The Domain Authority metric in all of our products, including our API, will be affected by this update on March 5th. Check out this page for more resources about the Domain Authority algorithm update. You can also read more here in Russ Jones’s announcement post on the blog. We’d love to hear from you here in this Q&A thread, or you can send an email over to help@moz.com with any questions.

Website domain authority dropped from 55 to 1 in two months
Hi all! Our website DA dropped from 55 to 1 in a matter of two months. Last time I checked, it was two months ago and the website DA was 55. When I checked today, it is 1. Needless to day, I am shocked. The website has been around since 1995 and has always had pretty decent DA and PA. We made a couple of important changes during past 3-4 months. One is to support HTTPS and another is to implement the responsive web design to support browsing by mobile devices. What could be the reason for such a dramatic drop of DA in a short period of time? Where would you suggest me to look for it? How can we get the problem fixed? Here is the website URL: www.infohub.com Thank you!

Can we get access to Moz's Rank Tracker via the API?
I'd like to be able to pull the results from Rank Tracker into my own application. Can I access it via an API? I don't see it anywhere in the Moz documentation, which is usually a clear answer. If not, how do you suggest to automate the inclusion of this data without, for example, being blacklisted?

Hi, I just recently started getting errors when using the API. The request back contains zeros for all the keys except PDA which is a new to me. API - Row Limit Question
Hi, I'm new to using Moz, and have just got a "Low volume" API account set up. My question is, because ive not yet reached my maximum "Rows per month" limit, what behaviour happens when i reach it? Do i get an error code, if so what, and whats the status code. If not, does my account keep downloading the rows and i get charged extra (in accordance with the cost of the additional rows)? Or is the whole additional rows think like a bolt on? Basically i want to make sure i dont get charged extra each month, and i need the status code returned to handled this in my app. I couldnt see anything explicit in the documents. Cheers

API Limit Question
Hi, I am unfamiliar with API's in general but never had an issue with being throttled until today. I used the api a lot heavier today which is why. According to the API dashboard I made 5100 "requests" today and 21,000 "rows returned". I am using a MOZ PRO account and have been throttled as a result. I am wondering when does it reset? Is it a daily, weekly, or monthly limit that I hit and what is the limit? Thanks

What is Moz's Error.aspx?aspxerrorpath HTTP Status 302 error message?
Hi, I am not sure what this error message is: "Error.aspx?aspxerrorpath". It immediately follows pages that are given at 302 status in Moz's crawl report. The same pages have never had this error before: | http://www.homedestination.com/news/2013/Minneapolis-home-price-appreciation.html | | http://www.homedestination.com/mortgage-worksheet.html | | http://www.homedestination.com/foreclosure-eligibility.html | Each page has a 100% score with WC3. Could you give me more insight as to what Moz may suggest I do to give the page a 200 HTTP status as before? Thanks.

HTTP Status Code 0
Hi, I have over 1200 back-links in an excel 2010 spreadsheet and I have a trial account at Moz Analytics. I am trying to pull the HTTP Status Code of these backlinks from Moz using the SEOGadget for Excel tool [url: seogadget.com/tools/seogadget-for-excel/]. I am able to get the status code as 200 for some links but for most its 0. I am able to get some other info correctly so the problem is mostly with the HTTP Status Code retrieval. Could you please let me know whats causing this and how I can fix this so as to be able to get correct HTTP Status Code for for a list of 1200 back-links automatically. Thanks
