What tools/software provide the most comprehensive list of backlinks to your domain?
-
We're currently looking for a product that has the capability of providing a comprehensive list of backlinks pointing to our domain, which currently has 400+ URLs. We've tried SEOMoz Pro, Google Webmaster Tools, and Majestic SEO. Does anyone have any recommendations or tips on getting the best report of backlinks?

Hi Rasmussen, There are various tools from which you can easily check the back links fro your website.
They are mentioned below:
1. SEO SpyGlass
3.Ahrefs.
5.SEO Attack .
8.Blekko
10.Linkdex
There are some other tools also check them out!
2. Domain Pop
3. iWeb Tools
6. SEO Logs
I hope that your query had been solved.

Agreed. We were actually able to get in touch with Majestic SEO support and learned of their advanced reports. We plan to run link decay analysis using Screaming Frog SEO Spider as demonstrated in Rank Above's article to get a more accurate report of our live backlinks.

We weren't satisfied with the number of backlinks SEOMoz reported relative to YSE, prompting us to dig around for other tools on the market.

Nothing gives you everything. In my experience Majestic and Webmaster Tools will give you the absolute most backlinks (including plenty of junk ones that probably aren't helping your rankings).
Open Site Explorer gives you far fewer links (less than half what you'd find in Majestic), but generally shows links that probably are helping you -- of course there are plenty of links that are helping that aren't shown too, and the index updates very slowly.

SEOMoz's OpenSiteExplorer.org should do the trick. 400 links is actually not too many. You should be able to run the reports from OSE and then download the CSV. What other data are you looking for beyond what OSE already provides ?

Confused on setting up my domain in a campaign
I have a website that is www.example.com. When I first setup my campaign in SEOMoz, I missed the instructions that stated I need to set up my domain as it appeared in the browser. Thus, I set it up as example.com. When I realized my mistake, I setup a second campaign as www.example.com and am running them side by side to see the differences. My question has to do with the best setup. I have a blog that is a subdomain as blog.example.com. It appears that the www.example.com campaign is not crawling the blog pages but example.com is. Are there any downsides in setting up this campaign as example.com? I have a number of other sites with the same issue so would like to get this resolved before I setup the additional sites. Thanks for any assistance or insights into ways I may be "shooting myself in the foot" with the wrong domain structure in my campaign settings.

Duplicate page content on / and index.php
Hi I am new to SEOmoz and in the crawl diagnostics for one of my clients it came back duplicate content on the homepage www.myclient.co.uk and on the www.myclient.co.uk/index.php which is obviously the same page. I understand that the key is to do a 301 redirect from the index to /, however how will I know that this will not just create an ever ending loop on the server? From your experience how is the best way to tackle this crawl error? Also is there a specific question that I need to ask the server?

Domain.com and domain.com/index.html duplicate content in reports even with rewrite on
I have a site that was recently hit by the Google penguin update and dropped a page back. When running the site through seomoz tools, I keep getting duplicate content in the reports for domain.com and domain.com/index.html, even though I have a 301 rewrite condition. When I test the site, domain.com/index.html redirects to domain.com for all directories and root. I don't understand how my index page can still get flagged as duplicate content. I also have a redirect from domain.com to www.domain.com. Is there anything else I need to do or add to my htaccess file? Appreciate any clarification on this.

404 errors in SEOMoz crawl tool
I currently have several 404 errors in the latest crawls from SEOMoz. Here is an example of the error. http://dealerplatform.com/blog/2011/10/23/videos-for-auto-dealers/www.dealerplatform.com/ In all cases the error is a result of www.dealerplatform.com being added to the real url. Anyone seen this before? The site is a wordpress mutlisite. I don't see where this incorrect link is showing up anywhere on the website. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Competitive Link finder tool
I tried to use competitive link finder tool. it says that it will identify 10 most important links that my competitor get that I do not. The results that I get are inconsistent with linkscape tool. For example my competitor has a link on www lawyer-links dot info Google rank of that site is 1. Is that really one of their most important links?

Where is the keyword difficulty tool data sourced from?
I also use Market Samurai, and I've noticed what seem to be big discrepancies with the keyword data presented by this (data comes from Majestic SEO) and the Keyword Difficulty Tool. To take just one example, I analyze the term "how to remove tea stains" In the Keyword Difficulty Tool, this returns the following: Root Domain Linking Root Domains: 2,233 Page Linking Root Domains: 4 When I use Market Samurai, however, the data returned is: RDD (Domains linking to this domain): 19,911 RDP (Domains linking to this page): 19 I thought that these two metrics were the same for both tools, but I've written them out in case someone sees a difference. As I say, Market Samurai data is sourced from Majestic SEO - a reputable SEO company - but I have no idea where the Keyword Difficulty Tool data is from, nor why these differences are so pronounced? Are they indeed the same metrics in both cases, or am I missing something? Any insight would be much appreciated.
